In case you didn't know, the anticipated Astro Bot PS5 DualSense controller went up for pre-order today, resulting in a surprising amount of hubbub. Indeed, the special edition pad ended up selling out across a number of websites, and even Sony's own PlayStation Direct store had to bring back its dreaded queueing system in a bid to quell the chaos.
The device is in pretty high demand, then. In fact, it's been a while since we've seen a PlayStation product become so sought after within such a short space of time, which just goes to show how likeable the little platforming mascot is.
In order to gauge initial interest in the Astro Bot DualSense, we actually hosted a public poll back on the day that it was announced, asking if it was the best PS5 pad so far. Over 2,800 votes were cast, with a whopping 52% of readers saying yes. A further 36% said it was right up there amongst the most attractive designs yet.
