Topic: Resident Evil 2 Remake

Really enjoyed the demo myself, played it last night on my Xbox one, got about halfway through in the 30 mins allowed but I was exploring and taking it all in, today I played on the ps4 and was able to finish but I already knew the puzzles so could explore the latter bits.

The shooting felt really good and I like that it's a remake and not a remaster, areas feel familiar yet different at the same time.

@kyleforrester87 Never been a fan of replaying games even when there are multiple endings.

@JohnnyShoulder well it's not just the ending. A and B scenarios for each character run at the same time. So while Leon is doing stuff you see what is happening from Claires perspective - you get split up right at the start of the game, afterall. Mr X doesn't show up at all in scenario A, and even certain items picked up in A won't be there when you get to the same location in B.

I don't actually know RE2 very much compared to 1 and 3, but I understand Claire A, Leon B is the favoured route.

But I dunno how the remake is handling this.

@kyleforrester87 Yeah I don't remember Mr X from when I played Resi Evil 2 originally, which makes sense if I only played it through once.

Played this last night. I accidentally put my handgun in the storage box at the beginning and so I ended up in the next section with bullets, but no gun to put them in (you can't crawl back under that first shutter).

By the time I decided to give up and restart the demo, I'd lost ten precious minutes and the time doesn't reset if you restart!

I might replay the demo on my other half's account, although to be honest I've already seen enough to make me want to get the full game.

I played the demo. I didn’t finish as I got stuck thinking I was supposed to do more in the hall and the puzzle took me a few minutes to figure out. It was excellent though. Incredible lighting and sound. Tense atmosphere. The gore is used to be disturbing the right way. I do miss the quick time events from Resi 6 though. It doesn’t feel right when there’s a tense scene like trying pull a guy under the door to get him safe and you just watch with no control. Mashing X would be very helpful. Fight me.

How many of you guys plan on going for the platinum?

@Areus not me unless I love the game and just want to keep playing it. Rarely do I go for plats!

@kyleforrester87 i might get the platinum simply for the fact that i have the ones for most of the other games aside from code veronica and the 2 rall shooter games

I started Leon last night. This is the tensed game I’ve ever played. The demo was much easier than the real game on normal. Having so many zombies but so little ammo is crazy. This game is incredible so far.
