FromSoftware's mech epic, Armored Core VI, is getting a substantive patch in the form of 1.05, which adds ranked online matchmaking and accompanying leaderboards for official bragging rights. New PVP maps are inbound, as are personalised nameplates, and best of all, it's due out today, Tuesday 19th December, on PS5 and PS4.

While From has yet to release the full patch notes, publisher Bandai Namco has detailed what particularly competitive pilots can expect. NEST is getting an upgrade and can now be used to engage in Ranked Matches to battle rivals for eternal glory. Divided by skill tier, pilots can blast their way all the way to S-Rank in either 1-on-1 or 3-on-3 encounters.
