Another hectic week in the PlayStation sphere has come to a conclusion, and now we're eager to decompress with some good old fashioned gaming. Here's what we're playing.
Aaron Bayne
After getting some hands on time at a recent preview event, I'm dying to try out Elden Ring Nightreign again, which has it's CNT this weekend!
Echo Apsey
I'm still making my way through Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, trying to complete as much as possible. But, I'll be breaking it up by dying to Arkveld over and over again in the Monster Hunter Wilds beta.
Jamie O'Neill
I'm looking forward to my milestone birthday on Sunday — for context, I'm old enough to have played Atari's Star Wars coin-op when it was new in arcades in 1983 — and I'm going to celebrate the artwork and character design of Naoto Ohshima by aiming for a Sonic Origins Platinum on PS5, as well as playing NiGHTS into Dreams (PS3, 2012), and Balan Wonderworld (PS4/PS5, 2021).
Khayl Adam
Having mostly recovered from 120+ hours of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I’m finally digging into Civilization VII, which is a nice change of pace. It’s gorgeous, and quite a departure from Civ VI; I need to dive in and see how it stacks up!
That's what we're playing this weekend, then, but what about you? Let us know in the comments section below.

This weekend and the following week I will focus on Castlevania Bloodlines as the next step in my ClassicVania journey! Already on stage 2 Greece with John Morris.
I am also starting Resident Evil 1 Remake as I've only beaten it once with Chris, long time ago!
On the side quick sessions of Resident Evil 2 VR as I am finally in the NEST Lab!!!
Oh and I am actively developing Castletoria! Each day I draw new assets for the game and code little parts Soon I will start improving the gameplay.
Happy gaming everyone!!!
I'll be mixing it up this weekend by continuing a Cyberpunk playthrough, picking something new - preferably a small indie - out of the backlog and attempting to smash Civ VII on Deity difficulty. Have a great weekend everyone!
After initially loving Alan Wake 2 in the first few hours it's beginning to wear me down a bit. It started off incredible but the Alan Wake chapters and terrible combat are becoming a drag which is a shame. Feel they should have just stuck with Saga's chapters as I am still really enjoying them.
Currently making my way through Cat Quest 2 and High on Life, both simple enough but enjoyable. Have also made a start on Citizen Sleeper so hope to get back to that at some point.
Have a good weekend and enjoy your gaming people.
High on Life. Hilarious so far 🙂
Sorry guys, Im being a full on traitor this weekend and staying on XBX for the next few months lol !
Playing the truly wonderful KC2 - Deliverance , got to Trosky and picked up some side quests and loving it. So much better than the first game.
Started Avowed on early access with GamePass and its great so far, an interesting Pillars of Eternity spin-off- a fantasy Outer Worlds and im loving it
Also, another life sapping open world hardcore RPG with the brilliant STALKER 2 ..As hardcore as it gets and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
On PS5 I'll be playing some Dying Light 2 co-op with a mate and maybe some High On Life. On Xbox I'm trying to finish Sniper Elite Resistance and Far Cry New Dawn before Avowed on Tuesday. I've also still got to finish Visions of Mana but got really bored about halfway through and I've not went back for a couple weeks.
More KCD2! With some Dk returns HD
Started kingdom come 2 last weekend after reading the reviews. Havent played too much over the week so this weekend mostly playing it. Such a great game characters brilliant. Its hard to master it but worth it. Finally found mutt. So will carry on with main missions if i dont get distracted 🤣
High on Life. I don't want to dive into anything time consuming with Monster Hunter so close.
Tried Nightreign during that first window but couldn't get in. I'll give it another go tonight and tomorrow morning.
Other than that it's the usual Helldivers on PS5 for me, and probably Stardew Valley on Steam Deck.
Just started Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip and it’s pretty fun. (I wouldn’t have discovered this title without Pushsquare writing a piece on it, so thanks!) I’m also closing in on the platinum for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, which requires a LOT of duels to plat. Looking forward to checking out Lost Records too on the 18th. Happy gaming lads!
Pikmin 1+2: Thought I'd see what all the fuss is about and where better to start than at the beginning? I like strategy games quite a bit and this seems to fit that bill so here goes.
I recently completed Dragon Quest III HD-2D after 44 hours and man, that was old school RPG done to perfection: tough at times but always fair and honestly gorgeous to look at. Can't wait to continue the story with I and II!
