The big new release this weekend is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but it feels like interest in the franchise is at an all-time low, doesn’t it? That doesn’t exactly mean the title will be flop – far from it – but we’re not exactly expecting to see it pop up too frequently in this week’s WAYP.
Aaron Bayne
I'll be continuing on with Control this weekend, with some hellish slaying on the side in Diablo IV.
Jade Sayers
This weekend I will be playing copious amounts of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. I’ve got way too distracted by side missions and clearing up each district so I’m determined to focus on the main missions. We’ll see how that goes though!
Jaimie Ditchfield
This weekend will see me returning to Japan in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. As someone who has explored Kiryu's adventures multiple times in the past, this one has me excited, and I can't wait to try the trial version of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth once I hit the credits.
Jamie O'Neill
Following buying Revita as an Essential Picks bargain blaster last weekend, I'll take a swing at another 2023 2D platformer (£8.39 deal), Bat Boy, which has souped up 8-bit graphics that have become popular in modern retro games.
Khayl Adam
Once again I'm on the review train, after wrapping that up I’m hoping to get a bit further into Alan Wake 2. I'm constantly finding myself lost and stuck on puzzles, and only playing for an hour or so a night hasn’t been ideal, but the story is really starting to pick up now!
Sammy Barker
I still technically don't have access to a television, so it'll be more mobile games for me this weekend. I'll probably continue trying to catch up in Genshin Impact.
Scott McCrae
I'm in the home stretch of review season now, where I'll finally be able to talk about what I'm playing again next week! Aside from that, just more The Binding of Isaac Repentance.
Robert Ramsey
I'll be giving the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising beta a shot while reviewing a couple of very anime games that I can't talk about just yet. Nothing like a big weeb weekend!
So, that's what we're playing this weekend, but what about the rest of you. As always, let us know in the comments section below.

Having a Switch weekend this weekend.
New Mario kart tracks to race online and some Mario Wonder.
Waiting to see if Avatar is going to be any good in December.
Will be mostly playing on Series X but also a bit on Switch this weekend. Got a month of Game Pass so I'm playing through Cocoon, Forza Motorsport, Dead Space (2023) and Like a Dragon Gaiden. This will keep me busy for the rest of the month, lol. Not to mention Persona 5 Tactica next week.
I'll also be playing the new Mario Kart DLC. Going to play as my boy Funky Kong who I used to main during the Mario Kart Wii days. So much nostalgia!
I recently finished red matter, so need a new game. As I’m letting Extra lapse in a week’s time I might try to get through a couple of small games on that. Anyone have any recommendations on games I can get through in a couple of days?
Edit: playing through Roki
A Hat In Time is mostly what I'll be playing this weekend as I'm a bit too busy to dedicate a lot of time to gaming this weekend.
Still only in Mafia town but the music is delightful and it has oodles of charm
Have a good weekend everyone!!!
Working my way through Alan Wake 2. No stone unturned for me! Such an amazing game.
Primarily sports titles. MLB 22 (don’t care for 23 as much), Madden 24 and NHL 24.
I have to drive to plymouth (in about half an hour) for my brother in laws 30th birthday, so my Alan Wake 2 progress is going to take a hit this weekend. Gonna take the switch and dip in and out of a few games on there in the hotel.
This weekend I will advance in Demon's Souls! So far, I have beaten Adjudicator, Fool's Idol, Armored Spider and Tower Knight!
I also got Black Mesa and started it because I love Half-Life and I have never played this fan creation. It is great thus far!
And for some chilling exploration I will play Metroid: Samus Returns!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Dusted off Deathloop this week after falling out with it quite quickly when it was released. Think I was originally trying to play it like Hitman, which is obviously the wrong way to go about it. Really enjoying breaking down the leads and finding all the decent weapons now. And the soundtrack... Think it's probably my all time favourite.
I'm playing Honkai Star Rail. I'm still unsure if I like it - the combat is excellent, but everything else is a bit bland.
Still in Act 2 of BG3 after 130hrs, still loving it.
Also playing Alan Wake Remastered so I can crack on with 2 around Christmas time.
So far AW is my least favourite Remedy game but still has some interesting stuff in it.
