Sometimes we get cravings for a new GTA, y'know? We'd pull out Grand Theft Auto IV again, but our copy is hidden right at the bottom of our collection of PS3 games. We have a lot of PS3 games. It would take too much effort to find the disc. Yes, we're lazy.

Anyway, GameSpot has it on good authority that Grand Theft Auto V will release next year. The site says that "development is well under way" and that the finishing touches are being applied to the sequel, including "mini games". The site notes that the game's scale is vast, adding that it's the "big one".

Still no firm details on the game's setting, but the rumour is LA.