I’ve been playing a bit of Echoes of Wisdom this morning, how good is this game?!
Off to an arcade in an hour, been meaning to go to this place for a few years now. They have all the classics but I will be stuck to Time Crises 2 I expect. Action!
Have increased my back log by purchasing Robocop: Rogue City and KC:D last week and I’m still unable to start them properly because I’m quite keen on finishing SH2. But that won’t be till I’ve got a family free day tomorrow 🤞.
Enjoy your gaming weekend everyone 👍
I caught a nasty cold that forced me to rest all day. So there's no gaming session this weekend 😔
I picked up a copy of The Quarry for under £10 on the PSN sale so I'll give that a go tonight when my son's gone to bed. He'll be busy on the new Astro Bot level today.
I stopped playing RoboCop after some 5 hours. It has so much to love, but its gameplay becomes so samey. And while I also love other games with samey gameplay over dozens of hours, their gameplay is just fantastic (looking at you, Breath of the Wild). RoboCop never reached this quality level for me, unfortunately.
Approaching the end of the first Trails in the Sky now. What a charming and fun game it has been, with a great cast of characters, and a brilliant translation. Estelle in particular is fantastic (and frequently makes me chuckle). I would be very sorry it's almost over, if I didn't know I had the second part to look forward to. I guess I'm well and truly signed up for the Trails journey now!
Once finished, I think I'll take a break with some other games for a bit to cleanse my palate before launching into part 2.
Have a good one folks.
Managed to get more playtime than normal this week, always nice 🤓
Sniper Elite Resistance - So, I got in a pickle after an autosave so decided to load an older save. Got in another similar situation with low health, being hunted and an autosave 😬 I realised I dont have the patience for this game as Im rushing to much. But I feel like I've shot enough Nazi balls off to happily drop it, at least for now!
Sayonara Wild Hearts - Having heard so much good about it I had to play it. And wow, what an experience! Its hard to explain what the game is, rytmn mixed with schmup with very cool graphics and a great soundtrack perhaps. Its also short, if you like great but different games I really recommend you give it a try 😀
Warhammer 40k Space Marines 2 - I wanted to play a game with a short enough campaign that I would be able to finish it before Avowed and there was a sale for this 🙂 Having played the trial I knew it was good but damn, I've really been enjoying this. It looks and plays really great and is just so much fun to play imo. I've finished the campaign but I need more! Thankfully theres operations and multiplayer 😀
Finished sniper elite resistance. Picked up Metal Suits: Counter Attack, a brilliant run n gun mix of Broforce/Kid Chameleon, great fun. Also though about picking up Retrorealms bundle on sale but heard it had horrendous difficulty spikes, anyone confirm ??
Got Freedom Wars and Persona 3 Reload for my Japanese fix. Finishing the last few unlockables in Synapse on PSVR2.
And… as PS5 is the first time I’ve owned a PS console since the ps2 days I’m playing some of the classics I missed over the years, am just about to jump into Uncharted: Nathan Drake collection for the first time!
Have fun all!
Playing the Nioh 2 DLCs ^__^
I will play the ps1 classic and ps4 remake all in one in the excellent pac man world repac.pac man is a legendary mascot.the gameplay is excellent.the graphics.the story is surprisingly excellent good.the soundtrack and the boss fights are all excellent.i will be playing the classic ps3 on ps4 hits in the amazing devil may cry 4 special edition.nero is a cocky amazing protagonist.the gameplay.the graphics.the story.the boss fights the soundtrack are all amazing.i will continue playing the incredible kingdom come deliverance royal edition.and i will continue playing the phenomenal detroit become human.my boston Celtics 💚🖤 got the weekend off so i will be watching the all star game.three point and slam dunk.i will be watching legendary sitcoms tv 📺 shows comedy in family matters.the Jeffersons.good times.sanford and son.and saved by the bell.word up son
@PuppetMaster Oof, wishing you a speedy recovery.
Main focus will be more Wilds beta. Not sure if I want to commit to maining Insect Glaive again as I've done in past entries; suppose another weapon will be my calling? I can only experiment this weekend and find out.
Been also chilling with Darkest Dungeon lately (already beat it on Switch and Steam, so I'm no stranger to its difficulty), only to kill time prior to Wilds. Playing with all DLC enabled, so I should hurry up and start Crimson Court soon.
Have a great weekend y'all!
