Christmas may be the time for goodwill, family, and overindulgence – but let’s be honest, if you read and comment on this website, it’s also about games. For many of you, there’ll be a brief break from work for a few days, and that makes it the perfect opportunity to sit back and tackle that backlog. In this very special festive edition of WAYP, here’s what we’re playing!
Sammy Barker, Editor
I've made the major mistake of unwrapping Genshin Impact and Disney Dreamlight Valley, both of which have got their claws into me, so I'll definitely be checking off my dailies and cosying up with these two over the Christmas weekend. But my main target for the holidays is Sonic Frontiers, an open world oddity that I'm rather enjoying in short bursts.
Robert Ramsey, Deputy Editor
Christmas is all about getting stuck into a big old RPG, so I'll be continuing my playthrough of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition. Despite knowing the game like the back of my hand, it genuinely feels like a new experience at times on PS5. A perfect holiday adventure.
Stephen Tailby, Associate Editor
I think I'll ignore my ridiculous backlog once more and continue playing the original Psychonauts. It seems like a lovely, cosy game to enjoy over the holiday break, and I have Psychonauts 2 ready and waiting. I also might cave and upgrade to PS Plus Premium just so I can play Ridge Racer 2. Don't judge me.
Liam Croft, Assistant Editor
I'm fully focused on my backlog at the moment since new releases have (thankfully) dried up for a few weeks. I'm working through some shorter games, including Cult of the Lamb, Evil West, and High on Life. I want to reduce my backlog as much as possible before the 2023 onslaught begins, even if the titles still left from this year are longer RPGs.
Aaron Bayne, Video Editor
It's Christmas time, otherwise known as backlog season! And to mark the occasion, I am finally making my start to a long-overdue playthrough of Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding. I played this one a fair bit back on release but never saw it through to completion, so I'm hoping this fresh start will give me the motivation to be the best post-apocalyptic delivery man out there.
Annette Magaña, Reviewer
Merry Christmas Push Square! I’ll mostly be spending time with the fam but I'll squeeze in a few hours of Disney Dreamlight Valley to get those holiday updates.
Brett Posner-Ferdman, Reviewer
As we approach Christmas weekend, I’m going to celebrate in the most festive way possible…. By playing one of the most divisive games of the year. I’m looking forward to finally playing The Last of Us: Part 1, after hearing some great things about it from many game of the year lists
Graham Banas, Reviewer
What's more festive than Call of Duty? I've been absolutely glued to Modern Warfare 2 since it was released, to a degree I never expected. I'm definitely gonna continue to spend some time with Infinity Ward's latest during my time off. But I also have yet to even start The Callisto Protocol, so I should probably get on that too, no? If there was ever anything even more festive than Call of Duty...
Jamie O'Neill, Reviewer
I've a simple, albeit specific plan to pack my PS Vita when I visit family, so I can race around Arcade Mode's Blizzard Bluff and Polar Pass in PS1 Crash Team Racing on Christmas Day.
Ken Talbot, Reviewer
I'm spending my Christmas trudging through the northern realms, assembling materials to make the Master Crafted Witcher gear (again) in the new shiny PS5 Wild Hunt.
Scott McCrae, Reviewer
Assuming I don't procrastinate and can get God of War Ragnarok polished off in the next day or so, I'm looking forward to finally opening the copy of Marvel's Midnight Suns that's been staring at me from across the room.
Simon Fitzgerald, Reviewer
Christmas will have it’s fair share of family time but we all know it’s about the extra gaming time, you can’t choose your family but you can certainly choose your games. So this year with my backlog mostly cleared I’ll be going back to an old favourite of mine, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. With over a thousand hours sunk into it I am determined to get every unlock and Platinum it.
That's everything we're playing over the Xmas break, but what are you ho-ho-hoping to tackle over the festive weekend? Enjoy the holidays, and let us know in the comments section below.

Merry Christmas, everyone. X.
Will be playing God of War Ragnarok on PS4, Pokémon Violet on Switch and Sonic Frontiers on Series X. I'm hoping to finish off at least one of these games before the end of the year!
I'll also be checking out some games on EA Play, like Battlefield V, Unravel Two and Need for Speed (2015).
