@colonelkilgore
Hi. No I meant the load you can carry is now linked to stamina. Which makes sense. In network test it was with strength

The crowd, accepting this immediately, assumed the anti-Eurasian posters and banners everywhere were the result of acts of sabotage by agents of Goldstein and ripped them from the walls.

@lolwhatno I've started each game thinking I will experiment a bit more, but always end up doing a dex build as I like using bow and arrows too much.

@colonelkilgore I'm not a particular fan of fat rolling and there has absolutely been a difference to movement when you have a lower equip load in the Souls games.

@JJ2 ahhh… okay. That’s cool, as I always like to put a fair few points into endurance anyway to ensure I have enough to dodge roll out every trouble if things go awry.

@JohnnyShoulder it’s always been percentage though right. I never fat roll… I just make sure that my equip load is low enough a percentage to fast roll.

@colonelkilgore Yeah that's right, but for me getting my endurance that high with the heavy stuff to lower my equip load always requires too much of a grind, which I've never found enjoyable. And I've had all the relevant rings equipped etc.

@JohnnyShoulder I just wear next to nothing, I’d imagine the various pieces of armour/clothes combined that you end up wearing probably end up weighing around the same (if not more) than the UGS I ain’t up using.

Rolling is my go to defence as I’ve never clicked with parrying… so I fast roll from minute one. There’s no way to grind a fast roll from the start, it’s all equip load management.

@colonelkilgore Yep I know all this mate and I've tried and it is simply not for me as there are too many sacrifices I have to make. I like being fully kitted out in whatever armour set I choose to wear. I like have quite a bit of equipment on me too, etc. There are lots of different reasons why I never liked going down the strength build route.

I'm not too bad at parrying these days. Could never get the timing right when I first started playing, but I'm OK at it now.

@JohnnyShoulder I’m not suggesting you use a strength build, you just seemed to make some assumptions that were incorrect. So I explained 😉

@colonelkilgore Were they incorrect though? Maybe for the way you choose to play but not for the way I do.

@JohnnyShoulder well it ‘seemed’ like you assumed I fat-roll… and then it ‘seemed’ like you assumed I over-level to be able to fast roll. 🤷‍♂️

@colonelkilgore When did I say you specifically did those things? I think you have misunderstood what I posted. I wasn't implying that at all. I was saying from my perspective and the way I play, that is all.

@JohnnyShoulder fair enough, just seemed that way as no one was suggesting that you should change your play style to strength. We were just discussing what we liked. Then you commented on what was wrong with strength builds, so it seemed you were commenting on those that use strength builds rather than explaining why you do not.

@colonelkilgore Yes, I know that no one is suggesting I should change my play style. I'm explaining (or trying to, and very badly it seems) from my point of view and my playstyle, why I've never gelled with a strength build in the past having tried it.

@JohnnyShoulder it’s all good pal, it was just a discussion… it never broke out into online fisticuffs or anything. Maybe we should do some jolly co-op, our different builds would probably compliment each other.

@colonelkilgore As long as we are both only wearing our pants.

@JohnnyShoulder well I certainly will be… from this morning though, it sounds like you have a genuine problem with bare-chested barbarism. Maybe we’ll make a Conan of you yet 🍻

@colonelkilgore Only in Souls games. IRL it is entirely different.

Personally I love using the cool shields and armours in the games. In Elden Ring you can actually customise your armour (if you find the right item allowing it) and I think it’s awesome.

@JJ2 that’s a cool little addition!
