Forum users vote to find the PS4 game of 2015

Any game released from the 1st of January 2015 can be included. Your favourite game gets 6 points, second favourite 3 points and third game gets 1 point. Use the thread to chat about it until the voting period starting the 21st of November until the 5th of December.

The votes wont be starting properley for 6 weeks, noticing the nights creeping in, frost on the floor and toy brochures on the table its coming in quick. Good place to talk about it. Anyone who makes a comment I will include in a massive comment when voting starts.

Hmmm my games of the year..Honestly I think 2014 was perhaps a better year for PS4 games, what with me really enjoying Diablo 3/Destiny 1/Alien Isolation/Wolfenstein/Fez/Towerfall.

My top games this year perhaps seem a bit weaker overall, i.e:

FF Type 0
Axiom Verge
Bloodborne
Destiny Taken King
MGS5

Lets see, what games have I played from this year are worthy. Batman: Arkham Knight and The Awakened Fate Ultimatium are the only ones I can think of right now. Arkham Knight was the best Batman game, and The Awakened Fate Ultimatium had one of the best, if not the best story I've ever seen in a game. Battlefront might be a contender for GOTY once it comes out too.

Batman: Arkham Knight (Action), Destiny: TTK (FPS) and the Witcher 3 (RPG) are probably my GOTY in each genre with probably the Witcher 3 also taking my overall GOTY

@Swiket: Expansions count, but should be judged away from the main game. Was woah Dave out this year?

@Swiket: Disagree, especially since it comes with all expansions and base game - it is a full product in itself. Anyway, it's essentially Destiny 2 in all but name!

Rumour has it No Mans Sky might make it this year too And of course if FF7 HD launches before the end of the year its gotta make it onto my list out of principal haha

I agree that expansions should not count. Otherwise what happens every year an expansion comes out and what if that game wins every year it would get pretty stale. Also what about DLC? Would that count as well, it's kinda like an expansion and can add alot to a game?

I think we should stick to when the base game came out, but that's my opinion.

I agree, expansions shouldn't count. Maybe a DLC of the year would be a good idea though.

3.Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (If ports count if not probably Rocket League.)

That said I was late to this gen and spent most of the year with my backlog.

I dunno, I do agree expansions shouldn't where you need the base game to play, but as mentioned Destiny TTK is a stand alone product (not to mention one of the biggest releases of the year). I mean Phantom Pain is an expansion of MGS5 which started with MGS5 GZ.

Would The Old Blood count, I wonder? Can't decide - it should by my logic!

I'll be getting some games (including Fallout 4) for Christmas and I'm not buying anything else now apart from DQ Heroes, unless No Man's Sky does have a surprise launch.

Thinking about it I don't think I have actually played much released this year. Just Majora's Mask 3D, King's Quest and Yoshi's Woolly World. Arkham Knight is still in its wrappings.

I'm unsure about my top 3 - MGS V, Rocket League and hopefully Disgaea 5 for the win. FIFA is good this year too.

@themcnoisy is the game of the year going to be the game with the most points or are you going to make a list for the top 10 or 20 (or more or less) and then everybody vote again for the defenitive GOTY?
or something completely else?

I only know that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is my personal GOTY. If Vita counts, I'd add Persona 4: Dancing All Night on my list, but there was nothing better than Phanton Pain, IMHO.

@Jairo_MC: I'm still not done with PP, been a bit distracted. I'm about 85 hours in at mission 31, though. It's gunna take me a long while yet to finish it off and get the side ops complete.

I don't really think I can make a full opinion on it until I've cleared the main missions and the way it's going that might not happen in 2015!

@kyleforrester87: I'm far from done either and I have to skip most Side Ops to focus on the Main Ops if I hope to see the end of the story soon (which I want as I don't want to have it spoiled).
However, I think I can already call it my GOTY as I'm loving every second of it. The only other serious contender against it is Splatoon, but that doesn't count here.
I want to try The Witcher 3 too and I even bought it, but I'm more biased towards MGS, as it's one of my favourite series.