Merry Christmas everyone. Il be playing High on life, when the kids go to bed. Bit too much swearing for their little ears. But I am enjoying it
More God of War Ragnarok for me this weekend. Additionally, my daughter has bought me The Callisto Protocol for Christmas, so I’ll more than likely at least check that out tomorrow. Hope I find it better than those who’ve not got on with the game. If it’s a solid 7/10, I’ll be more than happy. Over on Xbox, meanwhile, I’ll no doubt be trying – and failing – to tear myself away from Vampire Survivors.
Whatever you’re playing this weekend, have a wonderful Christmas!
Going to try Dead Cells for the third time. Hopefully clicks this time. Otherwise Mario Odyssey at 4k (don't ask how;)
I have no idea to be honest! Bought my wee brother Mount and Blade 2 so he’ll definitely play that but I’m a little between games after Dragon Quest XI so I’ll probably plug away at Lego DC Super Villains and Sniper Elite 5.
Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or whatever you celebrate this time of year!
I'll be spending my playing time this Christmas with Geralt of Rivia in the bogs of Velen and the Warrior of Light in the cold north of Dravania.
Merry Christmas good folk of Push Square. I hope Santa brings you happiness above all else.
Merry xmas everyone!
Well today i will be doing my usual last minute xmas shopping. After that will be continuing my playthrough of god of war loving it so far havent got as far is i would have liked yet as i had a horrible cold that knocked me for few days. Hopefully over the worst now.
I also did buy myself vertigo yesterday so going to give that a go either after god of war or alongside it havent decided yet.
Currently playing the Demon's Souls Remake. I've never beaten a Souls game before, so I'm trying to finally get one done! I'm seri enj the game so far - 4 bosses down, I feel like I might be able to do this!
If I can beat this, I'm gonna move on to Elden Ring next cos I'm hooked on that sweet Souls gameplay now!
Will be starting God of War Ragnarok and Crisis Core tomorrow morning.
Assuming i finish God of War (no guarantee - the Vanaheim Crater side quests seem never-ending. There is a whole games worth of content there alone! No bad thing though. Ended up playing till 2am last night for the first time in years 😅), i'll be moving on to return to Monkey island followed by Crisis Core
I bought a few games to keep me occupied this Christmas (Evil West, The Callisto Protocol, Chorus and Destroy All Humans 2) and never in a million years did I expect Chorus to be the game that took the crown. I’m having such a blast with it. It reminds me a little bit of Starlink Battle for Atlas in some ways but is fully space combat (you don’t visit any planets like you do in Starlink). It’s so good.
Every once in a while a game comes out of nowhere and takes you by surprise - that game for me this year is Chorus.
Merry Christmas 😁
Working my way through backlog of 2022 so Pentiment, Sonic Frontiers, Evil West, Gotham Knights, Sifu, Stranger Of Paradise, Blacktail. Hopefully getting Final Fantasy Reunion tomorrow and its probably time to play Elden Ring now its on sale
I’ve made the mistake of restarting Fallout 4 for the 100th time. I may actually care about my son this time around. Apart from that I will be checking back into Disney Dreamlight and cozy grove. Merry Christmas all.
I bought Blood bowl 2 in the jan sale for £3.19. it's everything i ever wanted in a turn based strategy game. Who'd have thunk it? So, I'm playing this and two point campus space academy.
Merry Christmas!
I'm playing last of us 2 for the first time, I also got inscryption which was part of push squares indie game of year and I've also seen few others really like it aswell, got to say from trailer doesn't look great but im taking peoples word on it haha.
Dragon Quest Heroes. Possibly Crisis Core once I'm done with that.
This holiday weekend I will play the following!
Castlevania 64 - I really love the atmosphere but I can't get the hang of it! Still having fun though Castlevania rulezzzz!
Continuing Hollow Knight - what a masterpiece!
I bought Pillars of Eternity 2 and I like it. It is like Divinity 2!
And some Snow Bros casual fun!
Happy holiday gaming!
Playing, and loving, Crisis Core Reunion.
Was always going to be my Xmas 22 game from the moment it's release date was announced.
I wish you all the happiest of Christmas's and a serene New Year.
ridge racer 2, Valkyrie profile lenneth, and some other stuff on the ps5. Syberia and virtua racer on the switch. Playing around on the pc engine mini and finally accumulating Microsoft bucks on the XsX to save some cash on ps5 games.
