@velio84 Thanks for the tips. I noticed from your online win the other day that you'd gone for the front camera and it did seem to give a good level of visibility so perhaps that's the one that I'll try first. I really want to nail that corner!

Understating wise - it seems like we are all doing what professional drivers do which is to wheel out as many excuses as you can as early as you can 🤣

I had another go tonight and just equaled my best time even after changing some settings and trying the front camera view. Even if I try and get the power down early it just feels like it gets bogged down and it takes ages to accelerate. I’m going to have to take a break on that one and carry on for now before I lose my mind 😆

@velio84 Noted, I’ll come back to this one shortly. It’s still early days as I’ve only done 3 - 4 cafe menus so I’d rather get going on some other things just to mix it up a bit. Those circuit experiences sound brutal 😅

Yeah, I'm now (almost) in the gang. Watching the pretty replay after getting the gold on first music rally while the rest of the game downloads - may take a while! Anyhow give me a few days to get up to scratch then I may be tempted to join the online stuff you guys are organising. Feel free to add me if I'm not already on your list (Psn name same as username)

...and got me a well deserved million credits for that time a couple of weeks ago, before I owned the game, when the servers were down. Also good to see some of you have better times than me at stopping within 400 meters on first crappy license tests!

Well on the subject of license tests I’ve finally beat my nemesis, the A1 hairpin bend. I managed to bring it to within a whisker but couldn’t get it under it for ages but then I damn well nailed that as sucker.

There’s not many things that I’ve found so rewarding just having to repeat the same thing again and again but it was really satisfying dialling that in.

Unlocked the missions today and these are great fun. I blitzed my way through all the first level of them forgetting to even activate the cafe menu for them. I’m hoping the later ones are just as good.

I was thinking if we are having a Push Square race sometime this week / soon do we want to agree on a car type and track(s) so that we can all get a bit of practice in? I’ve not been doing too many races at the moment so would be good to get a heads up 😀

@Abarth_71 I've not played with the livery editor yet, but that looks brill. You defo need some commission from this site when racing that

If you sign up with a manufacturers tournament in sport mode you will get access to a group 3 and 4 car from them for the duration of the tournament - these can be used in other events also - you don't actually have to take part in it but can use these to save some credits or to test them out before buying!

Sounds good, hopefully I can join on Wed, if not at 8pm will be on later. Like the track choices, just need to find myself a gr3.

I had a look and haven’t got any GR3 or GR4 cars yet. Are there any unlocked as part of the cafe / other challenges? I’ve got 1.4m so can buy something anyway but I’d rather use that for an informed purchase.

What’s everyone else got in that department?

@render I've got a mustang and supra, both gr4 and I've not bought them so got them either via licence tests, missions or café (and I've not completed them all yet).
I'll be using those, won't be buying anything fancy.

As kairu mentions above, signing up to a manufacturer in sport mode effectively loans you cars of this category too, so I'll look at that later

I am loving how fixed the lottery cards are. Every time it lands on the crappest prize and it just makes me laugh 😂

@Kairu I’ll maybe have a crack at the circuit experiences as I haven’t really touched those yet but will try and clear some more cafe tonight.

@Sorteddan @velio84 I’ve had a similar experience but have got lucky twice and won 2 tuning parts. I think they employee the same code as most gambling establishments as there’s probably just a 1% chance of getting a car.

Just acquired a gr3 car via the sport manufacturer competition or whatever it is. First time driving a gr3, what a beast. Shaved 7 seconds off a lap time instantly

@Kairu mclaren, just went in blind without testing any of them. Just did a circuit experience with an R8 and hated how that handled so pretty pleased with the mclaren. Can't get close to some of your times though!
