Blizzard has announced a third season of content for Diablo 4 will begin next week on 23rd January 2024. Given the name Season of the Construct, it's set to add a new questline, a new base of operations underneath Kehjistan, and a new type of dungeon named Vaults. Catch the announcement trailer above for more context.

A press release sets the scene: "Created by Zolton Kulle and Ayuzhan of Caldeum, an ancient technology known as the Loom has been usurped by the Demon Malphas. In this all-new quest line, team up with Zoltun’s former companion, Ayuzhan, to defeat Malphas and his deadly constructs." Alongside the new questline, the other big thing about Season of the Construct is Vaults, a new type of dungeon that houses a new monster family: The Constructs.

First, you'll source Pearls of Warding from Elite Constructs found in Arcane Tremors, then take these to a vault to gain Zoltun's Warding, which unlocks rewards at the end of a vault. "These will diminish stack by stack if you fall prey to the Hazards within. Pearls of Warding can increase the risk by exchanging them for stacks of Zoltun’s Warding, but success will see your reward increase as well." You'll also be able to unlock a Seneschal companion to fight by your side.

New leaderboards and quality-of-life updates will also be packed into Season of the Construct, including an extra Stash tab and UI improvements. Then, at some point during the season, The Gauntlet will test players to compete for the top spot on a leaderboard within a weekly fixed rotating dungeon. The best scores earn a place in the Hall of the Ancients.
