We've been getting plenty of news out of Square Enix recently and this extends to the Final Fantasy series, too, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Well, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has today announced release dates for the game's next three DLC packs – and it seems we don't have long to wait.
Booster Pack+ and Booster Pack (free version) – 21 February, 2017
First out of the gates is the so-called "Booster Pack". Details remain absent as to what, in fact, is included with this, but we speculate that it may be a small update similar to the rather bonkers but admittedly fun Holiday Pack which was released earlier in January. Of note is the fact there are two versions of this pack – a plus version for those with the Season Pass and a free standard version for everyone else.
Episode: Gladiolus – 28 March, 2017
Now this is where things start to get interesting. Since there's one pack for each member of Noctis' party coming in the next few months, we're assuming these will be more substantial story episodes to get to know each of the characters even better. First up is Gladiolus – the overbearingly gruff one with swoon-inducing muscles. And this episode will be somewhat sluggishly followed by...
Episode: Prompto – June 2017
We have a couple of months longer to wait for this one, but since the childlike Prompto was one of the more interesting (read irritating?) characters in the main game, this one is quite intriguing. Maybe we'll get a glimpse of the world through his candid eyes? Or get some more details on his past (wink wink)? That just leaves us waiting for Episode: Ignis and the enigmatically titled "Expansion Pack" – both of which Square Enix also announced as part of the Season Pass in addition to the above, which currently sells for £19.99 in the UK.
Have these release dates got your blood pumping? Are you ready to boost yourself back into the world of Noctis and co come February? Let us know in the comments section below.

oh yes im so ready lol
no Need for that Booster pack - but hell I want that episodes and the multiplayer lol
i cant wait ^^
Too little too late IMO. These story dlcs are taking too long to release. Other games are coming out.
There is also an active time report with Tabata on February 2. I enjoyed the game a lot and will be returningfor sure.
Cool. I'm done with this game though... So I'm good.
@ZurapiiYohane64 you'll probably have some info on that in the Active Time Report with Tabata on Feb 2.
Hopefully Booster Pack has a raised 500 photo limit and Pack+ 999. I'm sick of deleting stuff.
I'm only up to chapter 8, is Glafiolus missing time in an earlier chapter ever explained in game, b/c I've assumed since then his short absence is what his DLC will be, lots of fighting to explain the scars.
I'm guessing all 3 of the guys DLC will be playable from "Special" in the menu like the Carnival and won't really impact the game at all, basically just playable back story like the Brotherhood anime.
The only DLC that makes sense for Prompto is a Pokémon Snap type game collecting photos of all in game monsters to sell to Viv. Maybe that Gil can carry over to the main game.
Not sure what Igins DLC could be, though neither can they apparently which is why we'll be waiting another 9 months for it.
So should have waited for the Definitive Edition this holiday or next, oh well, having fun.
another freebie! neat!
@Feena 60fps patch? wow lol thanks for the info! you speakin of the pro Version or Standard ps4 (i just got myself the pro)
@consolfreak1982 Ps4 pro. They said the patch would be released in December. Tabata seems very transparent, so he'll probably talk about it in the ATR tomorrow... It's just a guess though.
@Feena omg yes - thank you! I admit FF15 Looks breathtaking on the Pro already, and I havent noticed a single hickup or anything, its crisp, stunningly beautiful and smooth. But hey - wont ever say no to further improvements (loading times? camera? lol)
@consolfreak1982 I believe it will be a 60fps mode running at standard PS4 resolution. You will then have the choice between playing it like that or with the higher resolution but with the current frame rate.
@Jake3103 ah just like those two Options now it seems, hard to tell a difference though the Standard Setting seems to Appeal most to me (dont know how its called in english, sorta like "advanced/power" idk).
