It's another significant update for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers this month, as Sony has confirmed that a whopping 27 additional games will be made available next week. As you'd expect of such a sizeable selection, there's a lot of variety on offer, from big budget open worlders like Far Cry 6 to brand new indies like Rogue Legacy 2. Layer highly rated titles like Inscryption and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge on top and you've got yourself a solid update — at least in our humble opinion.
Meanwhile, Premium's plodding along, and although we doubt that too many people are losing their minds over Worms and Killzone: Liberation, it could be argued that PS Plus' most expensive tier is doing its job in providing little nuggets of nostalgia. Or maybe not. As always, that's for you to decide!
So vote in our polls, and then have a proper good rant in the comments section below.

Sure, I'll play a bunch of them, starting with The Talos Principle.
And I've already completed Inscryption myself (twice...), but it's an awesome addition to the catalogue.
this is one of the best line-ups in the history of the service!!
Really good month. I'll have me some far cry 6 and a bit of shredders revenge for some old school, old timers coin op fun 👍
Nothing for me this month but it’s not like I’m lacking for content trust me lol. I’m sure there’s plenty of stuff here for people
Rogue Legacy 2 at launch + Shredder’s revenge + Inscryption = super happy. Also interested in far cry 6 😁
Nothing super exciting for me this month. That being said, I still have titles from previous months to go through.
There is plenty of good content on PS Plus for me. I am enjoying the service overall.
I've had my eye on Carto for a while. It looks like a nice, comfy game. Other games that stand out to me, I've already played. The Peppa Pig game could be good when my nephew and nieces come around. Usually they play the Sackboy game so it'll be nice to eventually see something different (though he, only 6, does like SF6 and Elden Ring, a good sign for his future tastes as a gamer 😆)
Adam Jensen and female Dani. Two cool protags.
Good month for me, Inscryption, Rouge Legacy 2, Dodgeball Academia & Killzone are amongst the highlight for me!
Inscryption for me.
Heard nothing but good things.
Really great month
Far cry is the very definition of a game I wouldn't pay for but happily play when it's free
A Hat in Time is great, although I've already played it, so Rogue Legacy 2 for me will be my first
This is the first month where I'm only interested in some indies.Forager has been on my wishlist in almost forever along with Dodgeball Academia,A Hat In Time and Wild At Heart.
Please play Deus Ex if you haven't already. If you like games like Dishonored and Bioshock, you will not regret it. Sorry, it's my favorite franchise and I want to spread the love!
Idk how anyone can say this isn't a great month. Even if there somehow isn't anything for you, it is still objectively one of the best updates to the service.
Most of it has been on gamepass so I've played a lot already, but rouge galaxy 2 and far cry 6, that's a win for me
Imo, theres not been a bad month. With so many titles to play it hardly matters for me at the moment!
Good month. Just have played most of them on GamePass and own most of the few others I’d be interested in (like Inscryption). Will give Elex II a shot though.
While I'm excited for Killzone Liberation, Premium continues to have dreadful offerings and Sony should be ashamed. Even if no third party publisher agreed to put their games on the service, Sony would still have hundreds of their own games they could port to service if they were at all interested in fulfilling their promises to their subscriber base.
Extra is doing great though.
@AK4tywill ashamed when each title that is added costs you around 50p on top of extra. (Not to mention the other 400games it has that extra doesn’t)
What exactly is acceptable for something that’s £15-20 more a year?
Where are the Classic PS1 and PS2 games we was promised. The only good PS1 game so far is Resident Evil 1. Nothing good for PS2.
Finally got me sign up for Extra, so yeah. I'm finally stoked enough to give it a whirl.
Edit: Just saw the result. Oh, you poor people about to be disappointed by Farcry 6... just don't bother. Replay an old one you pikey already own. It'll be better. I promise.
Farcry 6. Bigger, same format, feels for the kid.
Out of Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony - Sony is the worst by a huge margin. There is no reason at all to pay them money for their terrible service. The other two have issues - and might not be for everyone. But Sony's is abysmal and offers zero value.
I already have killing floor 2 so thats why I didnt vote it, but its probably the best game on this list to be perfectly honest
Why no love for Worms? Lol, I love that game!
I'm baffled that 7% find this to be a crap selection. Are they extremely picky or just miserable people? There is no pleasing some people I guess.
I signed up to the Premium tier in hopes of getting to replay some of my favorite PSP games with the bonus of trophy support on PS5. That has started happening recently with the Syphon Filters and now Killzone Liberation. Happy with that for sure and the Extra lineup has a couple games I didn't play that I may look into now.
I was forced to sign again in Premium Tier so I could get a discount and it really not worth it. On the other hand a whopping 27 additional games each month makes extra tier a real competitor to Game Pass even. without day one exclusives.
Not really. The games aren't bad per se but nothing I personally deem interesting or haven't already played.
@Cashews
Then why exactly? Come up with a good argument and go play Redfall.
Considering they say they don't want to do Day 1 games, they arnt doing that bad - Stray, Rouge Legacy, Humanity etc
I find it staggering how people thought Sony was going to do anything with Premium other than drip feed you the odd game here and there. Ps1 ps2 ps3 games are a finite source, and they hope to run Premium for years - possibly decades. Of course they aren't about to suddenly spam anyone with classics.
I think it’s a good amount of game and quite a few different genres. Whilst I don’t have kids myself, my mate is pretty chuffed with the kids games in here.
I had Extra and Premium for a year and now have dropped them both. I will just stick with PS-Plus only. I did pre-order Diablo IV and I am happy playing it over anything in the 2 higher tiers.
Maybe two games I'm interested in trying (Far Cry 6 and Inscryption). The rest are pretty old titles that I already own (Thief and Deus Ex). There are definitely some decent games there, just that I imagine most people who wanted to play them probably already bought them (I think this is reflected in the poll).
I've been curious about a few of these, but not enough that I'm wanting to pay directly for them. Perfect situation! Wild at Heart is my #1, I'll also try Redout 2 to see if it's less annoying than the first one. Also curious about Inscryption.
I don't really like card based games but from what I've heard, Inscryption is a bit special so I'm looking forward to that, and FC6 because I love Chorizo and want to befriend him.
Loved ELEX 1 but never got around to 2 (Curse of it releasing around the time Elden Ring did). Will be happy to finally play it once I'm done with FF16. PlayStation+ really hitting it out of the park and filling in gaps gamepass left for me. Shame there's no PC support...
I'm an 80's kid so I'll happily try the Turtles game and hope it's like the arcade game. Maybe try Far Cry 6 but I've tried other FC games in the past and I'm not usually that keen.
I can't believe no-one is mentioning Lonely Mountains, it's a really fun game, if not mildly infuriating!
PS2 has an amazing catalog of masterpieces and Sony should start releasing those titles on Premium
@Cashews zero value? You can literally play nearly the entire catalogue of PS5 exclusives up till Feb 2022 and it'll cost you much less than one of those games alone.
@Ephexis83 they specified that no day-one Sony exclusives will be on the service.
Between Switch and Deck, a lot of these are a hard sell on a home/streaming console (barring the cases that may bonk you with a compatibility bat Deckside), but Far Cry 6 may come in handy since, despite making a spare US Ubi account for the respective PSN one, I have yet to investigate if it's any viable for purchasing PC versions as well (the website accepted my bank card as a saved payment method but may yet rebel at potential billing address/location discrepancies), and first party exclusives like Killzone Liberation go without saying.😆
I already own most of them, so this will be a skip month for me.