I’ll be cutting corners I’m not supposed to in WRC 23. Loving the hell out of this game. Happy gaming everyone!
Some more Spiderman 2, GT7 and EA WRC
Two more play throughs of Dead Space Remastered needed this weekend for platinum 170. Rest of the weekend will be Battlefield 2042 playing. Got the house improvements I needed doing all paid off and ready to be installed so next weekend I will hopefully playing Alan Wake 2 and Kiryu’s latest adventure.
Slowly getting into AC mirage. Its finally started to grab me
Finally bit the proverbial bullet abd bought a switch.
So its Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild weekend for me. Both absolutelly amazing!
When it comes to pushing square, me and me wife finally finished 2013 Tomb raider, so gonna start Rise
Propagation: Paradise Hotel (PSVR2)
I’m still near the beginning of Act 3 in BG3. Flew through 1 & 2 but short on time the last few weeks. I think I’m also a little overwhelmed with how much there is to do.
I'll be playing Baldur's Gate 3, 30hrs in and going strong. I'll also be playing some Reverse 1999 through it's pc client.
@rusty82 playing Assassin’s Creed too. It was very slow to start but I’m getting into it now. Hopefully complete the story today.
Then praying, though very unlikely the new Humans Fall Flat level makes it to the PS5 and can have some fun with friends.
And finally figuring out how to remove all remnants of ***** Modern Warfare 3 that seems to have installed itself and used most of any remaining disc space I once had.
I finished and platinumed Alan Wake yesterday so I move on to 'idunno'. Spider man is sitting on my ssd locked n loaded but maybe I try Jusant or The Invincible. After Wake feel like I'm in no shape to start a new big title...
I went back to Resident Evil 4 during the week and unlocked the handcannon.
Now I can't stop playing. That gun when fully upgraded, it makes a mess of everyone.
I might go for the gas mask next. It looks handy enough to get.
I'll have to get back to Zelda before long though. I still haven't finished tears of the kingdom.
And then I'll want to get the plat in Hogwarts Legacy at some point too.
Gonna be playing Aliens:Fireteam Elite. Not really into online style shooters anymore (old and family man) but that game nailed the sound so it’s a bit of mindless fun.
Yakuza Like A Dragon for me and I've finally got the hang of the Ichiban Confectionery side activity so I'm well in there!Fantastic game:)
Pikmin 4 and Lego Skywalker Saga will get a look in too.
Enjoy the weekend all!
Spider-Man 2 platinum in the bag this morning so already a productive weekend and missing that game already. Back into Baldur's GOTY III in a big way, with some Football Manager 24 on the side when the TV is in use by someone else... roll on 15/11 and my Portal!
I plattied Alan wake 2 yesterday so it’s back to spidermen 2 I guess, but I’m not really feeling it so maybe something else will be found.
I am going through different games on my new tv to see how much of a difference they look and play with the vrr, allm and that 40fps option that i can use now and its a real game changer for me. Played hogwarts last night and it really popped out of the screen. Have a great weekend everybody👍
Having finished Resident Evil 4 last week, I finally picked up the Separate Ways DLC and blasted through the first two chapters yesterday. So that’s definitely on the agenda this weekend. I also finished the rather wonderful career mode in PowerWash Simulator this past week. I only need three more trophies to pop the Platinum, so I’ll see if I can do that too.
Whatever you’re playing, have a great weekend everyone!
Will be playing Like A Dragon Gaiden this weekend as Joryu, and if I find the time getting to try out that MK8D Wave 6 Booster Pack
I have no plans and the wife is away so for the first time in a long time a completely free weekend to devote to games. I am on act 3 in BG3 with about a billion side quests to look into and I will also be playing Alan Wake 2 but only during daylight hours and when I’m feeling brave.
@Shepherd_Tallon I've been waiting with RE4 because I wanted to experience it in VR first but it is so hard, I want to play it really badly. Capcom, do not let us wait too much longer.
I’m on the last chapter of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, so hopefully I’ll be finishing that. Once that’s done I’ll be concentrating on Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
Trying to finish SM2 which i own from the release (i am so casual) other than that i would play CoD MW2 but after MWIII release it is troublesome to even launch that.
