I have played Atari classics tonight and it was surprisingly fun with a group of mates. Especially Lunar Lander with crazy gravity. Warlords was also great fun. Pong with duel paddles on each side is way better than I remember too.

So my question and reason for this thread; What are the best Compilation discs or systems you can buy to play on a TV with HDMI? Or through the Ps4 / Ps3?

@themcnoisy The MegaDrive collections (both the PS3 and PS4 versions) are pretty great.

The 40th Anniversary SNK collection that's due out on PS4 soon (already on Switch) looks like a great collection too.

I would also recommend a NES/SNES mini. Both come with a great selection of games and are child's play to crack and add more.

I liked Sonic Jam on the Saturn. Pure Sonic - Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles. All killer, no filler, as they say. Plus it had a 3D mini-level you could run around in and complete challenges to unlock behind-the-scenes content.

The cherry on top was the ability to play Sonic 3 and Knuckles like you could on the Mega Drive, combining the two games together, something I don't think has been recreated on any other compilations.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

Sega Mega Drive Collection on PS3 as it actually had Sonic 3 unlike the new one, the 25th Anniversary Super Mario Collection on the Wii, The Legend of Zelda Collection on the GameCube and not sure if it counts but the SNES Mini
