Remember when L.A. Noire virtually fell off the face of the Earth for several years, before making a prompt comeback and releasing not long after? Well, it looks like Rockstar Games could be applying the same covert treatment to Agent, the former PlayStation 3 exclusive that’s been shrouded in secrecy ever since Jack Tretton announced it at E3 in 2009.
A super sleuth over at Siliconera spotted that the Grand Theft Auto maker has renewed its trademark registration for the release. The filing – submitted by parent company Take Two – suggests that the title’s logo has not changed during its tenure in the shadows, as it explicitly references the handgun from the game’s original icon.
The last thing that we really heard about the Cold War era adventure is that it’s “still in development”, but may no longer be exclusive to the PlayStation format. If we had to guess, we suspect that the project's been shifted to the PlayStation 4, and will probably re-emerge once the hype surrounding Grand Theft Auto V has died down. Honestly, even after all of this time, we’re still eager to see the mysterious release in action.

Rockstar always seems to do this with new IPs. The Red Dead Redemption concept was first shown at E3 in 2005 and didn't release until 5 years later. With that game turning out to be great, I expect Agent to make an appearance soon and end up being well worth the wait.
I want another Red Dead Redemption and I want it now!
sony need this as an exclusive...
I've got a feeling it'll be announced again at Gamescom as a PS4 exclusive. Or they'll wait till next year's E3. If there was a time to hype it up again and put it back on the radar it would definitely be Gamescom