Continue with My Time at Sandrock. Which despite being a little big buggy at times is amazingly addictive. I’ve put 40 hours into it and have Barely scratched the surface.
I'm part of the problem and will be playing some Modern Warfare 3. Despite all the negative reviews, I still like playing COD multiplayer every now and then and figured that as bad as the campaign is (and it really is, first time i've just stopped playing a COD campaign ever), I'd still enjoy some mindless multiplayer. But even that is just a minor extension of last year's entry with some recycled maps and bland graphics. So anyone that is on the fence, take it from me as someone that's played every one, it's really just not worth it at all!!
I'll be jumping between Alan Wake 2 and Wolfenstein 2 most of today and a bit of MW3 later with my brother. I also started One Piece Odyssey so probably play some more of that. On Xbox I'll play FM 24 on my phone it works great through cloud streaming.
On PS5 i will be playing Fate Samurai/Remnant which has been amazing so far, and I will be starting Jusant today as well.
On the Switch I have recently completed Super Mario Wonder so now I can focus on getting Detective Pikachu Returns done. I may also start Astral Chain again as I never got round to finishing it.
Finished the Oxenefordscire quest line in AC Valhalla.
Taking a short break and have fired up Aliens: Fireteam Elite as the PS Plus free game and am playing solo with the bot companions. Lots of dumb fun.
I'm in the mood for something a bit retro, so have been playing Ys Origin. For some reason, I've never got round to playing through Toal's campaign, so going to do that after I've refreshed my mind on Yunica and Hugo's stories.
I'm also still trying to finish my last unsolved puzzle in The Talos Principle Road to Gehenna ('Small Space Big Solution' ). It's an absolute bugger and I am completely stuck, which is frustrating as I've solved absolutely everything else in TP1 including all the star puzzles. Determined not to look up the answer, however!
Just slowly playing through Alan Wake 2, which is totally worth it to savor.
@dschons I'm just doing my second run this week because after my first run at launch I said I'd wait for the VR mode to do it again.
I was in the mood for something with zombies after Halloween though, and just found myself playing it again the other day.
I can't wait for that VR mode though. There are two sequences in particular I'm very excited for, but also dreading at the same time 🫠
About 70 hours into FF16.
Really enjoying it.
Doing all side missions and hunts too.
V is back in Dogtown for a second jaunt. Gonna side with So Mi this time. Love it.
Ps5 Alan Wake 2 and Robocop
Series X Like A Dragon Gaiden
Laptop Control
@Shepherd_Tallon it's wild how immersive VR can be with horror games in particular. Unfortunately, I'm not scared at all when playing flat. I do notice eerie atmosphere and enjoy it but I'm never scared. In VR though... Good lord, when playing Paradise Hotel yesterday, I literally stood in a hallway for a minute and didn't dare to go round the corner.
@somnambulance Im doing the same taking my time and enjoying the easter eggs of other Remedy games
Ghost of Tsushima on PS5. Already got the platinum on PS4 during its launch. Almost near the end of its platinum on PS5. Such a beautiful game
Not having the best week so, much gaming is reserved for the weekend. I will play more of the fantastic Final Fantasy XVI, my sunday morning game Alan Wake Remastered, Disco Elysium and Yakuza Kiwami 2. That's it.
@dschons I scare very easy when I'm playing through a horror game for the first time. After the first run I'm usually okay though.
In VR though it's next level fear. I couldn't finish Resi VII in VR. I haven't even tried VIII because I know I'll get as far as the doll house and just quit. (Watching Rob from PlayStation Access play through that part in PSVR2 and his reaction when the inevitable happens still makes me chuckle.)
Finished Darkwood last week, excellent top-down survival horror, perfect for Halloween. I think I’ll play it again next year since there are multiple paths. Back on BG3, some 200 hours in. Also desperately trying to avoid starting Talos Principal 2 until I’ve finished BG3. Have an awesome weekend folks!
I’m heading into Persona 5 Royal this weekend as I’ve been craving some good old persona action. Before diving into kiryu’s new adventure.
Diablo 4 for me, level 26 barbarian on the go so early days but enjoying it enough.