I played these games. 😊
1. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town PS4
2. Animal Crossing New Horizons
I played Animal Crossing New Horizons today to celebrate my 5th anniversary of Nintendo Switch machine purchase day on 24 December 2017. I delivered the presents for Toy Day event.
I have played Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town PS4 for more than 60 hours and I almost finished the year 1. Still build my money and collect tons of Orichalcum ingots to upgrade my house to final house and the tools.
I'll be playing Tales of Arise
Got AC Origins on the sale, feels like at least the camel is realistic than their horses. Not sure if I should add Valhalla too... would've gotten Sekiro but I feel it's still too expensive for a 2019 game all because the dictating PS Store only has the GOTY Edition to justify that price. Soooo it's AC Origins and Elden Ring 2nd run still this weekend. Merry Christmas everyone!
Been playing 'Legends of Amberland: the Forgotten Crown' over on Switch. Came across this on a website which listed first person, grid based, dungeon crawlers as its a genre I enjoy, which is less popular these days. Had on my wish list for a sale. It's a great little streamlined, retro style game.
Also playing some good old Wreckfest and perhaps some Xenoblade 3, or might run through the Christmas stages in Great Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams.
Merry Christmas Push Square peeps!
Will be continuing my play through of Horizon Zero Dawn (yes, I know) - think I'm around half way through.
Hopefully complete Gris today.
...And then attempt to move on and conquer the backlog.
Have a good weekend, happy holidays and may you have much success in all your gaming endeavours.
I will probably finally play Wild Arms. It's about time.
Just got platinum #45 Falcon Age, Will probably continue with Tales of Arise and dip in and out of smaller titles.
Merry Xmas and happy gaming everyone. Don't eat too much 😉
I’m still playing Persona 5 Royal and Fortnite.
I did order a handful of switch games recently with River City Girls 1•2 and Harvestella but I won’t play those for a while. Seems like I’m getting some Xbox, Ps5 and Switch games for Christmas, I did ask for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Gran Turismo 7 so that would be nice.
Not wanting to get into anything too involved until Feb (Hogwarts and PSVR2 games), so I’m actually enjoying Steins Fate Elite, interspersed with a little Caladrius Blaze, both on Extra. I’ve also downloaded Trials of Mana from Extra, but likely won’t play it yet. I don’t really like playing multiple games at once but CB is a bit of a pick up and play anytime game.
Merry Christmas and happy gaming everyone.
Judgement & Persona 5 Royal, both are the PS5 versions. First time ever playing Judgement, but I wanted to replay Persona 5 Royal on PS5 in preparation for P3P & P4G in January.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to the entire Push Square Community.
Playing Witcher 3 update and started a brand new game on death march difficulty, the way the game is meant to be played. This is my second play through and I plan to go for a tank build utilising potions and go for the good ending of Ciri becoming a Witcher unlike the first time getting the worst possible ending because I decided to be supportive towards Ciri (ngl pretty ironic). Happy gaming and have a happy new year😋
It would have been The Witcher 3 having just platinumed Ragnarok but I am away visiting my family for Christmas, so probably nothing until the 28th!
Sad times.
Merry Christmas all! May you get all the consoles and games of your dreams for Christmas.
Witcher 3 on the PS5 is what I’d be playing on Saturday if football wasn’t on. Sunday I will be either starting FF7 Crisis Core Reunion or finishing the first Velen arc in Witcher 3 very late on Christmas night. That’s if I’m still awake enough to feel like I’d enjoy it.
My plan for TW3 was to get through Velen, wait for a much needed patch update then play through Novigrad & reevaluate then.
I hope everyone has an amazing holiday! This is pretty much the only gaming site I venture the comment sections on. So I wish everyone here a wonderful weekend and happy holiday season full of good food, family & gaming!
I know this is off topic or has been discussed somewhere already but you can preorder The Last Of Us Part 1 Firefly Edition UK version on PlayStation Direct.
https://direct.playstation.com/en-gb/buy-games/the-last-of-us-part-i-firefly-edition-ps5
Merry Christmas everyone!! Hope everyone has a great time 😀! Probably nowt today but very hopeful for a copy of God of War Ragnarok tomorrow. Also picking my way through echoes of the eye and have to get wrapped up by 31st before outer wilds is removed from gamepass.
