Topic: Pro Evo Lite Challenge

So I downloaded this a few nights ago. Its free and its basically Konami's take on EAs ultimate team.

The challenge is to spend absolutely no money and win the hardest cup. We got any takers?

Haha, I spied this on the PS Store too and wondered what it was; assumed it'd be Ultimate Team mode.

A great challenge you've set for sure there, but I think I'll pass and save my sanity!

@get2sammyb its great for free. I used to love grinding out results with rubbish teams in master league. I remember fondly using Castello as my speedy centre forward first half then sticking on peter crouch wannabe Huygens second half when they were all knackered trying to nick Tony Pulis goals. Its a bit like that early doors.

@themcnoisy nooooo, get castello out wide but in front of Ximinez, with Miranda (who, let's face it, Rui Costa wasn't fit enough to lace his boots) playing them in!

Funnily Im enjoying this challenge. I drew 1-1 against a higher ranked player who had Ibra, kane, ramos and buffon in the team. My goal scorer was a 67 rated Left wing forward who usually plays for a team Ive never heard of. It was so funny.

So heres the spine of my team spending zero dough;

Rojo is brilliant, my defence was a shambles. He came in and I started getting more clean sheets. Never even heard of him. I think hes normally a man utd sub.

So last night I won the new Zico cup! Have no top players (black balls) 4 gold ball players 8 silver ball players and a load of rubbish filling out the rest of my squad.

What Ive noticed is Ive actually hit a temporary ceiling. The costs of keeping my 4 big players under contract is £10,000 every ten games. The other players between them cost about £10,000 every ten games. I earn approx 2.5k each game meaning Im only earning 5k to spend on extra players every 10 games. Unless Ive missed something 30 games in and I have to spend money now to improve my squad unless I get lucky with a scout card at the end of a game.

As an expanded demo this lite version is a boss way to experience the game. Im gonna try the elite cup tonight and finish the challenge off wish me luck!