Also started a new Mario Odyssey play through on Switch, so, so good. Can’t wait for the next Nintendo console.
Been thinking about a Steamdeck this week too (Half Life is also calling me!). The new ones sound cool.
Dead Space remake - made some progress since last week, Im about half way now. Really like this remake, keeps a lot of the good stuff from the original but adds enought new things to keep it fresh. Impressed by myself that I havent died yet. From a heartattack in real life, that is. Ive managed to die a couple of times in the game despite playing on easy. Not impressive that:)
Jusant - small bits here and there, but mostly on the backburner.
Trine 5 - picked this up since I´ve liked the previous games and this is more of that in a good way. I like the puzzles and finding all the hidden treasures is really fun.
PSVR 2 - aside from VR games I started Spider-Man 2 with the PSVR 2 on and swung and glideflew (is that even a word?) my way around New York. That was pretty incedible. Jumping straight down from a tall building is not for the faint of heart If you have PSVR 2 and Spider-Man, try it
Decided to start playing through Dragon’s Crown again! I own it on PS3, Vita, and PS4, so I’m uploading the save data and playing it on whichever console I feel like playing on. 🤣
I’m playing Alan Wake remastered (just starting episode 5). I might finish it this weekend. I’m not enjoying it as much as I thought I might. It’s pretty challenging for me even on easy difficulty. 😅
I’m also playing Yakuza Like a Dragon. It’s the first time for me playing any in the series and it’s been pretty fun (currently just started chapter 6)
What am I playing this weekend? The same I play every weekend, Pinky!
Flatscreen:
Cyberpunk 2077: I am trying to take over the world in Night City. I am soooo impressed with the city itself. It is the best living world I've encountered. Backlog of alternative choices: BG3, Forbidden West, etc.
PSVR 2:
GT7: The game just got an update with a snowtrack, better AI and new cars and menus. So, they're adding life to my biggest obstacle in clearing other VR games. Backlog: RE8, WD:S&S.
PS PLUS: I am lapsing this service, so even though Cyberpunk is consuming my life, I might try and hateplay some of the titles I will soon not be able to play. I have subbed for a very long time (5 years maybe) so my library should be (is) insane. The thing is, though, I struggle to think of a single title I NEED to play before it is too late.
Bottom-line: I can't keep up with the avid gamers in here, who seem to play and finish new games every week. Whenever I hear this site trash PSVR 2 I have to think: How did you seriously get the time to play through all PSVR 2 content!?
I hope to get a few hours of Saints Row in. I've done 60 hours so far, the money is rolling in.
Im playing the amazing divinity original sin enhanced edition.im almost at the end of this amazing game.im playing as a wizard and its so fun.easily one of the best games ever made.the graphics is good also.im going to play the excellent monster hunter world master edition.im playing with the heavy bowgun.and the gameplay is so fun and the heavy bowgun is so powerful.amazing graphics and boss fights.the story is really good also.im also playing the fantastic sniper elite 3 ultimate edition.karl fairburne is a cool protagonist.this game is fantastic.with the sniper x ray kill.the story is good.the gameplay is n.i.c.e.the remastered graphics looks good.it also got wonderful boss fights also. i will be playing the wonderful ni no kuni wrath of the white witch remastered.and the incredible bioshock infinite the complete edition.i will be watching my boston Celtics 💚🖤 play.my Pittsburgh Steelers💛🖤 play.and i will be watching legendary sitcoms comedy tv 📺 shows in Sanford and son and saved by the bell.word up son
Started to play the new cod campaign, played about 20 minutes of it & turned it off. Couldn’t get into it, felt like a complete rip off of what for me, are throughly enjoyable campaigns. So I’m back to playing the excellent Mario wonder.
I'm mostly jumping around between Metal Gear 1, Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, and Disco Elysium, though I'll also give the new Mario Kart 8 tracks a try.
@get2sammyb If no tv, you could just use a PSVR2 as your screen?
Series X: Cyberpunk 2077. Went from hating this game at launch to really enjoying my second 2.0 run. I'm even considering picking up Phantom Liberty after finishing all the base game endings.
PS5: Nothing.
Switch: MK8 last DLC wave.