Im still trying to get into Ragnarok, but wow its a slog for me. Not into the combat, too many systems, long periods where nothing happens (Ironwood). I know loads of people love it, but i think it might just not be for me (which is fine). I feel like ditching it for now and playing Dead Space now ive got my PS5 drive
@Shadeon_Koopa Thanks for your pray mate. I really appreciate it 🙇♂️
Yakuza Pirates demo
Nothing!! Ps5 is in for repair 🤬
@DrVenture69 A lot of Sony sequels in recent years did worse than the first entry. Horizon, GOW, Spiderman etc
I hope that as those studios reboot and try new things(besides Horizon which is probably getting a 3rd game) will do better and learn lessons.
I’ve fallen back down the rabbit hole for Stardew Valley. I haven’t played since the new update from last year, and I’m having the best time planting new seeds, prize tickets (sorry Lewis for the amount of time I storm into your house 😅) and mystery boxes. I haven’t even found half of all the new stuff, so I’m occupied until Pirate Yakuza with my boi next week.
I’ll be playing Kingdom come deliverance, The first one on my ps5. I took a seven year break from playing it so I ended up putting 15 hours in before realizing that the save I was using was missing about 30 hours of playtime. So that was fun. Other than that, maybe gunner’s heaven.
I think I’m getting closer to seeing the end of Resident Evil 4 Remake. I’ve been savoring this game, enjoying every minute. It’s been a remarkable contrast from my experience with the original version, which I didn’t care for much and couldn’t even finish because I found it rather frustrating to play. The Remake has been wholeheartedly a better time for me. I rarely if ever engage in DLC and I’m pondering getting Separate Ways because I don’t want it to end.
Then for Portal time it will be making my way though Gris, and then trying to get back into FF7 Crisis Core, provided the PSN holds together this weekend. 😄
Ultros & Final Fantasy XVI!
I'm glued to the amazing adventures of Henry of Skalitz, KCD2.
79 hours played and I'm only on the 6th main quest.
I'm actually giving cyberpunk the playthrough I've been threatening myself with for an eternity and quite possibly some v rising too..Have a great weekend folks 👍
Nightreign if I can get it to work. I tried Friday's but the matchmaking wasn't having any of it.
Being in the Roundtable Hold made me want to play Elden Ring again, so I've got back into that. Running a boxer build, fist weapons and leg armour only. Add in the Bloodhound Step and I'm floating like a butterfly, stinging like a bee.
@PushSquareUser i know, i didnt end up getting Horizon Zero Dawn 2. I took over a year to get ragnarok. I do really want to play Jedi Survivors again (loved that), and i was halfway through a replay of Dead Space when i got the Pro. Thankfully there are still loads of great games around (subnautica, animal well, lorelei and the laser eyes)
On the Pro Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. What a masterpiece RPG. Also Warhammer Space Marine 2. Next week will start Avowed
Hopefully finish up SE: Resistance on Series X, which has been fun enough but there is too many technical issues that have plagued my play through. My other order of business is concerning God of War: Ragnarok which is phenomenal so far and making a start on Dead Island 2 in preparation for some Push Square co-op action.
Happy gaming everyone, have a wonderful weekend 👍
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
I’m 50+ hours deep, haven’t even touched a single main quest, and yet I’ve become Henry the Lion-Heart, traveling the country side, speaking the language of dog, convincing villagers on the road that I’m the Dark Lord, getting drunk while saving drunks that have climbed up trees, sleeping in beds that aren’t mine, and stealing wreath’s from an opposing village up in qualms with another. I’m dirty, I’m clean, but I’m reliable and charismatic either way.
I love this game.
Finally started Indy and it's great so far. Definitely sold me on going first person
@Kraven If this was a review for the game I would have picked it up day one no questions asked.
In light of the pretty cool trailer for a sequel of sorts, I gave Returnal another shot. And it's incredibly fun so far. I couldn't stop playing once I actually booted it up. Fast slick shooter action. And the story and lore are actually pretty interesting
I'm also playing Elden Ring Nightreign. It's actually kinda fun but most of us don't know how to play so we end up dying the 1st day. We don't really kill enough mobs to be properly ready for the boss we fight at the end of the ring. Gonna try to redirect us to as many mobs and graces as possible
And just wanted to shout ZZZ cause it's where all my luck goes lol. I just pulled Evelyn's weapon in a single 10 pull no pity built up. I'm gonna spend time building her stats to use her. Can't wait for Trigger next.
