Well, going by our previous poll, most people enjoyed The Game Awards 2023 — and that's always a plus when we're asking for your opinions on the event's best PS5 showing!
As it turns out, Geoff wasn't lying; this year's show was packed with announcements and reveals. In fact, there was so much stuff that we were still awake hours after the show ended, making sure to cover all of the bits and pieces here on Push Square. But enough about our dreadfully difficult lives — it's time to vote on your favourite announcement or reveal of The Game Awards 2023.
We've narrowed it down to 30 contenders (which is still loads), and you can use our poll to vote for up to three games of your choice. The poll will remain open until this time on Monday the 11th December. When it's done, we'll count up the votes and announce the winners in a separate article.
So get voting and then tell us about your pick in the comments section below!

Rise of the Ronin release date being so soon for sure!
Definitely the Final Fantasy XVI DLC for me!
God of war Ragnarok dlc.
Hey!!! It looks like many feel the same way I do.
I liked seeing GoW, Dragon Ball and the new Sega projects.
Metaphor was my favorite!
MHwilds > Ronin > Blade > ff16 dlc > warhammer > black myth.
Final Fantasy 16 DLC and 7 Rebirth trailers for me. Metaphor ReFantazio looks great as well, it’s just annoying that they pretend the game isn’t coming to PS in the west.
SEGA, Black Myth, and No Rest for the Wicked (because I love Moon Studio).
The Last Sentinel looks interesting
Definitely a tie between Rise of the Ronin releasing so damn soon and MH Wilds being announced. Can't wait for them to start showing off the monsters
The ff16 dlc actually impressed me more than I thought it would too
I must be getting cynical in my old age, because the only thing that really got my heart pumping was Dragon Ball Z Sparking Zero!
Hell yeah Budokai Tenkaichi is back, hopefully they will manage to keep the mtx to a minimum...
Black Myth, No Rest for the Wicked, Light No Fire.
SEGA could launch a console right now lol between Persona games, Yakuza games, Sonic, these revivals …it’s insane
The SEGA announcement trailer for sure.
Monster Hunter Wilds easy
Sega's announcement was easily my favourite, with 5 games I'm excited to play and that new Crazy Taxi looks very promising. Also that Jurassic Park game has great potential if done correctly
For me it wasn't a game but a detail, Rise of the Ronin looks way more ACTION than expected, big Ninja Gaiden vibes,, I'm really happy ... and Sony is paying for it so even better.
Rise of the Ronin, my most anticipated game of next year, is only a few months away. Black Myth: Wukong, which I had dismissed as another Souls like, looks absolutely stunning. I guess I am going to try to get good. Oh, and the SEGA games, even if they are pretty far away, it was still exciting to see that SEGA hadn’t forgotten about them.
@colonelkilgore That was one of my picks as well, it looks so good.
My other two picks were Light no fire (VR essential though) and Exodus (can never have too many sci fi rpgs especially as Bioware is a shadow of their former self).
Metaphor is my no.1 without a doubt. Really dug that trailer.
The final fantasy vii stuff was cool, Black Myth looks like a good time, and even though I've never played Guilty Gear I've always enjoyed their reveal trailers. Just something about them that's entertaining!
I think the Blade trailer was the biggest surprise, but its not listed because no one knows if it's exclusive to Xbox or not.
Shadow dropping the first FFXVI expansion was pretty cool. I wish I could play it today.
Monster Hunter is always a win.
Light no Fire was the most interesting for me and I'll certainly keep an eye on Exodus.
The former could be something great to get lost in as long as there are interesting things to discover. Also looks pretty crazy (as well as current NMS) for such a small studio.
The later could help fill the void left by Mass Effect and hopefully lead to becoming a new studio whose output we can look forward to.
God of war ragnarok Valhalla.black myth wukong.and rise of the ronin.word up son
The Sega reel, Persona 3 Remake and the new DBZ game for me.
Also a lot of indie games look really good.
It was a tough choice, but I voted for Visions of Mana, Monster Hunter Wilds and Light No Fire, the latter i think was the game of the show for me.
There was so many other great games shown such as Black Myth Wukong, Metaphor Re Fantazio, Rise of the Ronin, GoW DLC, FF16 DLC and the Sega projects. I think Geoff can be proud of this year's show which has been his best one yet. So many great games for next year, I didn't think anything could trump this year so soon but 2024 might be that year.
Sega’s reveal was the stuff of dreams 🙏🏻 Hang on, am I still dreaming 😱
I want to do up to 5 votes.
Final Fantasy 16, 7 Rebirth, God of War and Dragon Ball and Segas announcement.
OD was my definite favorite reveal with the Sega reveal second and probably Wukong in third.
I think it's fantastic how spread out the poll is looking. Something for everyone 🙂
@personauser93 ive said this before and got shot down. Its absolutely bizarre. I just dont understand Atlus. Microsoft having marketing rights is one thing but i've never known Sony to block developers from revealing all systems via socials etc when they have had similar.
I'm fascinated to see what the sales breakdown looks like for this
Probably blade but that od trailer was intriguing. Loved the old school sega revival and still play a few of those regularly
Hands down the Sega revival trailer. I would have considered Final Fantasy XVI's DLC otherwise, but the ending to the main game killed the excitement I otherwise would have had for it.
Ill say this, it sucks that we didnt get any new trailer for either Capcom's Pragmata game or Stellar Blade. I know Pragmata was delayed indefinitely but man it looks so promising with the tiny amount of gameplay shown. I REALLY hope it doesnt get cancelled like their Deep Down game for ps4 years back.
Surprised at how little love No Rest for the Wicked is getting. Ori was phenomenal, and the footage we’ve seen looks great despite being a huge departure. Metaphor was my favorite trailer but that was the biggest surprise.
Ghost of Nioh, I mean Ronin, looks awesome! Was sad we did not see any more of Pragmata, so hyped for that game
I'll give it to Sega, that sizzle reel got me hyped, they might all turn out to be mediocre games, but the promo hit the right note of nostalgia for me.
I really love God of War, but I wanted some more story in there because I'm not wanting a challenge mode right now, but still cool and it's free! And I wish the FF7 had something more to it, but it did have some good visuals.
Although I think it's kinda a silly name, I liked the trailer for The Casting of Frank Stone a lot.
Jurassic Park Sruvival please like Alien Isolation
Rise of the Ronin Is my favourite 🔥🤩🤩🤩🤩
SEGA
Sparking Zero
Black Myth Wukong
The First Berserker: Khazan
They put a smile on my face : )
@Deoxyr1bose I would be excited for a new game if it wasn't attached to Moon studios... Too much information come about them being a toxic and an ‘oppressive’ place to work.
Sega.
There is no second place
Unfortunately my reveal of the day goes to OD, the Xbox exclusive 😫 (Kojima will basically always win sorry)
Would’ve still taken more DS2 info in its place tbh buuuut I guess GoWR:V and FFVI add ons will have to suffice in the PS world… 😅
@CaptD yeah Exodus and Light No Fire both looked great tbh
@colonelkilgore yup Exodus. Looks fawkin incredible
Metaphor: ReFantazio, Monster Hunter Wilds, Rise of the Ronin, and those SEGA classic game revivals all looked incredibly dope.
Weirdly enough, though, I'm most excited for World of Goo 2. I've wanted a sequel for years now!
Sony really needs to get some tactical shooters on its platform.
