What stands out about Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep is not so much the familiarity of the startling cutesy concept, but the way in which the vibrancy of the game's Disney inspired plains really pop on the PSP's screen. Here you'll be playing through levels inspired by Cinderella's Castle and Lilo & Stitch, among others. The Kingdom Hearts games always give Square Enix's artists the freedom to craft truly stunning worlds, and Birth By Sleep looks no less magical — something which alone is enough to put the game on our most anticipated list.

Of course, given the game's from Square Enix you can almost assume there'll be a rich and compelling RPG gameplay experience attached. The PSP's having an extraordinary year when you factor Peace Walker and Ghost Of Sparta into the equation. Hopefully with the pulling power of a Kingdom Hearts title, people will continue to take notice.
