Publisher Atari and developer Llamasoft have announced a reimagined version of I, Robot — a classic 1980s arcade game.
Coming to PS5 (with PSVR2 support) and PS4 on 17th April 2025, the game is all about flipping tiles and avoiding the ire of the ever-watchful eye.
In Minter's trademark style, the game is a psychedelic feast for the senses as you navigate stages, shoot down enemies, and rack up high scores.
It looks to stick relatively close to the core gameplay of the original, albeit with modern flair and, of course, massively updated visuals.

What we see in the trailer seems to be the regular version of the game, but it is also getting PSVR2 support, which will be very interesting to see first hand.
Anyway, the game is out in just under a month — are you planning to check out I, Robot? Eyes open in the comments section below.

Always love to hear about Jeff Minter releasing another game.
I have to admit, I loved a good Jeff Minter game back in the day, so I’ll definitely check this out at some point. While I’m at it, I really must pick up Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story next time it’s on sale. Mainly so I can play Gridrunner Remastered. I loved the original, and the remastered version looks great.
I also need to grab Polybius and Tempest 4000, too. I had a great time with TxK back during the Vita days. Why do I always seem to prioritise the big AAA releases and allow myself to let gems like these arcade greats pass me by? [Akka] Aaaargh!
This should be a trip!
