@Kogorn733 definitely worth buying. I have played the crap outta this game. Probably my favorite game lately, I would put it above hzd. That just my opinion though I'm sure many would disagree. Not taking away from hzd, I loved that game also.
45 minutes gone..!? If there's one thing I despise in games it's this. You'd think that game design wouldn't be that hard. Back on the shelf with this game.
@Octane "We are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. Is this a curse? Or some kind of punishment? I often think about the god who blessed us with this cryptic puzzle...and wonder if we'll ever get the chance to kill him"
@kyleforrester87 Cryptic messages my arse, they didn't make the experience any better. Glad I found out there's auto-play and I let the game finish the tutorial for me.
@Octane I disagree, it's exactly this kind of stuff that makes the game more intriguing than your average open world snooze fest. Fair enough, it's not for everyone, but from my perspective you can quite easily beat the first section in 20 minutes - I only died trying to do it on Very Hard - so on balance I feel the lack of save option in the first section, while frustrating for some who'll label it as poor game design, benefits the overall narrative as I interpret it.
@KratosMD To each their own, but I don't like it when a game is wasting my time. Put it this way, I see no reason why they can't put you back at the point just before the fight. Having to go through the entire tutorial again wasn't fun. You couldn't skip cutscenes or dialogue either. I don't like it when games do that, so I'd call it bad game design, because forcing the player to replay a significant section of the game isn't inherently fun. It reminds me of the times when your GameBoy battery died and you lost a good chunk of your progression.
I've just fought the giant EMP boss in my first playthrough, and I am absolutely adoring this game. I'm not sure how far through this playthrough I am, but if it only gets better from here then I can't wait!
Loved this game so much! For weeks now, I almost played nothing else.
Good thing the clock stops at 99:59h but my job performance suffered, probably.
Really a great title and a strong reminder why I'm into Video Games at all!
Gave up on my save data, just a few minutes ago.
Deliberately, of course, but like Pod 153 said: "I feel a slight amount... of sadness."
@kyleforrester87 Thank you! I really hope it clicks with me. I know you have to play it through multiple times to get all of the story so I want to get invested in it. I have avoided spoilers about it as much as possible.
