Far Cry 6 Officially Revealed for PS5, PS4

I'll more than likely just watch the cutscenes on YouTube when it comes out.

I used to be really into Far Cry, but I'm so burned out on it nowadays. I'd be more interested if this was the first Far Cry game since 4.

I’m a big fan of the far cry series. Day one for me.

I wish they would have shown off gameplay. These cinematic trailers do nothing for me.

Was disappointed with 4 after 3 then even more so with 5 after 4! Hope this one gets me interested again...

I really hope the story is as good as this youtube trailer but I remember far cry 5 also have cool trailer

They released some direct feed screenshots, and it looks gorgeous, so it's a shame they didn't show it in motion

It’ll just be more of the same so if that’s your thing, I’m sure you’ll be very happy. I don’t think I’ve played a single game in the series to be honest, it never really appealed to me.

I'm pretty sure I said this numerous times already...but damn do I hate cg trailers for videogames! No matter how cool they are they don't show any gameplay and I just can't get excited for a render that doesn't represent the game in any way..

wish they reveal actual gameplay.

Eh, not really excited for the game itself since this was just a cutscene, but holy crap, Giancarlo Esposito is voicing the villain? Hell yes to that much, he makes such an amazing villain in Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.

It'll be exactly the same as the others there has'nt been a decent Far Cry since 3 The only way they can hype the game up is with Gus Fring wait for reviews on this one

I must be one of the only ones looking forward to it then. Haha. I absolutely loved Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. I can’t wait for this.

Anyone else read the small print at the bottom of the marketing materials? It shows all logos, including PS4 and PS5 but says "plays in 4k Ultra HD on Xbox One X and Xbox Series X only".

Those screenshots posted above look lovely. Throwing a molotov at a tank is the equivalent of tickling a dragon, though.

Those screenshots look amazing to be honest, got me quite both excited and curious on this instalment to the franchise.

What did everyone think of the UBISOFT forward?

@Menchi That’s interesting. Do you have a link to that? I can’t find any reference to it. Just the systems it’s coming out for, and that you can upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X for free you buy it on PS4 or Xbox One.

@SoulChimera I could only find it in what is possibly a fanboy tweet, because nowhere posts the promo images anymore thanks to youtube videos.

@Menchi Thanks for that. I would guess it’s something Xbox marketing related as it also says HDR gaming on Xbox One S and newer consoles only.

and Ubisoft Support replied (verbatim) "Hey there! As stated on the banner, Far Cry 6 is 4k Ultra HD on Xbox One and Xbox Series X only. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."

@Menchi That’s bizarre. So Xbox One, massively under powered compared to PS5 is capable but PS5 isn’t?! Thanks again for the update mate!

@SoulChimera I'm assuming they were referencing the Xbox One X, from the marketing image. The only thing I could think of, is that if it's all accurate and legit, that maybe because the PS5 is slightly less powerful than Xbox Series X, they need to run at maybe 1800p or something to keep the same graphical settings. Xbox One X, 4k but 22fps with lower than lowest settings. Series X, high settings.

We'll see how it goes, a really weird situation.

@Menchi Sorry, I was thinking about the Xbox One X. (Which I own, Project Scorpio Edition). Their whole wording seems strange. Guess we will have to see, but surely that’s b******s?! Xbox One X is more powerful the PS4 Pro, but nowhere near PS5.