As I cook the Christmas Meal, that severely reduces gaming time, then there's likely to be the usual partial nap which will be infront of something like Home Alone, or the GotG festive special I want to check out, and then there's other festive activities too.
But I do plan to play some more Witcher 3 sometime, or more specifically some rounds of Gwent I'm going to play every god damn peasant I can find and take all their damn cards, in the true Christmas spirit 😄 Collect a couple of contracts between, and if I get round to it, I might help the Bloody Baron find his family and find a Witch that Ciri supposedly had a conflict with, but I'm sure Ciri understands that Gwent has to come before finding her trail, and I've got to make some money with those contracts too! 1000 gold and a satchel full of ingots, jewels and more loot than I thought possible just won't cut it. (some peasant has an emerald sitting in a chest, but only pays 22 gold 😆) It is my duty as a Witcher to always check the possessions of those crafty peasants and remove anything that could lead to risk of bandit raids and them becoming the victims of violent crime 😌
Enjoy the weekend everyone 🥂
@JudgeDredd I’ll probably boot up eFootball as well, if only to wish I had the luck to get Beckenbauer or Matthaus! At least I have a middle two of Scholes and Lampard and Kahn in goals 😂
@nessisonett enjoy the spy hunter level on sniper elite 5, one of my favourite levels from any game this year.
@KAIRU I've always been intrigued by it. However, does it make sense if you're not going in with buddies in a party? Because I'm not the talkative kind of guy with strangers when it comes to online play.
@thefourfoldroot1 Steins;gate is incredible. The twists and turns that story takes are so good. Enjoy it!
I promised myself I wouldn't buy any games before Christmas but I tried the hour trial of Ghostwire Tokyo last night and was hooked..so straight up bought the game.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 will also get a small look in as well as Harvestella on Switch.
Enjoy your Christmas everyone!
My Mrs has bought me FIFA 23 MODERN WARFARE 2 and God Of War Ragnarok and I've also sneakily bought myself Marvel Midnight Sons and Crisis Core and Gotham Knights so will dabble with a few of them! Or add them to my backlog more likely
Merry Christmas everybody all the best to yiu all !!
Had a bad luck this year with the calendar, as both Christmas and New Year Eve will fall on sundays here in Brazil... So no extra free time. My gaming plan is, finish the last missions remaining in Assassin's Creed Unity, as I'm eager to play Syndicate already, some Spider-Man Miles Morales, Ys Lacrimosa of Dana and The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. There is a long promised vacation here pending, I'm hoping they give it to me in january.
And merry christmas my friends!!
I'm playing evil west and its awesome fun. A lot of people comparing it to god of war but i'm getting a serious gears of war vibe mixed with from dusk till dawn and jango (not the tarantino version.) Have a smashing xmas everybody 👍
@Rob_230
I will thanks. Played a couple of hours and enjoying it so far. Need to take a break every 60 minutes or so as there is only so much of a visual novel I can take at once, but it’s certainly the best one I’ve ever played even so little in. Also downloaded that Linear Bounded Phenogram offshoot thing (or whatever it’s called), as I’m sure I’ll enjoy that too and it’s equally free on Extra).
At the in-laws for Christmas and away from my PS5 backlog unfortunately - but it is giving me chance to reconnect with my Switch. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Hades this weekend for me.
@CWill97 My sentiment as well, the gaming comunity can be quite toxic. I had really bad experiences on IGN's foruns, so I never ever read them. Here PushSquare is quite fine overall.
@JudgeDredd I had never played one before and was blown away by how smart the level design was and how much freedom in approach it gave you to tackle problems. I played on gamepass but have been looking at the wolf mountain expansion. Did you play it?
This will hopefully be the last time I'm playing Octopath Traveler Champions of the Continent on Mobile (really great game though!) As this time next week I should be playing GoW Ragnorok on PS5 after finally securing one at retail price.
