Topic: the DIABLO III Reaper of Souls PS4 thread

Really got into this over the bank holiday weekend, picking up where I'd left off ages ago. Completed all five acts and got my (sweet as) Demon Hunter to Level 6 Paragon and now enjoying Adventure Mode. Not liking that I'm gonna have to do the whole game with all characters and get them to level 70 if I Plat it though. That just seems like such a ball ache. Oh well, been fun so far.

Once you have adventure mode unlock any of your characters can do it even new ones. Same goes with rifts, you just have to put some riftstones in your stash.

A few questions if anyone would be so kind to help me out...

Does adventure mode and the rifts adapt to what level your character is or are they always pretty high (seeing as you have to complete the game first to get them)? Like if I take, for example, a brand new Crusader into it will he be slaughtered because he's level one?

How many bounties are there? The map shows five per act so that's twenty-five but you have to do five hundred to get a Trophy. Once you've done them do you do them again, do more appear or do you need to use a new character?

Is there any way of finding out how many treasure goblins you've killed, items crafted, gold you've picked up or rifts you've done?

I believe (could be wrong on this one) that everything scales to the level that you are currently at. So a low level character, everything would be scaled down to that character's level. As for bounties, there are five bounties per map every time you log into adventure mode. These bounties will change every time you log in, but there is a finite number so it eventually becomes grinding out the same bounties, just takes a little bit of time. The most recent update added some new bounties into the mix. Hope that helps!

That's great, ta. Just found out the answer to the third question while looking about in Challenges too. Don't mind a bit of grinding (easy!) as it's strangely therapeutic in this game, much like I found Borderlands 2 to be.

When you have a character in the game, Open the options menu, than open the challenges menu. Challenges are just achievements that blizzard has created for the game, and many of them have to do with the trophies that you can earn. If a certain challenge has a trophy associated with it, It'll have a trophy icon to the right of the challenge. If you click on any of the challenges it'll give you a bit of information on how far you've progressed. for example: under the Adventure mode option, If you pick the challenge 'Batting 500' It will tell you how many of those 500 bounties you have completed.

Apparently they put a lot of effort into ensuring a gentle rhythm is achieved between the button presses for each of your abilities. Certainly with a few of my higher level characters I found that point.

I got it on PS3 at launch and it has a lot to give, I have a few level 70's and I'm at paragon 110 and have played for god knows how long, but then I check some other people streaming and their builds blow mine out of the water. I'm somewhat tired of it now though. Having said that I started a hardcore character over the weekend, need to get that level 70 trophy. I'll definitely be having another look to see what's changed with this new update and I'm looking forward to another large expansion. I'm sure it'll be one of my go to games for the remainder of this generation.

@rastamadeus Yes it does scale to your character level so if you take a level 1 into a rift or on a bounty it will scale. Just check what difficulty you have it set on. Like for example I was playing my decked out level 70 Crusader on Torment 2, when I switched over to my Demon Hunter who's only 55 and not that we'll geared I went into a rift and got my but handed to me. Once I lowered the difficulty I was fine.

Also I might be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that even if you have a wide range multiplayer group the creatures scale down to the level of the player that is hitting them or they are hitting.

Unless the console is different from pc. It scales to the person that creates the game session. One way we used to power level on pc was to have the low level create a game at torment 6(or whatever it was called back then) than the higher levels join and slaughter the place. the higher player wouldn't get anything but the low guy would rake in the xp and legendaries.

@Krozath did you get back online? I'm away from my ps right now but do we get 48hr access to psplus in each game as a download? I remember that on xbox. If so I will try and get a code for you.

Nope, Not online till next week when I get paid. Sony only allows 1 free trial per account. They used to allow you to stack em if you got codes from games, but I tried it not too long ago without any luck. I think they changed it when ps4 came out.

Good game tonight, krazoth and I have level 19 greater rift keystones in our backpacks and clay got booted at level 15 I think, you missed out we had 6 seconds left and beat the boss which was absolutely brilliant and we both got some decent gear. Be on at some point on Saturday or Sunday for an hour or 2. If you need better gear these greater rifts are the place to be.