Finally finished off the Suicide Squad platinum yesterday, which was my last hold-over from the previous year… so only a month and half late getting to this years schedule 😅.
Dead Island 2 is up first and really enjoying it so far. Looks great, satisfying combat and just dumb honest fun, which is all you need sometimes.
Already finished TLOU Chapter 1 on my new Pro. Never could get into it before but this time it blew me away; fantastic game! Started GOW Ragnarok now, hope to finish it before my Extra runs out in 3 weeks.
The PS5 Pro rules! Never expected such a drastic increase in engagement from my part, since I’m normally blind to stuff like fps. In combination with my relatively new Neo Qled 65 inch it makes all the difference though.
Now I just have to find a disc drive for a normal price…
Mafia Definitive Edition. Going for the platinum!
On top of that I’ll get lost in High on life and maybe Infinity Nikki or Wuthering Waves or Zenless Zen Zero
Truthfully I’m all over the place with my backlog right now trying to avoid buying Kingdom Come 2 since I didn’t get into the first but I really feel like I might be able to the second one.
Finished the amazing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes last night, so I shall be starting Trails through Daybreak II when I get home from work.
I'll also hopefully be playing Smalland co-op, too.
@JamieO Happy Birthday fellow child of the 80’s arcades! Some good old Sega weirdness seems like a fine way to celebrate. As for me, I’ll be testing my old man reflexes with Under Defeat and a bit of the second Irem collection.
@Amnesiac Many thanks, mate. I'm just heading out to spend the day with my family now, so I'm sure bundles of birthday cake will be devoured!
I noticed Under Defeat on the PlayStation Store the other day, so have fun playing this World War II themed shooter.
I've just looked it up, and it turns out that G.rev's shmup was out in arcades in 2005, and on the Japanese Dreamcast in 2006.
It doesn’t feel like 20 years since that game released, though. Perhaps it's because I'm thinking back to the PS3 version from 2012.
Who knows, I could even buy Under Defeat for myself next week, if my birthday delivers me some spare spondoolies!
I’ve started a fresh playthrough of The Last of Us Part II Remastered and I’m having a great time. Gaming was starting to get a little stale for me, so I went back to one of my favourite ever games for a bit of a reset. So far, it’s working. I’m also slowly working towards the Sackboy: A Big Adventure platinum, but I need to wait for someone to come round to do the two-player levels. It’s a very underrated game in my humble opinion.
I also have Metaphor: ReFantazio ready to start, which I’m really looking forward to playing, but I’ve also had the PS5 version of Persona 5 Royal for a while, and I’ve never played it. Which one of these stellar JRPG’s to play first? Decisions, decisions.
@EverydayRobot Couldn’t agree more! I adored the opening hours of Alan Wake II when I started it over Christmas. I was even thinking that this could be a 10/10 game for me, but Alan’s chapters began to wear me down and I eventually moved onto something else. Hopefully I’ll go back to it at some point, but not for a little while yet.
Thought I’d try High on Life, glad I did! I’ll be playing that this weekend. I didn’t think I would like it based on the type of humour, but it plays really well and is actually pretty funny for that type of style. Worth a go if you’re on the fence.
I finally bought Devil May cry 5 for the PS5, so I'm going to be playing that.
@Gremio108 this sounds like an amazing build to mess with and has me intrigued to go back and try it!
@EverydayRobot Exactly the same feeling when i was playing it, ultimately I gave up on around chapter 7 as Alan, it just wasn't fun with the whole light source, scene change mechanic
Finished the plucky squire so going to move into Evil West. Still tipping away at Medievil 2. Enjoy the weekend everyone
Streets of Rage 4 on my Switch, Outer Worlds PS5.
I continue to have a grand time with DQIII. One little quibble I got to this week - good wavy gravy does the Everbird fly SLOWLY!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 the best RPG you could ask for in 2025. I was happy messing about with side quests for a long time, but I've advanced the main story and bit, and wow. It is pure bliss. The scale and scope is just so much bigger, and it is absolutely gripping. For whom the bell tolls is fantastic, but OP Henry lucked his way to a solution pretty early as I did a classic "oh, what's that door there" and found a short cut where I could use my well honed speech skills to advance. I then ignored the fact I could probably finish the quest in under two bongs 😛 and followed the more expected path to see how it was laid out, and it is indeed very well done, and i'm glad I did as I managed to find out some info that expanded my knowledge of the characters, including finding Katherine up in one of the towers. I expect KCD newbies got a bit of a shock with this quest, however 😂 but I explored pretty much everything I needed and still had 4 bongs to spare after following the quest path and exploring on my own.