Im will be playing star wars jedi fallen order.i bought the physical disc more than a year ago on ebay.i got the ps4 version.the graphics looks amazing.the story is cool.the gameplay is awesome.boss fights is amazing.its like a souls sekiro type of game.greedfall with all the dlcs.a cool bioware like rpg.it reminds me of Dragon age.im playing as a technical.graphics is cool.boss fights is n.i.c.e.the story is good.i enjoy the gameplay.eldest souls a amazing indie game.a cool boss rush game.im almost at the end of this game.its a fun game.and borderlands the handsome collection. A funny game also.the story is good also.i will be watching my Pittsburgh Steelers💛🖤.play tonight.and Boston Celtics💚🖤 play tomorrow.i will be watching classic legendary 📺 tv sitcoms comedy in Sanford and son.saved by the bell.and martin.word up son
Finishing Lego Builder’s Journey. Playing Persona 5 Royal very slowly (third time playing the game, but first time on the Switch). On PS5 I am very focused on Horizon Forbidden West. It’s delightful. I am not finding the story as compelling as the first Horizon, but the characters, world, graphics, gameplay, and just overall experience are imo so much better. I am going to be playing this one for a while.
@ItsBritneyB_tch chorus is incredible. I can’t seem to ever convince people how special that is for an indie. Loved every minute of it.
With the Ragnarok platinum in the bag, I’ll probably finish saving the world from well, Ragnarok in Valkyrie Elysium.
Then I’d like to dig deep into Weird West and Evil West.
If time wrap up Bayonetta 2 and Triangle Strategy. But I won’t wrap up those as much as just advance myself a wee bit further in both.
The Witcher 3. Purely for the nudity just in case anyone was wondering otherwise it’s just pure garbage
I won’t be playing much because I’ll be out of town with my wife for the holidays, but with the little time I do get I’ll be continuing my journey through Chained Echoes (Xbox Series X). I think it’s official for me - this is my GOTY. It continues to get better and better, and it’s a wonderful blend of Chrono Trigger, FFVI, and the Dragon Quest games. To me, it’s one of the best JRPG’s in the last five years or more.
Other than that, I am dabbling in Midnight Fight Express (Xbox Series X). I wanted something to play that was primarily gameplay oriented and this game has not disappointed in that regard. It’s a mix between Sifu and Hotline Miami, with combat similar to the Batman Arkham games.
There’s a lot of replayability, with tons of challenges to complete, skills to unlock, and various outfits to procure. My only complaint is the amount of dialogue — not voice acted, by the way — that you have to continue to skip manually, and it is constantly interrupting your fighting throughout the level. If it wasn’t for that, I would absolutely love this game even more. With that said, it’s definitely worth a play if you enjoy isometric beat-‘em-ups.
Hi there fellow gamers,
In this Christmas weekend I´ll be playing Jedi Fallen Order and DnF Duel on my PS5 and continue my Outer Worlds playtrough on my Series X.
JFO PC save file got corrupted months ago, so now I´m finishing and Platinum it on PS5.
DnF Duel got a nice meaty patch and I can´t wait to see what my Ghostblade can do now.
And Outer Worlds is just pure relaxing role playing fun.
Cheers, Happy gaming weekend and Merry Christmas to us all
The backlog beckons!
I'll be hopefully starting Hyper Light Drifter which I bought last year, and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel which I started in 2021 and promptly abandoned for something else, thus forgetting what little I got from the story.
I also have Ace Combat 7 to finish so we'll see but I suspect I will also buy one or more (let's be honest, more) games on the current sale, that Resident Evil 2 and 3 collection looks mighty tempting.
@ItsBritneyB_tch I have Chorus on PS5, but never got around to actually firing the game up and starting it. But your comment is making me really want to finally check it out. Plus, I also enjoyed Starlink (on Nintendo Switch). Thanks for recommending we give it a look. Always appreciate a good recommendation from a fellow gamer.
Finish up God of War Ragnarok and then onto Crisis Core.
@R1spam Is that the one in the monastery island? I did that one last night and because I play on authentic, the lack of a minimap meant I was wandering around aimlessly for ages! Once I got inside, it was brilliant though, the zip wires add so much verticality to the formula.
@JudgeDredd I do enjoy the steady team progression that you can make week on week but it would be nice to have a bit more content now, it’s been quite a while since it launched. I tweak my team a lot but currently got:
Oliver Kahn
Theo Hernandez - Ruben Diaz - Rudiger - Cancelo
Lampard - Scholes
De Bruyne
Mbappe - Haaland - Salah
@thefourfoldroot1 ahh great to hear! From memory once you get past chapter 5, it really sticks its claws in and you'll be desperate to keep playing to find out what happens next 😄 i think it took me that long to get my head around how to influence different story paths, but once it clicked, probably among the best stories i had experienced in any medium.
