Katana ZERO is making its way to PlayStation 4, if a new ESRB rating spotted by Gematsu is to be believed. The action-platformer now lists Sony's last-gen console as one of the consoles it is available on, meaning a PS4 release likely isn't too far away. The game originally launched on PC and Nintendo Switch back in April 2019 before being ported to Xbox One towards the end of last year. Now, a PS4 version appears very likely.
When our chums over at Nintendo Life reviewed the title, they slapped an impressive 9/10 rating on the metaphorical box. "The tough, hair-raising action sequences, gripping narrative, and impeccable sense of style elevate Katana Zero high above many of its peers, cementing it as a modern classic that sets new standards for what a side scrolling action game can be." Sounds like it might at least be decent, then?

Heard some good things about this one
Nice, already have this on switch but I want to play it on ps5 😃
This is a really great game. It's very short, played it all in one day (albeit a VERY relaxed day), but the gameplay is incredibly satisfying, it's got a really interesting story, and I still occasionally listen to the music on Spotify. Worth getting!
Been a long time coming-though if I understand correctly the switch version got refused classification down under...fingers crossed whatever the issues were they've been sorted out! 🤞Would hate to see another Fox n Forests or Night Trap Anniversary!
Played this on Switch. A fantastic game with a killer soundtrack.
Read that DLC was in development. Hopefully that isn't too far away either.
I always liked the look of this one! Cool that it's coming to other platforms.
Typical of my luck, i bought a Switch the other week to play this (along with Hades) and it's now finally coming to Playstation. Double dip purchase it is
Played it on Switch and loved it so much. Really can't wait for the inevitable DLC and/or sequel.
I didn't really enjoy this one. Felt like it was trying way too hard.
I'd recommend Hotline Miami over this 11 times out of 10.
One of my 2019 games of the year. Plays like a side on perspective Hotline Miami. Complete with synth, difficulty, quick restarts and satisfying gameplay. A must play.
This game is awesome, if you have a passing interest by all means get it!
It's short, that's true, but it's very replayable and everything about it is super polished.
If you like Hotline Miami, you're probably gonna like this as well.
I even forgot there's DLC coming out theoretically, let's hope to hear something about it when this version drops!
@everynowandben maybe I'm old, I don't know, but when did "trying too hard" become a negative? Isn't trying hard, as opposed to just sleepwalking through development, a good thing?
@PhhhCough It's always been a negative. You're discounting the key word: too. The difference between trying and trying too hard is that the latter ends up feeling inauthentic and/or hollow.
This is a very good game.
Microsoft's money starting to dry up, eh.
I've been meaning to play this game since I first saw it. All in for this one. Also, if I may, folks should play Furi and Ronin. Two excellent sword fighting games!
I've heard of this game in passing before and the artwork looks neat!
If this ever drops to $10-$15 during a sale, will def pick it up.