And from that point on the game really kicks up a notch, and I'm kind of annoyed at myself for leaving one side quest, as now I feel like I'm too locked in to the rest of the action to care about their peasant problems 😅
Baldur's Gate 3
Playing it for a little over a week and it's going really well so far. Still not that great at combat, but I'll get the hang of it. Look forward to playing it for several hours this weekend.
KCD2 of course , I killed 15 soldiers last night more or less on my own, it took me 30 minutes of running away , sword play and arrows , mainly close quarter weird gun thing vs sword though , i was very pleased with myself, I'm crap at dark souls, but I reckon this is how players feel when they beat a tough boss 😂
Some more Prison Architect, except this time with a lot more fire sprinklers.
Forspoken. Almost 30 hours in. So far it's a 7 for me. The only negative for me are the conversations. Every sentence has the fword in it.
Some more Arma Reforger.
Have a good weekend.
I started Drova Forsaken Kin on my Steam Deck this week. It’s such an incredible game, the combat is fun, I love the leveling system, the world is well thought out, it’s gorgeous, the story is intriguing, and it has some pretty good humor (looking at you dog that stole my meat while I was petting you). I highly recommend it if you enjoy tough RPGs.
PS5Pro - GT7, slowly starting to enjoy it after c10hrs but not as good as I was expecting. More God of War, which is weirdly much better than I was expecting 😃 & likely some Wipeout Omega Collection
Series X - itching to play Avowed on Gamepass, but for now it’s more Indy, AoE4 & Far Cry New Dawn
iPad - Kingdom Rush
PS3 - Pixeljunk Monsters Encore
Happy to play some Indiana Jones, great game, I just need to take it in smaller chunks to avoid illness.
Looking forward to trying Avowed next week, looks great!
On PS5 it's Atlus Fallen, I'm very early but it seems impressive so far..
If we fire up the switch it's likely to be one of those ' Artifex Mundi' games, a guilty pleasure playing together with my wife on a chilled Sunday afternoon.
Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have fun...
@Zuljaras I just beat Castlevania Bloodlines this Thursday! Have fun with it! I also played with John Morris because of the classic whip. With the strange password system instead of unlimited continues(if not using save states) I went back to a level sometimes to beat it using less lives to help me later on in the game. I ended up beating it with only a small amount of lives left. Have you played Castlevania 2 yet, (its the only one I haven't beat yet in this collection) if yes how was it?
After finishing the amazing DD2 last weekend (dlc please Capcom), I started Witcher 3 which I have never played. Holy moly, I can’t put it down. My family is mad. They can’t pry me away from the tv.
Cleaning up the achievements in Slay the Princess on Steam.
Will probably also begin playing Class of '09: The Flipside this weekend.
@GoatFace04 Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest was my very first Castlevania. It is really special to me even if most people do not like it because of the bad mistranslations.
I love that you can just explore the world. But keep in mind that the good ending depends on how many days you took to reach the end.
And let's not forget that it introduced Bloody Tears!
@Th3solution Separate Ways is excellent and an easy recommendation if you enjoy the base game. I played through it for the first time just last year and was not disappointed.
Hope to put a wrap on Metaphor ReFantazio, which has been a joy. Happy gaming!
Mostly puttering around in divinity original sin 2. Everytime I think about playing kingdom come deliverance 2 I realise I don't have time for a longer play session and its not the kind of game I can dip in and out of.
Legend of Zelda echoes of wisdom and some overcooked with my friend from Greece on the ps5
Elden Ring Nightreign - cant say I’m enjoying it. As an add-on to ER it would’ve been cool to find rare items, upgrade quickly and fight some new enemies and carry that into the main game… but as a stand-alone co-op experience, it’s just not for me (not at the paid price point).
Wishing I was getting on with Ragnarok and Snowrunner platinums but life! Don’t drink too many larrups now 👍
Picked up Dragon Age: The Veilguard on sale two weeks ago and will continue to play through that. The characters and writing are underwhelming but the gameplay has been a lot of fun so far.
Very late to the party, but am playing through Nier Automata now. Incredible game. Also alternating with Dragon Age the Veilguard. I haven't finished a Bioware game since Jade Empire and SOTOW. It's a little too easy and the game holds your hand too much, but I'm still really enjoying it.
