And Plat #99 goes to The Quarry! Finally found a method to pop Hard Pass that worked for me. Shout out to all the madmen over at psnprofiles that tried absolutely everything to pop this buggy trophy before an update fixes it.

It definitely won't stay that rare for long.

Hard to recommend outright. It depends what you like. It is a ridiculously difficult twitch platformer that tested my dexterity, determination and sanity. But the struggle is part of the narrative and there is a sense of achievement when you overcome the challenges. That being said you are able to play the whole thing from the outset with assist mode on which negates almost all challenge entirely and would make it a relatively simple straightforward but less meaningful platinum.
I completed the main game unaided then used assist mode for the clean-up. I would not have had the ability to do the B and C-Sides without cheating.
But it often turns up really cheap in sales so if you want a challenge then maybe give it a go.

@render I've been thinking it'd be neat to get a platinum of every whole number rarity (using PSNP rarity). I'm actually already pretty close, would still need like 31%, 65%, 100%, and just a couple others. Already got multiple candidates for what you'd think would be the hardest like 0%-5%, maybe I can find some of the missing rarities on PS+, since reality is those games'll keep me occupied for a while.

@sorteddan this is one of the paid avatars for I think Disgaea 3 or 4, but there's a trick to get free avatars. You can set any image as your profile pic and it shows that instead of your avatar in most places. Others still see your officially chosen avatar, but who cares what they see, as far as it looks to you, whatever you want.

Edit: @RogerRoger, came in while I was typing. I accept the platinum Spider-Man oath "I promise to do everything in my power to get platinum trophies." Sounds more sinister than the real Spider-Man oath, which is totally a real thing, though lol!

Not to be left behind but just got a free platinum for loading GT7 on my PS4 as my progress autoimported from the server. I’ll take it!

As for my 100th, I don't have anything special planned but it's looking like it will most likely be Destruction Allstars. I found a boosting group so I can clean up the ones I didn't get playing the intended way. I just need some of the harder character trophies and another 14 wins. I was spewing when they took away the team based modes a while back (they brought it back with the recent updates) because I'm just not good enough to win in solo lol.

Platinum #37 is Shadow Warrior 3
Done in a weekend. Needed a guide to find all the upgrade orbs, otherwise rather easy.

@Voltan well done buddy, sounds like they made the third a bit easier then as I’ve heard the first Shadow Warrior plat is incredibly tough.

@colonelkilgore In my experience the first Shadow Warrior* is first of all just not fun, so that probably makes getting trophies even harder

*in the reboot series, the 1997 game was rather good

Edit: apparently SW3 didn't have NG+ or chapter selection at launch, which means it was originally harder to get all the trophies - good for me they added them in a patch, I guess

@RogerRoger haha... It's not that bad, fun to jump into every now and then. I actually put in over 20 hours when it first released before it died off and modes disappeared. It will be nice to have this one behind me though.

@RogerRoger @WCB I enjoyed it for a while too. Unfortunately the loss of the modes took a lot of fun out of it. They also tried to do the esports thing with it as well as giving a battle pass ago. None of those worked but it gave the impression that they were just experimenting with it to find something the would stick.

It’s actually not a bad game played in short bursts but I do think that’s the issue with why it’s not been successful. No doubt they wanted something people were going to sink a lot of time into and hence money and it’s just not that sort of game.

Finally obtained the Rayman Legends platinum trophy.

For reference, this was a game I'd finished back in 2015. For all intents and purposes, I 100%ed it back then, and got pretty much every other trophy. But going for the platinum requires one to obtain the final level of awesomeness, which involves literal MONTHS of grinding daily and weekly challenges. I wasn't up for the grind back then, but after hearing about Ubisoft shutting down online services for other versions of the game this year, I got scared and realized I needed to obtain this plat now before something happened and it was left permanently out of reach for myself.

Everyone else’s achievements pale into insignificance against what @Ralizah has just achieved. One of the most bizarre and infuriating trophies ever.

And I think they’re almost mocking you with the bonus 50,000 lums reward as you will have unlocked everything you needed those for years ago!

Got the Platinum in Yakuza 0. Took 140 hours. Unreal.

@Thrillho Yeah, the rest of the trophy list is great, but that one trophy really is such a gigantic hurdle. It's not too bad if you can get into a daily rhythm with it (which I ended up having to do), but for someone like me who plays a game, quits, and moves on, it required a lot of mental fortitude to stick with.

I finally caught my white whale, though!

The Vita version is actually even harder, since it has the additional requirement of getting a diamond cup in one of the online challenges, which requires scoring in the top 1% of a challenge. Which I find is almost never possible for myself, since there are some really insane players out there who make that goal almost insurmountably high most of the time.

Yeah, they keep rewarding with me lums, but, for whatever reason, those ones never count toward my goal total for this challenge, so they're totally useless once you've unlocked everything else. I would have cleared this achievement years ago if that was the case.

@johncalmc Good work. Having played part of that game, I can only imagine how much energy went into doing everything.
