Personally they could give us a chapter or two to play, i got the chance to play some of the first game as the Beta before it was released I loved it, I guess being so huge with the fanbase they decided not to release a demo for us to play in the meantime, shame.

This is bad, very bad...I personally saw a brief snippet of gameplay and skipped through all the dialogue but even then this is not good at all, the leaks and spoilers are mounting up and the game has no release date in sight...

It's gonna be interesting to see if Ghost of tsushima is indead delayed because if it ends up sticking to it's Scheduled release, then one has to wonder why Last Of Us 2 had to get delayed at all...

Any more spoilers like this come out and this game is in deep trouble, hell, i wouldn't be suprised if the were forced to rewrite the story, meaning a possible 2 year delay or worse ....Cancellation.

If i was Sony, id pull out all the stops to have this Game out ASAP.

@Thunderlips69 yeah lol that’s not happening. They wouldn’t scrap and rewrite a script because of damn leaks. Games and movies have trolls who leak everything all the time and it rarely affects them. This game will still sell gangbusters and will come out whenever Sony decides the best time for that is.

While it's not a game I'm interested in, I do really dislike having something spoiled. So yeah, going to be bad for those that accidentally find out what it is.

The gameplay looks amazing, the graphics look great for alpha build and the game is long! Around 23-31 hours.

However, the story comes off like a really bad fan fiction that s**** all over the first game and it's characters.

I have my theories on the story. But nothing that I have confirmed. But honestly, I dropped my money already on this pre-order and now I don't even know when it is coming out. That is $70-something that I could have used elsewhere. Spoilers don't really mean as much to me as they do to the rest of the world. But still this is pretty crappy. But honestly, what do you expect when you put a game on an indefinite hold after people have already spent their money on it?

It sounds like a really bad gender swapped take on MGS 2. I just hope that this narrative makes more sense when it's fully out than it does now.

Honestly, I'd lost all hype for this game before the leak and after seeing the leak, I think that I don't regret cancelling the pre-order. Not saying I won't get it down the line, but it's definitely not something I need at release. Hope it's not too bad for the rest of you though.

Trying to avoid the spoilers as much as possible, it's been my most anticipated game since its reveal, I don't even know where it goes from here with release and whatnot, the hype for me has certainly died down with no particular reason than having to wait and wait for it, I'm more hyped for ghost of tsushima at the minute

The length of the development with the additional cast recruiting we saw last year it look like its taking this long to make the game just because what sounded as a good story plot at first, was then reconsidered and they had to do a lot of "reshooting" last year to make the game a bit more consumable by the mainstream. And we just have to pray, these leaked videos were prom the "previous version". You all think this is possible? I just HOPE so. (Didn't saw these spoilers but I can pretty much guess what was there…)

I mean, i feel bad that years of work from the development team has been leaked.

But there's always a certain amount of pretentious overexageration about the impact of this. It's really a quite simple fact of "don't watch the spoilers" if it's not what you want. Equally, don't go looking around for them, and almost certainly you won't find them. Nothing that a little bit of common sense doesn't fix.

This is another reminder that anyone who posts or even hints at spoilers will be banned immediately.

Push Square are doing what they should do which is report on it, but unfortunately it has the double sided effect that ultimately it's likely a few people will take this opportunity to use this article to spoil the game for those who are most interested in this game.

Sadly I’ve been already spoiled by some a-holes on Twitter. They posted screenshots from major plot points. It’s unavoidable I guess, unless you honestly disconnect from social media until whenever Sony decides to release it.

Huge bummer since it was my most wanted game this generation. Still have my physical preorder at GameStop and all.

You talk as though people are somehow entitled to someone elses hard work? I get that people are disappointed with this being delayed, but these big companies are run by stakeholders, and those people hold all the cards.

This won't make the game come forward, because the decision isn't made by the actual people making the game, it's made by the bigwig stakeholders who decide whats financially the best route to take to maximize profits.

So, people aren't getting back at anyone, because it's still going to sell a ton of units when it's released. All this does is hurt the fanbase.

What was the reason for the ex dev leaking it? Were they treated badly in terms of crunch and this was a revenge leak or something? Either way, going online at all is going to make a lot of people very nervous from now on. Fingers crossed it's all swept up soon.

Idiots spoiled RDR2 for me, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the game. Same with this TLOU2, it won't spoil it for me. Games are NOT MOVIES, there's a lot that goes into interactivity, once the layout of all levels, hidden items, weapons, outfits cutscenes etc haven't been laid out bare it isn't spoiled. It's time we tuned our minds that games have NEVER solely been about the story, it's about you UNIQUELY experiencing it for yourself, by y'know PLAYING it. I don't know but if we're going to be so sensitive about spoilers then I'd say official trailers have been spoiling games since the dawn of time.

