Update: In addition to winning Most Original Game and Best PS4 Game at Gamescom 2019, creative suite Dreams also took home the overall Best of Gamescom 2019 gong. Yet another Sony published title, Marvel's Avengers VR, won Best VR/AR Game, wrapping up another sensational showcase for the Japanese giant.
Sony’s booth at Gamescom 2019 did look a little light this year, with heavy-hitters like The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima taking a backseat, and Death Stranding not playable. That didn’t stop the Japanese giant from taking home a bunch of awards, though, as Concrete Genie won Best Family Game and Dreams won Most Original Game. Media Molecule also secured the gong for Best PS4 Game.
Elsewhere, graphic novel adaptation Blacksad: Under the Skin won the award for Best Action Adventure Game, while the anticipated DOOM Eternal was successful in the Best Action Game category. We’ve included the full list of winners below, with more to come as the Cologne convention wraps up this weekend.

I'm looking forward to playing Concrete Genie
Nice to see Dreams getting some well-deserved attention.
Surprised DS wasnt playable, hopefully at TGS.
Dreams has amazing creations. Just need to find them and lower expectations.
@SandraJMayorga How much they pay you to post comments to that website that's filled with virus/scams?
Cant wait for Concrete Genie looks fantastic. 😁
@Amppari Sony never really make their big exclusive games playable at these shows.
Nice to see Concrete Genie getting some recognition it does look artistic and fun
Sony needs to properly market Concrete Genie. It doesn't deserve to be slept on like Gravity Rush 2
Updated with more awards winners.
Well deserved and to celebrate I made a tune in dreams which is the best thing ever for a Space exploration game.

What all the doubters will see in 2020 is amazing stuff being pumped out which will start to make proper developers look silly.
@themcnoisy This is cool, man!
@themcnoisy nice.
@Frigate Everything will carry over. No release date has been announced yet, but I think someone at Gamescom let slip that it'll be early 2020.
@themcnoisy that’s good 👍🏻
@Amppari really! I have never seen a game like Uncharted 4 or God of War playable at an event.
@themcnoisy very cool and atmospheric. Nice work! I've always read your name as McNoisy but now I understand it's MC Noisy. Haha.
Sony is on fire.
@themcnoisy @hi_drnick I always called him McNoisy, it’s way more fun
@kyleforrester87 @hi_drnick either way works, McNoisy has a ring to it though!
Marvel’s Avengers VR threw me for a loop until I read the list and saw it was Iron Man.
