Don’t forget Goodbye Volcano High!
I swear, it's ALWAYS Capcom who manages to carry these shows. Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter 6, they are simply incapable of missing as of late. AND LET'S NOT FORGET ABOUT GHOST TRICK PHANTOM DETECTIVE COMING IN SUMMER 2023-
....can you tell I'm a bit biased? XD
@Fizza watch Microsoft try to buy them out next. Only to flush them down the toilet.
Well, Baldur's Gate 3 made this State of Play OK for me. Glad it comes to PS5 at the same time it releases on PC. Larian did great job with the last two Divinity titles. And this one gonna be goddam good.
@jFug Who?
Most disappointed that Suicide Squad looks like Avengers 2.0. Live service, co-op hero shooter, with a battle pass, loot system, weapon and character levels, sound familiar? Sound's awful.
A shame as the premise 'Kill the Justice League' is great, and Rocksteady is a talented studio. Just not interested in a grindy live service game loot game like this.
@DarkestHour where?
@jFug why?
@themightyant the heads or key people at rocksteady don't work there anymore. so the spirit of what made the batman games great are gone. never was hyped for dead on arrival squad.
all they had to do was make a single-player game that can be played online co-op with 4 players or local too, smh .
Huh kind of disappointing if you are not interested in vr.
@jFug I personally thought it started off pretty well with the cool music but then they started speaking. I can only assume the writer has been saving his pocket money to make this game happen. ‘It’s weird that everybody is acting like nothing is different but everything is different’ Ha
Was mildly interested is Suicide Squad but this killed it. Visually it was noisy and tacky looking, gameplay looks designed for quality over quality
@sonicmeerkat Bit lukewarm if you are interested in VR tbh. Almost all first person, over serious shooty bang bang. I'm very negative today haha

Not sure I even agree with that. I don't think I have EVER played a game that was designed with 4 players in mind that also played well single player. You always end up with awful bullet sponge enemies and AI that is either designed for 1 or 4 people, never both.
@Sequel yeah it stunk but I was unsure if I was the audience.
@themightyant its been a while but from what i remember , the first ultimate alliance game was good. 4 player co-op does sound risky though
also , " I don't think I have EVER played a game that was designed with 4 players in mind that also played well single player."
Gears of War 3 , enough said. lol.
@sonicmeerkat Yeah likewise. I like batman if done well, but have never watched a marvel movie in my life and have no real interest in that kind of superhero content. Was hoping rocksteadys magic would make it palatable, I didn't mind insomniacs spiderman too much.
@nomither6 That was one of MY examples of how it doesn't work well. With 4 people you can desroy the AI in Gears 4, which is clearly designed for 1 or 2. Still a great game.
Or the opposite is Borderlands which is horrible bullet sponge enemies in Single player expecting more players supporting each other and attacking from different directions.
@themightyant ok, what about the halo games ?
@AgentGuapo I'm pretty sure that's not happening
All in all, great show, but boy oh boy do I feel bad for the Rocksteady team.
Not really blown away by anything shown. I had been looking forward to Suicide Squad but knowing it’s a 4-player co-op live service game is really taking the shine out of it. Even if Rockstar games is making it. And nothing else really grabbed me - not even RE4 for some reason even though I dig the RE series.🤷🏽🤷🏽
Resi 4 Remake and SFVI looked amazing as always. Good lord Cammy is hotter than ever. I also like the new hybrid grappler character. She looks fun to play.
Otherwise, a meh event.
@nomither6
I’d say Halo got it right for the most part. At least the two-player Halos.
I never played Halo 5 on Coop. So I’m unsure how that worked out with four people.
I thought it was okay personally. I'm looking forward to all of these upcoming games!
2023
Tchia - March 21
Resident Evil 4 Remake - March 24
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - May 26
Goodbye Volcano High - June 15
TBA 2023
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections
A very boring state of play. I watched it all in 2 mins by skipping most of it this morning. Nothing interesting.
@nomither6 I think Halo 1-3 were all 2 players max. I didn’t try the others coop.
I guess my point isn’t that there isn’t ANY game where it works, someone somewhere probably went the extra mile to make it work at all levels of players.
But games are designed, levels are laid out, enemy AI is set and their moveset is built around one or the other. These things shouldn’t be the same for single player and multiplayer.
I’ve yet to play a campaign that feels as balanced and built for single player as multiplayer. They are different and all the above needs to change to accommodate more players, or be shrunk to have just one.
The only interesting thing was the isac asimov game then i watched the clip.. he must be rolling in his grave so many adaptations that have nothing to do with the books except the names of the characters.
@Fizza Capcom consistently release amazing games of the highest quality. I’m with you!
Gaming feels so stale, these days. 🤷🏿♂️ 😕
I’m surprised Humanity’s not getting more mentions tbh. Looked pretty dope to me. They rocked it with Tetris Effect so I’m definitely down with a surreal take on Lemmings.
I hate co-op games.. I game so I can get AWAY from people.. have never looked forward to any multiplayer game.. Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine game can’t come fast enough
Well nothing at all in those links looks interesting.
@sword_9mm I guess the "greatness awaits" must mean we are all waiting around for something great to be announced.
NO.....!!! 🥺
(Looking at Thcia trailer)
Why does that game rated Teen with blood and gore ?! (wth?!)
Oh, well.
I have to ban that game. 😒
I was foolish enough to get deceived by beautiful looking games but with very unexpected inappropriate contents.
