Sony returned to the digital stage with a surprise State of Play livestream focusing on third-party developers earlier this week, promising new game reveals and important updates. Bugsnax was the highlight for me.
little devil inside
Doll faces are back, meh..=Star Ocean.
The show was a bit underwhelming and no confirmation of the PS+ games. Strange.
Little Devil Inside.
Other than that there wasn't much for me. Lots of variety though, which is always great to see.
Death's door is amazing but won't b getting it yet as I've only just played it but deffo one to get down the line
Taking this opportunity to heavily recommend Death's Door. One of the best games i've played this year.
I will get round to playing all of them apart from King of fighters (hate fighters)
As a massive JRPG player that star ocean announcement took me by surprise and can't wait for that, hopefully its better and longer than the last one
Wow the amount of nothing in that presentation was impressive.
I forgot it was on - and I guess half the developers did also judging by that limited line up…
A couple of little things I’m looking forward to though.
Had to watch it later and fast forwarded almost every title…
Non event! Tut tut Sony and a dialled in performance
Star Ocean for sure on the list. I already have Death's Door on PC.
Little Devil Inside great as always. Wish they give us a date. But it is a PS5 of PC buy. It looks fantastic.
Deaths Door is really good! Surprised to see it on PlayStation; thought Microsoft put some bucks into it.
Show was decent overall nothing too crazy but I enjoyed what I seen.
Shocked about Kart Rider though. Played that as a kid on my potato PC back in the day. Can't believe it's still around. Nexon should also port Combat Arms while they're at it so the new generation can perform nut shots.
They showed three games that I’m interested in, these days I would consider that a solid showing . 👍🏻🕺🏻
I wasn't really expecting much, but DAMN that was super underwhelming. The only thing I was expecting was for them to say that the TMNT Arcade game that's releasing next year would release on PS4/PS5 and Xbox. Nope. It's all good. For the most part, I tempered my expectations and wasn't truly disappointed.
I know that not everyone agrees, but I really believe that Sony is holding things back due to the limited availability of the PS5. They're going to keep trickling out the more popular games over at least the next year so that each one sells as many copies as it possibly can.
Oh.. I completely forgot to watch it. And I rechecked what time it was going to start early on.
With all these games. PlayStation is the place to be.
If you are ten years old.
I'm looking forward to Star Ocean, Bugsnax DLC, and FNAF Security Breach.
Also slightly curious about Death's Door and Little Devil Inside now.
I completely forgot this was happening, but looking at the announcement lineup, it seems I didn't miss much.
Just seen what was announced now, and I would definitely recommend deaths door I really enjoyed it when I played it on Xbox, it's pretty hard in places but such a great game highly recommend it.
@Sakisa Second that. Brilliant game.
Hype for Star Ocean!
@Spanky Decent? About the only thing that could reach that criteria would be LDI and even then it’s trailer overstayed it’s welcome a tad. Everything else I could forget was even gonna be a thing.
Almost everything presented looked so poor it was kinda painful at times. And even the familiar stuff was for games I not particularly crazy for. Others were presented or poorly set up in a manner than didn’t give them a whole lot of leeway to stand out.
There's still no confirmarion on ps+ games?
Just want to tell everyone that Death's Door is one of THE BEST games of 2021. Don't sleep on it
There was more than I thought and some nice looking ones. Not really much that I want to play though.
Edit
Some of them my kid will enjoy though.
@Blackjay I was interested in 5/10 trailers that were shown. That's decent for me. I don't hype these shows to ungodly levels. Not everything is going to be someones cup of tea. You didn't like it so much, I respect that.
Glad I didn’t bother watching this live. Deaths Door is pretty great though, happy more will get to play it.
so much free 2 play and online mp rubbish, why is current gen gaming so poor? 🙄😤😤🙄
Mildly interested in Star Ocean (I remember the early games fondly), the rest is just meh, no thanks.
@huyi I look at the silver lining: More time to catch up on my back log from last generation.,
Death's Door is INCREDIBLE. Highly recommended!
And all of these games could have been revealed through email lol. Luckily i didn't watch it live and have to wait because i would have been mad.
Absolutely nothing
