Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for August 2022?

Mostly good if you like Yakuza games, if not then it’s not great. I am looking forward to Ghost Recon Wildlands though, exactly the kind of game I’d play and enjoy but never actually buy, so a good fit for this kind of service.

Mostly happy. Ive played most of the list but happy Yakuzas getting the love it deserves.

Weirdly I have to say im looking forward to playing Wheel of Fortune XD

I already had Dead by Daylight and Bugsnax from PS Plus previously. Those are great, so I'm glad or else they'd be my most excited for.

Not a fan of the yakuza games but the rest of the line up is really good..metro exodus is the main one for me but i'll give wildlands a try too..i really am quite surprised at how good extra is turning out and i think i'll continue my sub..

Not really, it's like that southpark episode when they realise the simpsons have already done everything... just replace simpsons with gamepass. Good for the ones that only play ps I guess

I'm not really looking forward to playing these (along with 20+% of readers), but it's fine, there's tonnes in the library it released with which I'm yet to play, some of which expire soon, and this month's Essential was pretty good too, so when you consider what I have access to this month, rather than what's added, it's pretty good)

Sony needs to invest in day one indies like, for example, Cult of the Lamb. Which is a better game than 80% of the list they are offering.

I certainly can't complain even if already own all Yakuza. Crash 4 and Tony Hawk I didn't have and on premium there's Exodus, Bugsnax and Wildlands plus Stray and Ape Escape and many others. Won't see me complain about any of these

No premium content Sony? WTF! Where’s the first party PS3 games we had on PS Now like all the Ratchet and Sly games and Heavenly Sword? Inexcusable!!!

Chances are I just go back to just PS Plus only when my sub runs out. But I have 7 more months for them to change my mind.

I didn't own trials of mana and metro exodus which interest me, so yeah pretty satisfied.

Need more classics. What's there is cool but we need another 20+ ps1 and ps2 games asap

Don't make me choose between the Yakuzas, I'm looking forward to all 3. I've already played 0 but my steelbook editions of Kiwami/Kiwami 2 are still sealed.

Not particularly interested in any of these but that doesn't mean it's not a fair selection. Just not my month is all. Still plenty else for me to play on Extra/Premium.

Im glad many are excited for trials of mana , great game that should be played multiple times to experience everything

trails of mana is the only game that is interesting. yakuza is not for me.

Not interested in the Yakuza games but I think they were part of ps now anyway before the ps plus merge & metro exodus has been on sale for cheap alot the only thing Idve been interested in would've been some good classics that aren't already playable on PS4/ps5 👎🏻

Considering I have gamepass, I'm disappointed. A lot of games on there, already, other than trials of mana. Don't get me wrong, if you're new to the ps ecosystem, then ps+ extra is a great deal. But since I've been here a while, have most of the exclusives and gamepass, I don't think I'll be renewing my sub.

Trials of Mana is supposed to be a fairly short jrpg, so that sounds perfect to me.

Metro Exodus, Yakuza 0 and 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, I was planing to play all of those someday. Trials of Mana caught my atention too!!

Good selection for people who havent played these games like i have. I got nothing out the premium tier where i was looking for more

This poll should be for Extra only. Anyone who is happy with the Premium games for this month is a raging PS fan who would buy a bag of fresh air from Sony for their monthly salary. Extra is good and Premium is non-existent.

I'll be playing Bugsnax so it works for me.

And having completed them all Yakuza is a damn good time - as far as solid additions to the Extra service go, they nailed it.

I'll mirror other comments saying you guys might want to do a different set of polls for Premium, though.

For me personally, based on what I already own this isn't that good a month for Extra (many of these games are objectively good though). However, Essential's games are so good this month that doesn't even matter. I love Yakuza Like A Dragon.

@AFCC I remember when Sony did offer day 1 indies at the start of the PS4 era and in general the PS Community just slammed them, its no wonder the indies fared better on steam and the switch.

It’s a good month. Unfortunately I’ve finished all of the Yakuza games but encourage everyone else to play them. Trials of Mana I might play, but have the two Ys games, Caligula effect, and the Neptune’s game (7?) to finish first…

Not a terrible selection, but nothing for me. Some already been on lower tier of PS+ so a kick for long term subscribers and nothing for the premium tier? Overall needs to do better.

@Enigk isn't premium less than £20 a year on top of the extra tier, that's not really a huge amount to be paying a year. I'd definitely agree with you if premium was still bare bones 12 months later but its only 2 months old. I'm starting premium this month and I'm not a raging ps fanboy. Although premium doesn't look great right now, premium covers everything PS has to offer sub wise for fomo which only costs a little extra per year the same price as one large pizza with garlic bread or chicken wings

As a premium subscriber what am I getting this month that the extra tier aren't getting for less money despite the feeble classics catalogue available thus far and a few game trials?

@Beerheadgamer82 It is definitely value for money in terms of the incremental price increase. Just saying that they perhaps need to differentiate the tiers in this poll as the Premium update is non existant this month so no one in their right mind would vote that they are "Very Happy."

Extra is pretty good even if I already have several of the titles listed.

When will they be releasing the Premium list additions? /s

I played some of the Yakuza games when they were on GamePass but couldn’t get into them. Some of the others I already have (Metro Exodus, GR Wildlands), and the remaining few don’t really interest me. I just wish they’d give these monthly drops a bit more variety - this month it’s all about Yakuza, last month it was Assassins creed 🙄

Trials of Mana is a good get. Will probably check that one out.

Most of the games this month I have either played, already have as part of PS +, or just have no interest in. But can't deny in the overall perceived quality of the games on offer.

If I had upgraded to Extra, I'd be pretty happy. If I had paid the extra for Premium, I'd be pretty mad that the last two months have been basically nothing. Two PSP games last month, and none this month at all.

I get that Premium is if you want to play the back catalog games pre-PS4, but there's so much missing from that, it's pretty disappointing to see them just basically leave it as is instead of working towards adding more to it like they should be. If they are going to do that, they might as well just lump Extra and Premium together and call it a day. It would be a much better look for them honestly.

I'm holding off upgrading just on ps+ essential , so far it doesn't look like its worth it plus I only game at weekends due to rising utility costs
