Originally an Xbox (and PC) exclusive, wacky action title Hi-Fi Rush is now available on PS5. This tune-infused brawler was one of the highest rated releases of 2023 — and so we're eager to learn if you're jumping in for the first time.
We gave the game an 'excellent' 9/10 in our Hi-Fi Rush PS5 review, adding our own hearty recommendation to a title that's already been met with so much praise on other platforms. "Hi-Fi Rush is a gorgeous rhythm-action game with a strong cast of characters, addictive gameplay, and an incredible musical score," we wrote. "This is an essential title for PS5 owners, and we’re glad Xbox has allowed us to finally experience it."
But are you playing Hi-Fi Rush? Maybe you already played it elsewhere? Vote in our poll, and then explain yourself in the comments section below.

No plan on playing it, not good at rhythm games. Also busy spreading democracy!
Already beat the game on Xbox. Wonderful game though
Nah I gotta finish FF VII Rebirth and then move onto Dragons Dogma 2.
Five playthroughs for the five difficulty settings, no chance.
Too busy with Rebirth and got Unicorn Overlord and Stellar Blade to play afterwards...
Played it on Xbox and while its fine its very overrated.
Really want to play it. But with annoying trophies like that, I unfortunately need to skip this game 😞
I had it pre ordered, but I probably won't get around to it until after Rise of the Ronin, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Stellar Blade.
It's still there only Xbox game I'm really interested in at the moment though, so I'm glad they brought it to playstation.
Bought it but not playing until I'm done with Rebirth
I've bought it but won't be playing it yet. Rebirth, Helldivers and Fortnite stuff to do.
But I got it anyway because I believe in voting with your wallet. And with it been one of the few Xbox games I was envious of as well as wanting MS to go completely multiplatform...this was a no brainer.
@Americansamurai1 It will make you feel like you’re good at rhythm games. I could not get past the second level of Metal Hellsinger but I beat this.
I played it a bit on the PC but didn't stick with it. I will probably go back to it at some point though.
This game looks interesting but, the only game I hope releases on PS from an Xbox studio is Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2.
Not yet, but soon enough
I actually am replaying it on Xbox lol
Hint: Just realized the second run is somewhat different from the first plus it has some new content (without spoiling anything), this game is truly amazing!
I bought it but not sure when I will start it.
Played and beat it on gamepass when it came out but the game is so good that I still preordered it and started playing it yesterday. I’m finishing rebirth on chapter 13 thank god than I’m focusing on it.
@RBRTMNZ yeah I agree I hated metal hellsinger so much
As soon as I hear the words ‘rhythm game’ I’m out 😁
Only played the first level--twice (long story), but loving it so far! Will be a challenging platinum but I think I'm very, very barely getting the hang of the timing on attacks. My 2nd run through the first level I did a lot better on the scores.
@Enuo Sunset Overdrive!
How much rhythm gameplay is there? There was a game that came out about 5 year ago and looked like classic Zelda. I tried it many many times but I couldn't get rhythm with 2D dungeon crawler. Can anyone remind me the name of this industry changing game?
@hookedWORM17 That was the last Xbox game I was interested in. (And that was ten years ago)
Definitely playing it. I want more Xbox games to come over.
@hookedWORM17 Crypt of the Necrodancer maybe?
@dark_knightmare2 I liked it and think it's a good game. I'm just unfortunately really bad at it.
I will be buying the physical version.
@hookedWORM17 The rhythm aspect is constant but unlike most rhytm games it does not punish missing the beat. Instead it rewards staying on the beat. It also has a ton of really good visual feedback that helps a lot. I have no rhythm and still beat it without any trouble.
@Ken_Kaniff YES! Thank you so much! I craved that game after reading journalist writeups after an event. I could never get it down though.
It’ll be on psn soon
Fully intend to play this, but I'm right in the midst of playing Infinite Wealth right now so I'll get to it a little later.
@RBRTMNZ oh I couldn’t make it pass the first two levels so don’t feel bad. I’m glad I tried it on gamepass because if I spent money I would’ve been pissed
Played it on my Series X. Great game!
2023 GOTY IMO, but without a proper physical release, I ‘ll stick to my Xbox digital copy, thank you very much.
I cannot wait to play it in 2025 when it comes to Ps+ <3
@hookedWORM17 Np, this game is quite a bit different. Definitely challenging, but not to that level.
Tried it for 15 minutes on my Series X, but knew immediately I was never going to enjoy this.
This game deserves better sales.
@DylanP Why decide to play a game based on trophies? I really don't understand.
@hookedWORM17 Cadence of Hyrule.
This and Pentiment were the two games from big green’s strategic towel throwing that I was most looking forward to. I’m about an hour in and love the aesthetics but I’m still struggling with the gap between input and action. It feels like I push a button on a downbeat and the attack happens a half beat later. It’s not so bad with heavy attacks, but with light attacks it’s kind of jarring. I probably just need way more practice. Oh, and jumping on platforms in rhythm can go to hell.
Play on deck oled for a little while. Nice art style but i dunno. Look like an overrated game to me.
@RBRTMNZ I found myself terrible at first and it turned out my sound bar had a slight delay, throwing me off.
Once I turned off the sound bar and used the TV speakers, I found it much easier to hit the beat.
No. Already played it for some hours on XBox and I will wait for the physical XBox version.
@Amnesiac the animations don't keep in time to the beat. I find myself treating it more like putting in a code to the beat, and then watching the resulting attack animations play out.
@Strafio unfortunately I think I’m to blame for my problems. My wife was able to run up long combos without any issues. I have very little rhythm.
It's the only Xbox game that I wanted so yes, I will be playing this on PS5.
I have it on Xbox as well but can't stand the controller.
@__jamiie ikr, it’s a shame. Maybe in an other lifetime I get to play this game. Hopefully in a future generation they remake it with more reasonable trophies 😞🙏🏻
Not yet I plan on getting this month at some point.
Possibly in a few weeks
