Sony has officially announced the lineup of PS5, PS4 games heading to PS Plus Essential for the month of November 2022, confirming yesterday's leak was the real deal. Members can look forward to the following three titles joining the list of All PS Plus Games next week:
- Nioh 2 (PS5, PS4)
- Heavenly Bodies (PS5, PS4)
- LEGO Harry Potter Collection (PS4)
All three PS5, PS4 games will be available for download from Tuesday, 1st November 2022. The lineup of PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games for next month will be announced in roughly two weeks' time.
All three titles joining the service next week are at least of a reasonable quality, with Nioh 2 being the obvious standout. We called it an "excellent, action-packed sequel" in our Nioh 2 PS4 review from March 2020. "Notwithstanding its poor skill trees, forgettable narrative, and minor balance issues, Team Ninja has put together gameplay excellence. An essential playthrough for anyone who considers themselves a fan of the original or From Software's output."
The indie selection for November 2022 is Heavenly Bodies — available both on PS5 and PS4 — which proved both interesting and frustrating when we delivered our verdict. We described it as a "goofy, intentionally awkward game" with a clever premise and tactile gameplay. It also used the DualSense controller really well, so make sure to play on PS5 if you can.
Then there's the LEGO Harry Potter Collection, which bundles together LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 in one complete PS4 remaster. "The LEGO Harry Potter Collection is just as good, if not better, than it was back on the PlayStation 3," we said in our 7/10 PS4 review. "Having both games bundled in a collection makes it feel like you're playing one lengthy game rather than two relatively short ones. There are still a few niggling mechanical issues present and the boss battles are disappointing, however fans of both Harry Potter and the LEGO games will find something to enjoy here."
With the PS5, PS4 games for November 2022 now confirmed, don't forget to claim Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and SUPERHOT from this month's lineup. They all leave the service on 31st October 2022. What new title will you play first? Share your pick in the comments below.

So another month to skip Essential and probably go loose on Extra/Premium. Totally fine by me, I'm surely getting my money's worth.
PS Blog says "Extra and Premium Game Catalog lineup for October will be announced later this month."
I thought we already have October lineup lol.
@EpicMouse We do; it's already live. They forgot to update the copy and paste!
@LiamCroft How many times they did the same mistake lol
Great sub title.
Can they just bring some good games please. I know good is subjective but come on. A game thats mostly for those cringe hardcore japanese animemangahentai whatever fans, lego and a game a smartphone could handle.
@LiamCroft
"Wingardium Leakiosa"
Nice one. You made my day!
Disappointing month for me. A really old lego game and a game that was already on the old service before? And a weird indy game that probably sells for 4 bucks. Sony had one good month on this new set up so far. One.
That's another good month imo.
Can't wait for the poll to vote 'crap'.
I've been on a Harry Potter kick, so maybe I'll dive into Lego HP a little bit before Ragnarok.
@Korgon Haha happy to!
@LIMA
You clearly don’t know what Nioh is. Plus, I wish we got those games!
Thank you PlayStation. Ni-Oh 2 is a very nice addition.
Not a great month for me personally but I can't complain as I've been really happy with at least one of the monthly games every month so far this year.
I'll allow them a bad month
Nioh 2 Remastered confirmed!! Great!!!
Another game to rage on besides fifa, gotta love it
Will give Nioh 2 a go if it has the PS5 version. Still working my way through Elden Ring though so god knows when I’m going to get to it…
@thefourfoldroot1 Yeah, that comment made me re-read the game list thinking I’d somehow skipped over an Oneechanbara or Senran Kagura release. Oh well!
@thefourfoldroot1 Yeah as the base level of freebies, equivalent to games with gold, its a perfectly reasonable set of titles.
Theres always a mal content though 😁
Good selection. Currently playing Dragon Quest 11 (Cant believe I never played a DQ game) and then its off to Ragnarok
@LIMA nioh isn’t weeboo garbage but i mostly agree . i still haven’t renewed my plus because most popular mp games right now are free so no scam service for me
i’ll have to renew it when the new cod comes out tho smh
Nioh 2 is a truly fantastic game, possibly my favourite that I played on PS4. Definitely the one I spent the most time on. Glad it will get a wider audience like it deserves.
I am 30 hours into Nioh 2 which took me a month because I barely have time for gaming during the school year. I have played all the From Software games and agree that Nioh is soulslike, however it is very different. I am loving it, but I have needed fightincowboys YouTube walkthrough because the gameplay systems were difficult to get used to. Good luck!
@LIMA Did you even gave Nioh a chance at all? Are you just not a fan of the japanese setting? Guess Ghost of Tsushima probably won't be for you lol
@SoulsBourne128
Believe it or not but I gave GoT a chance because it‘s a big sony title. I was disappointed by the graphics and especially the technical side of it but other than that, it was a great game. Finished both, PS4 and PS5 version.
@LIMA great that you enjoyed it (i did too, though I'm still hoping the sequel expand more on the gameplay aspect) but you still really need to give Nioh a shot. Ignore some of the game's etilist fans though and there's a good reason why Sony loved the game so much that they went as far as to publish the games for the Playstation version (which probably explains why Nioh coming to Xbox is highly unlikely, as said by the devs). The only thing that might put you off are certainly the difficulty spikes (and the loot system if you' weren't a fan of that in games like Borderlands or Destiny).
Not good for me.
Also we've had the Lego Harry potter on plus before, for the Vita. Nowhere near good enough to play again on a different platform
@SoulsBourne128
I‘m not a fan of souls/rogue-like games because of the difficulty. When I was younger I really liked the idea of challenging games and had a lot of fun with them, but nowadays I‘m more frustrated by them. Learned it the hard way with returnal, I didn‘t even finish the first level. So Nioh sounds like another frustrating game and I absolutely hate loot systems. Thanks anyways, I think the next japanese game I will play will be Rise of the Ronin. That looks like GoT on steroids lol
Solid month for sure, but sadly I already own both LEGO Harry Potter and Nioh 2.
Looking forward to some nioh 2
Lego HP is on Switch but Nioh 2 (whose predecessor proved pretty damn fun back when I got to properly play it during a blue moon home week with my PS4) and Heavenly Bodies sound like a possible catalyst to attempt a PS+ splurge again (the September one fell through after the sub card's actual price dragged in yet another third party payment system fee, noticeably exceeding what I had saved up and what I could add on a short notice). Granted, it'll also be the time of black fridays and cyber mondays on Switch, so the battle for the wallet remains. Although like I said before, the alleged save cloud maintenance deadlines would compel me to resubscribe around winter holidays at latest, even despite similarly abundant eShop sales traditionally happening at the time.😏
Nothing stands out to me, I'll try the puzzle game. But there's so much on Extra to still try one can't complain.
Aren't the Lego Harry Potter games already available on ps+ or am I missing something?
@LIMA you know rise of the ronin is team ninja too right?
Will probably give Nioh 2 a try, die, then be done.
I out over 300 hours into Elden Ring, it was great, but it was all open world exploring for me, call in the cavalry for any fighting. 😂
Already own Lego Harry Potter and Nioh 2 sadly. Not a bad month though for people who are interested. Looking forward to seeing what Extra brings
Please be grateful people.
it's been a long time since i considered downloading all 3 (or previously 2) of the monthly free ps plus games, but i'm actually excited to do it this November, even the indie game sounds very cool.