I’m enjoying my first playthrough of Lost Judgement, on chapter 12 now and would love to get it finished this weekend - the story is so good
I'll most likely finish up Alan Wake 2 and then go for my 2nd Control Plat with the EU version of the ultimate edition (which has a seperate trophy set from the US version).
It's all about Like A Dragon Gaiden this weekend. Does RGG studio have the best writing talent in the industry? Seriously I'm always just amazed how good they are at walking the line between drama and humor in each entry of the series and never slip too far into one side or the other.
It's just so impressive. I'm having a great time with it!
This weekend I’m finishing up Alan Wake 2 for the PS5. I’m on my way to the platinum trophy, with all collectibles obtained. My focus now is leisurely completing the main story and I should be set.
As of right now it’s my GOTY. I believe it’s in a league of its own and has officially stamped Remedy into legendary status. I would compare them to Naughty Dog (to me) and Kojima in that regard. They should have free rein to do whatever they want because of their creativity.
And just when I think games can’t shake things up in originality, Remedy comes along to remind me that it’s still possible. How they are able to pump out consistent titles at a frequent volume is astonishing. The best way to describe it is simply Nintendo-esque.
Speaking of Nintendo, I’m slowly chipping away in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I’m presently on the 5th world, and have managed to procure all Wonder Seeds minus a small handful. I’ve also unlocked secret locations that provide really fun challenges. I love how there are secrets everywhere — not just in the actual levels themselves, but in the over world as well. Wonder definitely harkens back to my favorite Mario game, Super Mario World.
Next up on my list: Super Mario RPG. I can’t wait for its release next Friday.
BG3. Got to get myself out of the smelly sewers, and then it's off to the foundry and to clear up some more companion quests, I guess. I feel like I could trigger the end game at any time now, but also like I've got another 40 hours of content first, if I so choose 😁
I'm also very tempted to start TLoU during the long dark evenings, but maybe I should wait until I've finished BG3. Although at that point I'll want to play Jedi Survivor or Hogwarts, I reckon. I might make myself properly finish FF16 this weekend too, actually, as awards season is kicking off, damn BG3 for taking over 😅
@Kraven
Couldn't agree more. Although I have my gripes with Alan Wake 2 I utterly love their artistic vision. The amalgamation of new weird, cinematics, awesome music and good gameplay is exactly what scratches my itch. And they gave me my favorite band for 20 years now (Poets of the Fall aka Old Gods of Asgard in AW2) which I had the pleausure seeing live just last septembre again.
More of the same as last few weekends, mainly Gran Turismo 7, WRC and Street Fighter 6! Off to the German market in Birmingham later but will have a decent session tomorrow.
Still playing Spider-Man 2 and still highly enjoying it.
Made it to the Divertissement chapter in Trails of Cold Steel 2, so plan to finish that and the epilogue this weekend.
FF 14 online, finished realm reborn. Level 53. Keep on grinding!
Finished the Spidey Platinum and Alan Wake Remastered and then immediately dove into BG3. It’s awesome but I can’t play it in large swathes.
So I’ve picked up Sanabi on Switch and Alan Wake 2 because I am still all about being Alan at the moment.
Currently nearing the end of a plague tale innocence on ps5. Looks gorgeous on the newer hardware.
Finished watching Atrack on Titan : The Final Chapters so i will be carrying on with Star Ocean The second story R on PS5 this weekend. Its currently raining Cats & Dogs which is a nice backdrop for a classic JRPG imo. Enjoy your Gaming everybody!
@Tsushima It’s soooooo good. I didn’t realize how much I was missing this style of game in a year of new classics (even if RE4 is similar, it’s also not). I had high hopes for it, but it’s constantly shattering expectations I had for it. By the time I finish it, I may have a new GotY pick. I’m thoroughly impressed.
I finally pulled the trigger on BG3, which I downloaded overnight. Looking forward to playing this highly acclaimed game, especially as I also have a week off work now 🙂
Trying to wrap up my playthrough of Yakuza: Like a Dragon in preparation for Gaiden next month; just finished chapter 12, so only two more to go.
Also trying to get the platinum trophy for Street Fighter 6, which I’ve almost done, but getting that last tournament win is proving more annoying than I would like.
