Thanks for the PSA, @ShogunRok. I played it safe and hit 'add to library' right away. I actually never got around to starting P5R on PS4 and was planning on picking up the recent PS5 release. But it doesn’t seem to add much beyond 60FPS, so I’m sticking with what I’ve got and I’ll finally start it once I’m done with Resident Evil 4. Thanks again!

@Snake_V5 Yeah, sorry, it's the Persona 5 Royal DLC Pack. There's a link to it in the article and in the source at the bottom.

Maybe this is because all the versions on the other consoles have dlc included? That seems unlikely, but perhaps. Hang on, it's just Europe, it's even less likely.

@ShogunRok Also, Persona 5 Royal on PS4 is showing as Persona 5 Royal Ultimate Edition. There doesn't seem to be just a standard Persona 5 Royal PS4.

How fast can I move to Europe? The cost savings of dodging the Atlus Tax surely must cover the expense?

@Snake_V5 Hmmm, interesting. Maybe the original P5R is being delisted? Might explain why they've had to make the DLC bundle free.

Shoulda been free from the start! Part of what makes RPGs is finding gear in-game not behind a paywall.

Man, I wish wish this was in the U.S as well.
I also wish the PS5 version had a save transfer. The lack of effort and making Persona has with these things, despite being a 10/10 game, is utterly ludicrous.

I only have the not royal p5, wish it worked with it. Added to the library nontheless. Thanks for the heads up!

@ShogunRok @Snake_V5 The standard version has been removed since the new port launched in October, this was probably because they wanted the game to be the same price with the same content on all platforms. I’m also pretty sure they reduced the price in Japan for the DLC around the same time to a really low price, but not free.

Meh I prefer to play my RPGs without these DLCs, being overpowered early on kinda ruines it for me. Also no intrest in outfits.

Got it, thanks. Besides the 60fps is there any difference between the PS4 and PS5 version? Still angry about the not existing upgrade path from SEGA. They really hate their PlayStation fans.

@Greifchen Some very, very, very minor stuff like slightly altered art assets, but you'd never notice them without knowing beforehand.

Only real differences on PS5 are 60fps and all the DLC is included.

Think I already have them but I will have a look anyways 🤔

all DLC for a "definitive edition" release should have been included free of charge in the first place.

Yeah, should have been free in the first place, considering this was already a re-release. It's what made me decide to not get the game. Now I might actually buy it since the DLC is all free.

@stvevan I actually own the og p5 on PS4 and the original p5r. And I also bought the newest version it on xb plus gp. Switch is basically the only thing I haven't bought it on.... Yet.... 😂

Edit (if they had an upgrade path I'd have upgraded the ps version of course but since they didn't I say least added a platform.)