I've been very sick but I still got some MH Wilds Beta 3 in yesterday.
Getting to grips with Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it's a lot to take in. Looks great though. I suppose I should try to continue on with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle also but I got a bit tired of trekking back and forth through Gizeh.
Rayman legends. Such a beautiful and awesome game
I gave in and bought King Come 2 and oh my gosh what a great purchase. Haven’t even gone to the wedding yet nor will I for a long time. I love how a lot of quests really don’t give you anything but the act of doing them increases your various stats so they are more then worth it since the quest stories are so damn good. carrying a drink dude on my back for 30 minutes actually ended up being fun. The only thing I hate is LOCKPICKING on a controller. It’s so so so bad I just murder everyone for keys.
The issue is there is zero chance I beat it before Wilds comes out. Maybe it will be a good thing because I’m sure there will be some patches out for wilds in the first weeks
I've been playing quite a bit of FF7 Rebirth since it's Steam release. I can see the praise for it throughout last year, it's a great game and a really good sequel to Remake. Really fun seeing more of the in-game world remade from the PS1 days outside of Midgar.
I have a code for the network test for Nightreign but the only chance I have to play is Sunday evening, so I'll give it a go then.
Also want to put a little more time into the MH Wilds beta, to get some of the GS's new mechanics down since it's my main weapon.
After finishing Titanfall 2 I've made a start on God of War.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
@Zuljaras Thanks for the feedback! I believe am going to like it quite alot but I waited this long to play it because its not a nice short linear jaunt like the others and I'm waiting for me to be in just the right mood to give it a real go. I just got into Castlevania a year ago because it was a NES classic that people really love and I've been having a great time going through the entries. Castlevania's atmosphere, music, and gameplay is all great and is truly unique to most games I've played. Now I plan to play the other games and eventually get the Dominus Collection.
@GoatFace04 it is so nice to see someone becoming a CV fan
For me this is the greatest thing in gaming EVER created
Ordered a Pro two days ago on eBay (for $200 less than market prices!) and it came in today. Unfortunately I’m at work and going to the movies after so I won’t be home to unpack it for another 8 hours. But I’ll be doing my usual First Descendant dailies and downloading games I was putting off due to wanting a Pro like Space Marine 2, Rebirth and Hogwarts. I’ll most likely be playing them in that order. Also hopefully fit in some VR2 time since I’m off Monday,
@Odium I’ve never heard of that game before, but I checked out the trailer after your write-up and it looks awesome. I’ll probably buy it and check it out! Thanks for the recommendation.
Microsoft Wordament (Android) - Dailies and Adventure mode is usual.
Halo: Spartan Assault (Windows Phone) - I dare say I'm enjoying this more then normal Halo...
Microsoft Minesweeper (Windows Phone) - Still slowly making progress with this as well.
Nightreign when it works and a bit of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Marvel Rivals if I’m feeling social.
I feel like KCD2 and Marvel Rivals may be my gaming ritual for the foreseeable future (even if I’ll briefly break that ritual up for Lost Records during the week next week).
@Titntin atlas fallen is fun in it's gameplay but it's story is boring and couldn't be bothered with it
I finally caught up with my Dragon Age replay and now I have started Veilguard and so far it is... Great? It probably helps that all the past games are really fresh in my head because I can see the through-lines that culminated in Veilguard. It's like a reaction to Inquisition being 'too' open AND feels like the desperation that gave us DA2 (DATV being saved from GaaS hell and cobbled together in around 2 years)
I'm about 12hrs in and I cannot wait to continue tomorrow!
@Zuljaras Oh and good luck with Castletoria ftom the small little bit I saw it looks really cool!
I've been feeling a bit off lately, and there have been times when I would go for hours or even days without playing anything. I didn't post anything last week. However, this weekend I'm getting back into NBA 2K24, as well as Final Fantasy and other games that I've been neglecting.
Injured myself last weekend, and I'm healthy enough now to get back to redoing my bedroom floor - it's needed it for a while after a section was damaged by a ruptured water heater. I reckon I have 200sq ft down with another 100 to go, but it's going to be a doozy as the cuts get finer.
When I break for the evening, I'll fire up the Raspberry Pi and go for something 16 bit for a bit before going to sleep on the sofa - hopefully for the last night, but I think this last section of floor is going to kick my tail.