More Pocket Circuit racing in Like a Dragon: Gaiden. Frustrating yet addictive.
@Kyushutrail What I hate in the Alan Wake Rem. combat is that we are always taking hits from behind. Alan runs fast, but when the enemies are chasing him, he slow down so much. And the enemies almost teleport to get him, it's quite unfair. I'm in ch. 5 too, maybe I finish it tomorrow (and there will be the DLCs after).
Spider-Man 2. I was going to wait until Thanksgiving to play it, but I caved and bought it early. Glad I did, it is wonderful.
Pure fun, just like the first game.
Finished Spider-Man 2 last night. Really enjoyed it!
Now that Spidey 2 is finished, a friend of mine got me into the game Grounded so I'm starting to get addicted to playing that a whole bunch.
Also there is a golden weapon rotation in Salmon Run in Splatoon 3 so I plan on playing a whole bunch of that later tonight.
Xbox - starfield
Nintendo - New Super Mario bros 2
Sony - Farpoint (psvr1)
Pc - Civ 6, Lamplighters league (pc gamepass)
PC and Steamdeck weekend. PS5 taking well deserved break after my SM2 binge
1. PC: Alan Wake 2
2. PC (Game Pass) Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name
3. PC/SteamDeck: Tales of Arise - Beyond the Dawn Expansion
Aabs Animals (Vita) - Weird little pet game my daughter is playing with me.
Doodle God Blitz (Windows Phone) - 2/3 of the way complete now.
Going with Resident Evil 4 and the DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake. I’m on vacation this coming week so I’ll definitely have time to get this in.
Playing through Fable again (not the anniversary version) on Steam. Wanted to try an evil character for once, and it's great, dastardly fun, breaking into houses, pilfering and being generally chaotic. Also tried Daggerfall again (finally got through that damned tutorial). Feeling very directionless. That game is the farthest thing from hand-holding! Stupid big as well.
As for PS5, I thought I'd play through Sleeping Dogs again. It's been a while. Thinking of returning to Diablo IV and maybe subscribing to Game Pass so I can finally give Starfield a go.
Still playing Horizon Forbidden West. I know it doesn’t break any new ground in terms of open world games, but it’s gorgeous, and fighting robosaurs never gets old!
Getting back into the RE4 remake after a bit of time away. Great game!
Dead Space / Alan Wake: Folly a Deux
RoboCop: Rogue City, Mario Wonder with the wife, Halo: MCC with the boy and I started a New Game+ in Sea if Stars because I just can't get enough of that game
I've platted Spider-man 2 and finished AC: Mirage, so pausing on new purchases. Instead working my way through...
...Lawn Mowing Simulator. Honestly. Hopefully plat by next week and then I can rejoin normal PS5 folk
I just beat Spider-Man 2 last night, so I’ll either be clearing up some side content or jumping into Immortals of Aveum next.
PS5 - Assassin's Creed: Mirage, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name
Switch - Super Mario Bros. Wonder
I happened to see risk of rain returns has come out on switch which I completely missed so bought that and loving it! Graphical upgrade on the original, loving it so far just unlocked a couple of characters and the music slaps!! Other than that, I am about half way through my first playthrough of cyberpunk and it's amazing- air dashing with the katana after setting off contagion on some fools will never get old, although I keep getting side tracked finding the cyberpyschos!! Have a great weekend everyone
I'm on Alan Wake 2 now, after finishing SM2 last week. I'm about 5 chapters in and in all honesty am a little underwhelmed. While it is amazing in moments (notably the much discussed second 'chat show' chapter), it is sometimes too obtuse for its own good, to the point where I'm just wandering around aimlessly, constantly getting lost and even when I know what I'm doing, I'm often asking why. And the combat isn't great, made worse when enemies keep respawning when I inevitably get lost...
Nonetheless, despite the gripes the atmosphere is great and I'm keen to push on...
Fired the old PS3 up the other day and I'm now enjoying Uncharted 2. Again.
Abit of gt7,and having just bought re4 remake on ps5 after bit price drop in argos I'll get into it ,looking forward to it as haven't played ps2 version for ages so I'll see if it lives up to its review high scores ,I'm sure it will though all those gamers giving it really high scores cant all be wrong lol
Phantom Liberty for me and maybe meeting Hanako at Embers.
