Cyberpunk 2077's Night City is said to be a little bit smaller than the open world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and the game's upcoming art book has just given us our first glimpse of its layout. As you can see in the rather large image below, numerous sprawling streets make up this piece of the map while the island in the centre seems to be the focal point of the city.
Although, this isn't the complete map as you can see the roads at the top and bottom of the image have been cut off quite suddenly. We think the final layout will be slightly larger when all is said and done, but unlike Geralt's treks across Novigrad and Skellige, Cyberpunk 2077 is said to be much denser. High-rise buildings will be accessible, making for more content the higher you go.
It's not much, but what do you make of this small glimpse into the world of Cyberpunk 2077? Plot your route in the comments below.

OooWeee............
before this game is released you gonna be real sick of this phrase.
I'm glad it's denser. There's really nothing to do in The Witcher 3's open world other than collect herbs, but all of the scripted material is great. So an environment that's more dense with scripted content will be a better fit for this developer's style of game design, I think.
@Ralizah But surely with the Witcher 3, and say for example RDR2, the lack of density is by design. Those two games feel real and compelling due to their lack of density. Unlike Far Cry where you're being attacked by one of the world's most endangered animals every 20 paces. It may not be your cup of tea but as far as immersion goes Witcher 3 and RDR2 nail it. But I'm with you this needs to be really dense in the same way the other two didn't.
@Eldritch agreed, and Tbh the Witcher 3 never felt empty to me, the areas felt naturally quieter. Sort of the opposite of Bethesda games which feel too condensed. I have no doubt it's a tricky thing to balance, along with modes of transport and fast travel. Generally I prefer not to fast travel much in open world games but when playing the sinking city I was doing it as much as possible as that open world was void of content and offered nothing once you've been around it a little. At least with the Witcher 3 there was something here and there, even if it was wolves, drowners or ghouls attacking.
Similarly Rdr2 felt about right, I rarely wondered around in tedium.
jesus chris PushSquare a spoiler warning would have been nice..
@Genejoke Same here. I've been playing RDR2 Online a lot recently and enjoy the balance they've achieved. With quiet areas to stranger events happening. It doesn't feel forced or, like you say, empty.
looks quite small.
I'm well gonna razz round that highway ringroad on my Akira bike.
