@kyleforrester87 @Jaz007 Both of you talking about it makes me want to start a third run through.
A quick tip or 2 @Jaz007 use multiple saves in case you want to backtrack or didn't mean to kill someone and crowd control will get you through most fights if you can, be it freeze, knock down or electricute. Also make sure someone is good at physical damage and someone is good at magic damage, or both .Enjoy!

I just started my first play through a couple weeks ago with my friend, we’re now arriving in Reapers Coast.
I’m really enjoying the experience overall, keep an eye out for me on in the lobby’s, I’d love to get a 4 person game going sometime. My username is Universal_Vibes.

@kyleforrester87 I have. We made it to the island. Seems like a great game so far, but I do wish you could interrupt another player while talking and that extra parties members didn’t have a tie to one person outside of combat. Still though, looks like it’ll be a great D&D game with actual D&D combat.

@Jaz007 I can't really imagine getting through the game co-op to be honest, it kinda hurts my head thinking about it. I thought you said "off the island" at first, i was going to say that's some major progress 😂

We’ve made it pretty far split screen without any problems and it’s been an awesome experience so far. Honestly I prefer split screen or more - there’s just so much micromanagment to be done alone.
Not to mention the game has several moments that almost seem like they require two or more players. I’m interested to see how it pans out with one.
We’re finishing up the second arena, in Driftwood.

I’ve just finished Act 1, around 22 hours / nearly back up to where I was when I stopped playing last time round. It’s just been suckering me in and Resi 2 had been put to one side a bit haha.

Last week I picked up the save I started back in Jan 2019 (which was my second attempt) - both times I stopped in roughly the same place, the start of Act 2 I just hit a directionless wall and wasn’t having much fun.

Anyway, I hit it hard and pushed through and have sunk many hours into it since, and I’m really loving the game now. I still think the combat is less enjoyable than OS1 overall, since so many of the elemental attacks are area based and it’s so easy to set off wild chain reactions which can end what otherwise might have been a well laid plan over multiple turns.

@kyleforrester I bounced off this game on PC about three times, but saw it on Amazon for £16 or so for the PS4, and finally finished it about 6 months ago. Incredible game, and I gotta agree on DOS1 combat being better, though I dislike the physical/magic more, rather than crackers chain reactions.

I was surprised that you bounced when getting to the start of act 2, though - I think most friends I recommended the game to drop off just after Fort Bloody Joy, some before they escape. It's so hard to help folk get into the game without directing them in specific ways, but If you do run into a wall or get lost, feel free to shout and I'll try to help in as non-spoilery a way as I can. Glad you're giving it another crack now!

Either way, it's a belting game, and I can't wait for BG3.
