@Frigate the demo did what’s I was worried it would do, kill off a bit of my initial hype, so my first evening spent replaying that section (just more slowly) wasn’t as fun as it could have been. Then Saturday I had a couple of beers and wanted to play something relaxing, so Divinity went on. And that’s bled in today as I’ve just sat down and fired Divinity up 😂
Still, Resi 2 is really great, going to have my fist run polished off by the end of next weekend for sure.
@kyleforrester87 I'm really curious what you will say in the end as, for me, it's 2019s biggest disappointment yet (Long way to go though ^^). It's by no means a bad game (I'd rate it 7-8) but after playing through I could just wonder how they could make a game worse with so many more people. I still hope for a 3 Remake but it won't be day one again.
Finished Leon's A Route. Fantastic game. I'm thankful there's a second route, though, because it ends VERY abruptly.
In true Resident Evil fashion, I suffered through most of the game leaving enemies be, and ended it with 300+ Flamethrower ammo (despite using mostly my flamethrower to torch Berkin's final form in a hilariously short amount of time, thanks to my insistence on not using the weapon against the plant monsters), 100+ rounds for my normal handgun, and upwards of 20 bullets for my shotgun. I got the MAG round count down pretty low in that final fight against the Tyrant, though.
@Ralizah well done, despite me looking forward to it so much I actually haven’t played much of it. Firstly, because I’m really trying to get through a hump in Divinity 2 (yes, it has big humps) and secondly I’ve been pretty full on at work and it’s not the best game to chill out with in the evening. I’ve got a long weekend ahead so might give it another shot! Looking forward to getting into it properly soon though.
@kyleforrester87 It's stressful, but in a fun way. I was planning on putting an entire game between Routes A and B, but I might just dive back into it soon. I swear to god, I'll be hearing Mr. X's stomps in my nightmares, though. I've never spent so much time cowering in safe rooms and listening for audio cues before. I'm not generally a fan of horror games where things chase you around all the time, but, all things considered, that's not the bulk of the experience.
Currently Playing: Fields of Mistria (PC); Cookie Clicker (PC); Metaphor: ReFantazio (PC); Overboard! (PC)
Finally got some free time to play this over the last couple of days and finished Leons first run. Such a great game and made me jump a couple of times, I would recommend playing with the original soundtrack as it makes it even more tense, particularly with the Tyrant. So Claire's second run next before speed running for the unlockables and we get the DLC this Friday to see what happens with the gun shop owner.
As a huge fan of the original, I think they've got this remake pretty much spot on
@carlos82 well done, I am up to where you take back control of Leon after Ada gets spiked. It’s really good, I have been a bit side lined by Kingdom Hearts 3 though.
@kyleforrester87 yeah I know exactly where you are, all I'll say is that the review wasn't entirely accurate when it suggests that zombies are the only things you'll find in the sewers and labs. There are no spiders but you'll definitely recognise something later and something that you won't.
I made sure not to pick up Kingdom Hearts 3 until I've had at least a couple of runs through this so I've got something to look forward to. Luckily there is no Tyrant in that 😂
Enjoy 😉
Older than I care to remember but have been gaming since owning a wooden Atari 2600 and played pretty much everything inbetween.
Ploughed through the last half of Leon’s campaign tonight, very cool. Played 45 minutes of Claire’s and I’ve explored a lot of the station but Mr X is all over me and I don’t know what to do next. I’ve no keys or anything really.
@kyleforrester87 haha second run is a lot tougher at the start, I did that part this morning and stumbled upon the spade key by accident getting chased by Mr X.
If you want a tip the spade key is on the third floor from the dark room save spot, top of the staircase into the room and on the table, this'll make your life a lot easier

@kyleforrester87 haha no worries, I found it by accident after being trapped by Mr X and a zombie. Back on it tomorrow to hopefully get much further or finish Claire's second run

You know one thing i notest that they removed from this game that they had in the original was a certain zombified Stars member that you would run into on your way to the police station
@kyleforrester87 lucky you, it must be a bit random as he didn't leave me until I went into the secret room. Though I have read something about it adjusting the difficulty depending upon how well you're doing. I do like how the second run apes the original a bit more with Brads room in the outside alleyway at the start and the licker corridor including it crawling across the window, also Mr X punching the camera when you check him out on the monitor in the main hall
Never played Evil Within 2, it's made by the guy who did Resi 4 isn't it? Any good?
@Areus yeah it's definitely not a complete like for like remake, however on the second run in particular there are quite a few nods to the original including that alleyway
