Major Credit Card Firms Have Denied Noticing Any Fraudulent Activity Associated With Sony In The Wake Of The PlayStation Network Security Breach.

That line has now been corroborated by a number of leading US banking outfits.

Speaking with Bloomberg , spokesmen for Wells Fargo, American Express and MasterCard said they "were monitoring cardholder accounts and hadn't seen unauthorized activity relating to Sony". The platform holder confirmed late last night that all credit card information was encrypted on Sony's database server.

The breach of Sony's network was originally deemed to be much more catastrophic than the reality is proving, as Sony warned users to be vigilant with their financial statements in order to check for any unusual activity. Despite a number of unsubstantiated claims being posted around the 'net, we doubt any are a direct result of the PlayStation Network hack attack.
