Dauntless is a popular free-to-play action RPG that puts its own spin on the beast-slaying formula from Monster Hunter. It's been available on PlayStation 4 for a while now, but with PS5 having been out for over a year now, some fans have been hoping for the game to make the jump. Fortunately, developer Phoenix Labs has now confirmed a native PS5 port, and it's launching very soon indeed.
From 2nd December 2021, the game will be available as a PS5 title. The best part is that, once you've linked your accounts up, you'll be able to carry over your progress from last-gen to current-gen, picking up where you left off. Of course, there are lots of other benefits too. The PS5 version enhances the visual fidelity, with improved textures and lighting implemented, as well as dynamic 4K resolution and 60 frames-per-second performance.
Furthermore, the DualSense controller's features are put to use; the adaptive triggers and built-in speaker will get a workout. This version also incorporates 3D audio, vastly reduces load times, and even throws in many new Trophies to collect. That includes a Platinum, which the PS4 version doesn't have.

Free to play yeah i hate those ill be avoiding that like the plague.
@Flaming_Kaiser Agreed. Would prefer to pay for a complete game and not constantly be nickel and dimed or time gated. Our time is precious.
At the same time i've put well over 1000 hours into Genshin Impact and spent less than the cost of a new PS5 game so they can't all be bad. But perhaps that's also why i now dislike F2p so much generally.
@themightyant My problem is free to play bleeds into all games and with the big companies its always the worst parts that go in the games.
@Flaming_Kaiser Completely agree. We have already seen the proliferation of F2P mechanics in AAA. Stores, in game currencies, micro rewards and gated grind.
For all the complaints about Sony's £70 pricing the one defence I have for it is that by and large they are still releasing whole games without additional MTX. Which to me is preferable to £50/£60 + F2P / MTX mechanics.
@themightyant I will gladly pay a tenner more if we dont get Ubisoft games.
Monetized, never a physical complete edition, never finished and without bugs (sometimes we even have game breaking bugs), free to play looking menu's and a day one gold edition without fail. I cant think of one game Ubisoft game that is available in a complete state besides the first Watchdogs.
Look at Square Enix i always had full games and now we get complete editions with DLC slips its such a pity for game preservation.
And please people dont come with the nonsense that digital can be preserved because almost every digital gets removed or missing content. Some games get delisted to never see the day of light again.
