You may have been elated to read on other websites yesterday that Phantasy Star Online 2 is heading overseas next year. Unfortunately, the official announcement only mentioned the PC release of the game – ominously ignoring the recently revealed Vita version.
Puzzled by the announcement, Joystiq contacted SEGA and got the following response: “We can't confirm any details about the final platforms for the North American and European versions of PSO2 at this time.”
The Vita version of the MMO is due out shortly after the PC release in Japan, so we expect SEGA to share more information further down the line. Fingers crossed the handheld title makes its way overseas.