First saw a story about this on Kotaku AU...much like here suggested maybe a disgruntled (or former),ND staffer or maybe QA tester-if they did manage to track down who,you would wonder if they'd be up for more than just a lawsuit from Sony/ND, & the conduct could be argued as industrial sabotage? And no doubt Xbots more than keen to spoil the party. :-/

Sony definitely need to put out a statement about this. You'd have to hope they can track down the source of the keak. Not sure what the punishment for breaching an NDA is, but im guessing its a hefty fine at the very least

Had no intention of buying, playing or even watching the game so helped myself to the spoilers in full. Not gonna say anything to avoid even tiniest chance of spoilers but yeah. Someone must have been really pissed.

@Rob_230 Having worked in the industry for 8 years believe me when I say whoever leaked this almost certainly took all preventative measures to protect their identity.

Every company has different terms for their NDAs so, it's not always clear. For some it's simply dismissal without pay. For others it's a court case with substantial damages by way of fines, or even community service and potential prison time.

Either way, it's unlikely they'll find who it is. I'm sure they'll have an idea, but they'll find no proof if this was a preconceived notion by the individual in question.

I was already worried about the direction Naughty Dog was heading towards with TLOU. But I couldn't believe what I have read. I'm happy that Sony grants ND to take risky decisions, but in the end what was even the purpose of it.

The story comes off more like a mashup of ""TWD"" and ""13 reasons why" rather than a full blown sequel to the original. Drama and shock value just for the sake of it. I don't want to spoil the story to all of you, but I advice you to take it with a grain of salt.

Treat your employees better and this does not happen.

Just release the bloody game already then. I won’t be going out of my way to spoil it for myself, but if I accidentally stumble upon it then I’m gonna be real mad.

What I find particularly piquant about the whole treatment of employees and postponements argument is that you can't have your cake and eat it.

So many people are upset about games being postponed, if there wasn't crunch periods where people are worked insane hours (and I've done them, they're soul crushing) then triple A titles would never hit release dates, or would take a hell of a lot longer to develop.

Due to the complexities of video games, putting the jigsaw puzzle pieces together when you have potentially tens of milllions of lines of code involes a tremendous amount of collaboration, communication and dedication, and sadly, pressure in order for games to hit their targeted dates.

Either be an advocate for people to be treated well, and accept that game delays will take place, and also take a lot longer to be completed. Or don't get involved in the conversation, because you can't have it both ways.

Regarding the leaks that I saw, I think it's not really surprising if you saw all the trailers.

After completing the first game and finding it somewhat unfulfilling I wasn't really interested in any follow up.
Sure TLOU was different, 'adult' in its characters, themes and narrative. The main problem was that it wasn't as much of a game.
as it was a 'TLOU experience'.

Thankfully I’ve just seen some gameplay video, looks really cool and slick like the first game was. I’ll avoid any plot spoilers as I want to find out for myself.

@CountryLyricist If they had released the digital editions before the physical editions, spoilers would be even more of a problem. I think that the biggest fans ordered the $200 limited edition, or whatever it is, and they'll be forced to wait as well. Additionally, these extra weeks give them some time to polish it. I don't see the problem. All the developers being quarantined would've caused some issues I presume. You don't just switch from working at an office, to working at home with the same efficiency from one day to another.

In the end it's only three more weeks.

Further to my comments above, I had a look at all the spoiler videos. I can see why the guy said the game will change the way you saw/understood the original story. However, my opinion is that in the process of forcing a change of perspective, they expected far too much of a shift from the POV of the player. They overplayed their hand when it came to using plot points to force a shift in our views.
I looked into the woman writer and see she worked on Westworld, so I can see where the thinking for the changes in the story form came from (No there are no androids)
You see a lot of these kind of narrative tricks nowadays - they are difficult to pull off and yet still keep the reader/viewer/player engaged. It seems Naughty Dog failed in this regard.
Oh and speaking of the really important issue of shifting the players point of view, the Lesbian thing should be far less of a concern to any objectors - Unless they are looking for more grist to the mill

@Constable_What no multiplayer sadly buddy, it was confirmed a while back but they may bring stand alone multiplayer at sum point. I really enjoyed the multiplayer as well. Had to play through it for the Plat trophy. I'm still sure the game is going to be fantastic visually and from a gameplay point of view. I find it amusing now that Sony/NG delayed the game because physical copies wouldn't have been available and they may have lost sales. Well now that this leak has happened they will be losing even more sales I would imagine

@Akurusu I am thinking if you don't defeat the 'final boss', you get a second ending. There will be no Trophy for either of the endings, you can still platinum the game either way. Fans gets what they want, Naughty Dog gets theirs and not too difficult to implement. Naughty can even run a tally of the number of gamer making each choice. Its a fun way of letting fans have a voice in the game.

In fact, if you didn’t have a problem with sexuality you would not claim that you don’t want “LGBT and SJW stuff” in your game, you’d be fine with it, excited even, that people that aren’t like you showed up in a game for once and get to share in the limelight with other, non LGBT characters. Also, maybe reflect on why you think this is (in your words) “propaganda” or possibly who you are listening to that told you this was “propaganda” and maybe educate yourself a bit on trans rights and the like, it’s not some big political statement, it’s human beings wanting to live a different life than you, and they deserve to be in video games just as much as Joel does.