Liam is playing High on Life… which is not on PlayStation!!! Wait a cotton picking minute… are we still allowed to play games that have a controller WITHOUT the square button?!
I have so much catching up to do
I can finally play the PS5. 😁
Still working through Horizon Forbidden West and I plan to start Hercule Poirot The First Case.
@Zuljaras man I really love Deadfire. Really want to play it again. The environments, music, atmosphere, dialogue, gameplay - all so much fun.
I got Pathfinder 2 instead though in the sale. I am not exactly hooked yet but I am enjoying it. I might end up finding it a bit too complicated, we’ll see.
Also I am thinking of grabbing GT7 today.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas all. I'm playing Miles Morales, saved it till now when I realised it was Christmas themed, Lego Harry Potter (with Christmas red brick enabled) and Train Sim 3 Holiday Express.
I started Lost Judgment a few nights ago. So far having a ton of fun. Been about a year or so since I beat Judgment.
Sports Story, for sure. Finally a good sale on Shovel Knight Treasure Trove too on Switch, so I may play that too! I got A Dark Room with my eshop coins too, so maybe I’ll feel like something completely different? Of course, if I get anything for Christmas that could change plans…
I won’t be home, so the Switch is the way to go if I play anything. There’s a strong chance of Jackbox too.
Still going through Trails from Zero and enjoying every minute of it. Seems like one of the best jrpgs to play during these times. So comfy. Happy holidays everyone!
Had all intentions of playing a lot of Witcher 3 for first time but after couple hours really just wasn’t feeling it. I don’t know if going to that combat system right from Ragnarok was the smartest move, what a step down.
Just played through Forspoken demo which was fine now back to Ragnarok for some dragon fights and other odds & ends.
I’ll be continuing my play through of Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Will probably also finish the Harvestella Prologue Demo on Switch and decide if I want to buy the full game or not.
Merry Xmas ya flithy animals!
PC GAME PASS
Deathloop
Just started this one up, am a big Arkane fan so this long overdue, the style and story are cool so far and gameplay solid as usual but it hasnt click with me just yet...then again, most of their games take a little decation before i grow obsessed with them.
FABLE remake
Thought to give this series a spin before the eventual reboot but have to say it hasnt grabbed me, i can totally see how this was groundbreaking back in the day but now seems pretty routine, dont think ill keep up with it. Anyone has an opinion if the sequels are better and worth me checking out instead?
QUEST 2
I Expect You To Die 2
Finishing up my Quest backlog before i sell it when my PSVR2 arrives. This is such a lovely game, esstentially more of the same, but when the original is fantastic, thats a major compliment.
Merry Christmas to all.
On my ps5 I just finished Soul Hackers 2 the story. So doing a bit of trophy stuff there until it's no longer fun anymore. Decided to give myself a Christmas present with Marvel's Midnight sun. Never played a card combat game before but seeing it also has a lot of rpg stuff in there.
On my Xbox it's a replay of Yakuza like a dragon. I had an itch to play a yakuza game again and seeing Ishin is still 2 months away I started this one. I might start the Quarry as well but not sure yet.
Merry Christmas!
Horizon zero dawn, finally. I know... I have a huge backlog.
Finally playing through the 2018 Spiderman. I knew I'd like it but just never got around to it. Also trying out some of those soon-to-be leaving Extra games. Also getting into some fire emblem warriors on the side. I fear I'm going to be burnt out on fire emblem by the time the new one releases lol
Having finished GOWR and the Callisto Protocol I decided I wanted to play Farcry 6. £99.99 for the GOTY edition on PSstore. After some research I found I could get the deluxe edition, season pass and latest dlc for £57 which is everything that is in the GOTY edition. Then went to Shopto and bought £55 worth of PSN top up for £47.22 plus an extra £2.55.
@WlJ well I say finally in that it’s finally clicking. Not a game for the short sighted now I can’t put it down about 60% of the map in; not nearly the same of the story however. Wasn’t feelin it at the start but it opens up sure enough..
