Live music is fantastic, but it comes with a few major caveats. For starters, you’re often forced to rub shoulders with smelly scene kids who don’t know the meaning of the word ‘deodorant’. And then there’s the whole physical endurance aspect, which sees you standing around for hours on end while show-off roadies tune up guitars and count into microphones. Fortunately, you can cut out all of the nonsense with Qello on the PlayStation 3.
Out now in North America – and due out soon on the PlayStation 4 and Vita – the on-demand service allows you to stream a host of high definition concerts featuring acts such as Beyonce, Radiohead, and One Direction. Yup, now you can ogle Harry Styles without having to beat aside screaming school girls and mums that should know better. We reckon that that makes the service well worth its $4.99 monthly subscription fee alone.
Sign up now and you’ll get the first 15 days for free, as well as the chance to win a shiny new Vita. In addition to the range of concerts, the service also includes a slew of music documentaries, allowing you to swot up on your indie band trivia. Hey that's pretty neat. Are you watching live streams of concerts? And if you don't catch the live stream of a concert, can you watch it later?
@Squiggle55 Judging from the pictures and description, I'm assuming this is all concerts that were recorded for DVD/Blu-Ray/VHS release. This looks to be a Netflix for concert films.
This is a good idea, and at an extremely reasonable price. I'm definitely going to look into it!
