@kyleforrester87: Here's a question - is the world big? Because obviously I just started, but it seems like Cyseal will be the only town in the game - I hope that's not the case.
@BodyW-outOrgans: There are, from memory, 5 maps all of similar size to the first one. After the first one you kind of hop around them all a little more. There are other towns and settlements on each map but I suppose Cyseal is the "biggest". I had the same concern as you really as I'd hoped to visit bigger, even grander towns and cities than Cyseal, but ultimately I was satisfied with the size and variety of the world and I suspect you'll feel like you've seen enough by the end. I think it's something they can improve for the sequel though.
The odd thing I realised about Cyseal is that every building serves a purpose, but there is no actual housing for the residents of the town. Where do they all live?!
@kyleforrester87: Lol - They all just wander aimlessly, repeating the same words over and over again driving you mad as you try to manage your items.... I'm stoked for the sequel now, any word on when that will come out?
Also, I forgot to mention - the music and audio in this game is great!
@BodyW-outOrgans: Lol yeah the one liners get a little bit annoying!! Apparently the sequel is due out in December for PC, from what I saw they have spent a lot of time improving various systems. They haven't announced a console port yet but they have the console engine in place after the first one and a good relationship with the publisher they used for the console version so unless the first one tanked on PS4/XB1 (havn't seen actual numbers myself) it should make the jump over from PC! I'm kind of ignoring looking up much about it until a console announcement is made though just in case it doesn't happen. Plus, as good as Original Sin was, I was a bit wiped out by the time I'd finished it, so I don't mind a bit of a wait between instalments
The music is really good, unfortunately the composer died recently so he won't be doing the soundtrack for future instalments.
Just picked it up today. Got it for only $26. Was wondering what the 2 characters you meet/add to your party later use for classes. I'd rather not double up classes/abilities. I'm thinking pyro/earth mage. And a Ranger of some sort. Any thoughts? Is two ranged classes a bad idea to start?
@Elodin: You meet 4 others, can chose which 2 to run with. Would recommend Madora and Johan from personal experience. I started with a ranger and fighter - no magic. Wasn't ideal but I managed to make it work. Your pyro/earth mage and ranger combo sound great. Get Johan in for some healing and then the final slot is open, although I'd suggest Madora as a good tank. Your builds can go allover the place later in the game anyway, but Johan was always my main healer.
@Elodin: does the ranger prebuild come with the first aid ability? Think it does, it's pretty crappy I found but would be enough to get you to Johan. Even Johan's first healing spell isn't all that really, takes a while to open up the area of effect healing spells! Crossbow is the way to go for your ranger in my opinion, absolute powerhouse later on in the game!