All this gta 6 talk made me remenince a little so I started a new story mode of gta5. I played it though on ps3 and again on ps4 so this I'd my 3rd but not for about 5 years and I'm loving it all over again. Vice city will always be my favourite but 5 is a great game. Never once touched the online game which I'm sure is great but not for me. Many have said it already but the humour is hugely important for gta and the worry is that'll it'll be watered down for modern audiences but until I know otherwise I can't wait for the trailer next month 👍
Playing Yakuza Kiwami again as I did not get my copy of Like a Dragon Gaiden in the mail yet.
Star Ocean The Divine Force, I played about 20 hours so far, art is incredible, I'm not into jrpg's but this is very enjoyable.
@freddquadros Ooo forgot about DLCs 😂 I’ll get through it! I have a couple of other little gripes, but there are things I like about the game, too
I´m still playing Elden Ring on ps5...my first game over 100hrs and to my surprise, enjoying it even more with time. During the week defeated Lord Rykard and on the way to Leyndell Royal Capital, following Ranni the Witch quest - currently stuck on boss Astel but will find a way for sure...have a nice weekend, gamers!
Some Diablo IV season 2 and I just finished Immortal Fenyx Rising, the main game.
Jusant! Good stuff!
Alrighty well we got our last big week of games of the year I feel coming up so here we go. Of course I know we still got some games coming out this year like Dragon Quest Monsters 3 for Switch and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising for PS5 but personally I feel like Switch has its last big games this week in Super Mario RPG a game I’m very very excited for and Persona 5 Tactica another game I’m hype about. And the PS5 had its last big games last week with COD MWIII and Like A Dragon Gaiden. Speaking on that last one that’s where we’ll start this week as that’s easily my game of the week it feels so good to be playing another game with Kiryu I mean Joryu. A good Yakuza beat ‘em up style game makes next years LAD8 and it’s RPGness just that little bit easier to stomach. Otherwise a perfectly ordinary time with some excellent games like Pikmin 4, Sea Of Stars and Star Ocean 2 as usual. Oh and of course some excellent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with friends to see the rest of the Booster Course. That really was a excellent DLC a collection Nintendo did honestly worth the money. Also Nintendo please put Pauline in MK9 or 10 or whatever you’ll call it thanks. Like most people it’s time to knuckle down and work on GOTY games. I mean man after the Tekken 8 reveal tonight we got the Game Awards nominees tomorrow like that’ll make my game carving path really easy. I know it’s probably gonna mean blitzing and finding out truly how a game like Baldurs Gate 3 works. Might snag UMVC3 tho as it’s on sale for the price of a decent lunch. So yeah a week of Spider-Man 2 and Mario Wonder and Sonic Superstars and Pikmin 4 and Alan Wake 2 and Sea of Stars and maybe Tales of Arise awaits. And of course Super Mario RPG at the end of the week seriously you guys I’ve never played this game I can hardly wait. Gonna try to finish Arnold Schwarzeneggers new show on Netflix FUBAR this week so I can move on to the Onimusha anime and the Scott Pilgrim show too. Anime of the week of course gotta go to Eminence In Shadow, Inexperienced Love Story, Frieren, Spy X Family, and Shangri La Frontier. Those are the easy stand outs of the season so far. And podcasts this week gonna be bulky as I gotta give a shout-out to the ones getting me through work of course being Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Remap Radio, RPGsites Tetracast, Friends Per Second, Minnmax and of course Into The Aether. All absolutely excellent and amazing. As always everyone have a excellent weekend and Happy Gaming.
Alan Wake 2 for me. It's such a good game! Been playing this on Series X - looks amazing in Dolby Vision!
@Kyushutrail Yeah, the story, atmosphere, is great!! I finished the main game yesterday, only the 2 DLC episodes remaining. I will do it!
@freddquadros I finished it yesterday, too. I think I’ll skip the DLCs for now. Maybe I’ll come back to them later. I liked the atmosphere and the ending was pretty neat, too.
Will probably pick up AW2 when it eventually goes on sale