@BlackMayge
I too am loving "Chained Echos",
This has got to be the best JRPG of the last few years.
Going to polish it during the holidays and then clean up outstanding content from Elden Ring.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
@nessisonett that's the one! Love how you think you can see the whole level layed out at the start with the castle looking like lord of the rings towering over everything, then you uncover how vertical it is. Cracking game, would totally check out the next installment.
LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (PS2) - Nearly halfway through episode II now.
Rayman Jungle Run (Windows Phone) - Also nearing the end of this as well.
Age of Sparta (Windows Phone) - Was doing ok, but came across some way op bases. Need to level up big time.
Sports Story (Switch) For sure. Been looking forward to this one since I finished Golf Siory and they announced it.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch) Nothing says Happy Holidays like a Blue Shell to the face. I also need to check out the latest tracks.
Bioshock Collection (Switch) Picked this up on the year end sale. Been wanting to visit Rapture again.
TMNT Shredders Revenge (Series X) I want to check out all the updates with this game so I will be finding some time to check this out.
No idea, but merry Christmas everyone!
Still playing the PS5 version of Skyrim and surprisingly, already level 25 and not a stealth archer, I went full on heavy armor and two handed.
I’m playing Mafia DE. First time playing the franchise.
Merry Christmas to you all!
I decided to play Ghost of tsushima. Wow, looks awesome. Might end up watching a walkthrough instead of playing it because I am so bad at it. I play Witcher 3 as well in the past week and all I do is messing with women who speak nicely to my character, killing monsters if I can(or run away if they scare me) and ride as fast as I can 😄.
I even have to search on the Internet when I don't understand what's going on in main story.
@nyXhc420, I wish a great game experience.
I don't know if there is any difference between DE and original versions, but surely I enjoyed the storyline back at the time. And it had a unique radio collection too. I hope all the good stuff what I liked has in this version too.
I'm working my way through The Witcher, ended up buying Elden Ring in the sale and will be opening a Steam Deck tomorrow, so imagine it will be a mix of things when I get a min between family, food and TV
Evil West and the witcher for me this weekend
Happy Christmas and New year
Dark pictures vol. 2 - house of ashes.
@silverspeed the radio only has two stations 😑
The Witcher 3 in PS5. This game was always a masterpiece and equals Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Horizon Zero Down as the best game of previous generation for me; but now, it is even better. 2022 was a great year for gaming and I wish a merry Christmas and an excellent 2023 for you all from Push Square comunity.
Just picked up Valkyrie Elysium for £27. I’ll have some of that!. Merry Christmas yo
I’m from Gwent and I’m playing gwent, so it’s the Witcher 3 (again, but why not?)…and a bit of No Man’s Sky…maybe…
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE 🎅🤶
I wanted to have my platinum in GOWR so I could crack on with Evil West over Xmas but not quite there yet, so more of that and then hopefully onto Evil West and a bit of Pinball Heroes over the festive break.
No Man's Sky or Bannerlord, I did a few hours on the first, it was a bit of a dull start, so we'll see.
I hope everyone enjoys the winter solstice break.
I've been on a bit of a spending spree in the recent sales, picking up Cyberpunk, Death Stranding and Scarlet Nexus. I have Star Ocean The Divine Force and Crisis Core waiting for me to unwrap and dive into this evening. No shortage of games!
Having just put the finishing touches on 100%'ing both Gotham Knights and Steelrising, I have nothing left to play for the moment. But I do know the next game I'm picking up........ GOD OF WAR: Ragnarok!
Just platted Fenyx (fantastic game, saving the dlc for later), replayed Edith Finch yesterday and I’m replaying Rime after finishing it yesterday (also a fantastic game, little bit Ico, little bit The Witness, with Dark Souls like level design)
JUST UNWRAPPED GOW Ragnarok!!!!!!
I’ve been dug into Ridge Racer 2! And a lot more GT7. Asid from that i picked up a litte $5 game on switch called Lunistice. Its cool little 3D platformer with a PS1 era ethstetic. Super breezy and fun. Just what I needed for the holiday break!
On PS5 still going through Gotham Knights and God of War: Ragnarök and the newest additions I'm mixing in are Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion and PSP's Ridge Racer 2 from PS Plus.
@Westernwolf4
Nice.