Quake 2 on ps5 which I'm enjoying surprisingly and cyberpunk 2077 which is an amazing game
Played Nightreign, pretty disappointed with it as it's just a ***** battle royale game being hard carried by the Elden Ring universe.
Went to play Onimusha instead & Tomb Raider 4-6
Good afternoon.

I played these PS4 games on my PS5 machine. 😊
1. The Sims 4
Attended the Blast from the Past event to get exclusive reward stuffs during this February.
2. Dragon Quest Builders

Still working on finishing chapter 3.
@GoatFace04 Thank you! You can check the thread about the game in the sister site of PS, Nintendo Life. There are some more screenshots there
@rusty82 Yeah, story hasn't gripped me so far, but I might be able to play through that... I hope! 😄
@ErrantRob It's good fun and a completely different way of playing because you need to get in close.
I've gone dex and bleed, more of a swift, Muhammad Ali character. My mate is planning on a Mike Tyson-style strength version so we can co-op. I guess another option would be to get the martial-arts weapons from the DLC areas and go Conor McGregor kickboxer!
I have purchased PS Plus so kins of struggling with Hollow Knight. But would rather play new Momodora.
Still on Dark Souls 3 - on the way to Nameless King and last Lord of Cinder. DS1 is a masterpiece but DS3 is just better game overall in my opinion. I also bought both DLC´s for DS3 so will be playing this game for next few weeks, I´m afraid...but usually I´m not very keen to finish any DLC once main game is done, with only few exceptions like Bloodborne DLC, so let´s see...
When I´m done with DS3 I´ll probably give Returnal another try after Saros reveal during last SoP. I tried this already when it came to Extra some time ago, but after 1 hour and not much progress I gave up and thought this is just not for me, but sometimes 2nd try worked for me in the past so want to try harder this time and see what happens.
Have a nice weekend and happy gaming, everyone!
Quick PSA, it looks like the Suikoden 1 & 2 remakes are out in a couple of weeks (March 6th). I hadn’t heard anything about them in months, so I know what I’m doing in a couple of weeks
I'll be on Avatar for a few weeks yet. I do like a Ubisoft open world.
Banishers ghost of new Eden. Suspect I'm nearing the end.
Also clearing up my backlogs - space marine 2 done. Diablo 4 almost there. Disco Elysium. I think I lost interest on this last year as I approach the last few chapters.
I started 50 Cent Blood in the Sand but realized I can’t get the platinum due to the servers being down 😔. On a PS3 binge of simpler times so I have Dante’s Inferno, Deadpool and X-Men Origins Wolverine inbound.
@Kraven that’s awesome! I’m glad I posted it. I’m about ten hours in and I haven’t even left the first chapter yet because I’ve just been running around exploring. It’s brutally hard but such a fantastic game. I hope you enjoy it!
@KingPev
Are Stalker 2 and KCD 2 comparable?
I have a feeling that I would really like it as it sort of sounds like a game that combines KCDesque systems with the same kind of setting and story of Metro Exodus.
@EfYI ...kind of yeah - in the sense that they are very hardcore, won't hold your hand in any whatsoever with a huge open world that you're free to explore as you wish and challenging combat. They're both fantastic with tonnes of atmosphere. And yes, similar mechanics, like you say
F1 manager 24, latest free game from Epic that I don't subscribe anything to and runs wonderfully on my steam deck. Daughter has ps5 this weekend for NBA 25 or something.
Late to the party, I am playing Odins Sphere Leifthrasir, just for reference I started the game and played it for several hours back in 2016 (stopped, probably becuase another game sparked my interest) and I did restart it this last week and I do quite enjoy it.
Still have to finish Ashen, The Outer Worlds and Actraiser.
Oh, also started Red Dead Redemtion again, completed this game back in the Xbox360 days, I was just in the mood for it. Love it.
To all of you a good sunday night and a great new week. Cheers.
Astro Bot, now that it's updated for PS5 Pro.
Played the Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii demo. Fun stuff! Also played some smaller things. Wanted to do more, but things got kind of hectic.
Kinda bouncing from game to game right now but I just landed on Rogue Galaxy for the first time, and I'm kinda loving it?
Also shout out to Will Friedle (Eric Matthews, Terry McGinnis) to voicing the lead!
I bought the first kingdom come deliverance. I under estimated how difficult the combat can be. Also playing astrobot again
