Had an hour on this last night after noticing a few people from the forums had already platinized the game. I forgot how brilliant the comedy in this game was. Its free with instant game collection right now! Hows everyone finding it?

I played it back in the day on PC and so I played it again on Vita and got the platinum in it. Had to use a guide to keep an eye on the trophies since they're largely not story-related and tied to specific things that characters say/do that you don't even need to do to finish the game. It was a lot of fun though. And it's aged a hell of a lot better than Grim Fandango has which I played a few months ago.
If you're after more games like that then it might be worth checking out Broken Age which is on sale right now. That's Double Fine too and I thought it was a lot of fun.
Personally, I'm just waiting for Broken Sword to get a remaster on PS4. It's not Double Fine, but it's my favourite point and click game ever.
@kyleforrester87: Have you gave day of the tentacle a shot? Mate its so funny. I started using a guide as @johncalmc: Mentions but have binned it (after the old maniac mansion what a treat) and will play through twice and try to do this run on my own from here and pop into the guide if I get stuck. Just probing scenery is hilarious. Has it aged badly? Most definitely - but knowing you Kyle I would highly recommend you have a blast through!

@Kyroki: I never liked Grim fandango - Day of the tentacle, Monkey Island and Full throttle were way better Imo. I never bothered downloading GF on the ps4 it felt too forced and the comedy wasn't always on point from what I can remember. For my Sci fi or more serious point and clickers Indiana Jones and the masterpiece Beneath a steel sky are fantastic - BASS came on 13 discs on the Amiga.
@johncalmc: I have broken age in my library, no idea were I got it from, so that's great to know!

I got side tracked into this last night when a friend reminded me you could switch the options to have it like the old PC version (all the lovely pixels). Played this through with a friend on his old Mac back when it came out (CD Rom with dialogue no less). Now I am playing through on my Vita - which is technically taking time away from P4G but I just wanted to try and plat it.
Loved the maniac mansion section , think I played that on the NES!
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
@booshy89: Yes! If memory serves me right, the puzzles aren't so out there and the games shorter. The temptations too much these days to reach for a guide (George Washington / cherry tree springs to mind in dott) In full throttle I think I completed it with no help from a guide.

I recent been playing through Broken Age with my son and enjoying it alot. Still prefer Telltales point n click games more, but this one is very enjoyable. Think I might play Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango after we finish Broken Age.
