Topic: Gauntlet Group Making

Anyone up for a 2 hour run on Thursday (3.12.15) at 10pm UK time. Pretty sure we can smash it In a group of 4.

I would but honestly if a need a Dungeon crawler fix I would just play Diablo 3.

@Tasuki: Its similar yet different to Diablo 3. You are pressing forwards (north) more often than not. I think you would like it.

Can not make that time but would like to play it. I have such fond memories of the original gauntlet really hope this brings back even a small amount of the joy from when I originally played it.

@themcnoisy: No doubt I will like it as I loved almost every other version of Gauntlet (The arcade version is still one of my favorite Arcade games around) but with my limited game time it's hard for me to justify playing a game so similar to one I have already sunk hours into, if that makes sense.

I played 5 levels of Gauntlet yesterday. It's similar to Diablo in some ways, but it's a different challenge that's worth experiencing IMO. Seems odd not to play it and instead opt for more Diablo when you could enjoy both but horses for courses!

It's been years since I've played Gauntlet so my memory is a bit hazy but it certainly seems to strike familiar chords with me.

Not sure about Thursday but could go for it on Friday. My girlfriend would play locally if needed so there are two of us.

@themcnoisy: Lol it does but at the same time it doesn't. But yeah I tend to just keep the games I like from each genre unless it's a free PSN game like Gauntlet. But yeah I know what you are talking about. I got Sleeping Dogs so I got rid of GTA V. Have WoW so I don't need Destiny. Have Black Ops 3 don't need Battlefront. Have NBA 2K15 don't need Live.

Umm did I miss something? Is that April 12th 2015?? I'm confused.

@Tasuki: In the UK we read and write the date this way so lets say the you would write April the 19th 2016 like this - 4.19.16.

Whereas we write it the 19th of April 2016 like this - 19.4.16

In any case both are right. Although growing up with the latter my brain favours that method.

I've started a barbarian (think thats what it is?!) - Dont mind changing if needed. I've just ordered some food so will be on after i've eaten. It's just me so we have room for a fourth.
