Uncharted — as in, the movie adaptation starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg — is getting its very own ride. Yes, the somewhat divisive film will soon be converted to a theme park attraction, in which you'll be able to feel the same thrills as Nathan Drake himself. Well, we assume.
Spanish entertainment resort PortAventura World made the announcement today on social media:
There are no details on the ride itself, only that it's set to open in 2023. It makes sense in some ways to have an Uncharted ride at this particular destination, as much of the movie is set, and was shot, in Spain.
It also speaks to the success of the movie that this is going ahead. The flick didn't land very well critically but viewers didn't necessarily agree, but despite the mixed reception, it became one of the highest grossing video game adaptations ever.
So, there you are. Soon there will be a ride based on the movie based on the Uncharted games. We wonder how many degrees of separation we can reach? Maybe someone will start a webcomic based on the ride.
Anyway, what do you think? Will you head to PortAventura World to give the Uncharted ride a spin? You must be this high to enter the comments section below.

Went there when I was 9. It's time to come back and troll the employee with a "Sic Parvis Magna" salute.
Port aventura used to be affiliated with universal studios theme parks I think, not sure if it still is
I've been to Port Aventura a few times. Dragon Khan is great!
I never actually went to PortAventura when I was in Barcelona. Think the only big European theme park I’ve been to is Gardaland, that was brilliant.
Uncharted: A Todo Gas Onda Vital.
Maybe I'll get the chance to visit across the pond some day. Sadly, not any time soon.
@KAIRU or dropping from trains
Nat, though not enough to make me travel to Spain.
