I'm willing to wait. The site's great as it is, it'll just be a while before it gets better. You guys work hard, just keep going!

I'm in the UK and open to any sort of get together. Doubt I'll make it to EGX this year, but I do generally get up to MCM London in October if that's anyone's cup of tea, as that's only a short train ride for me.

Agreed more community events would be cool, although I don't think I actually have any of the games everyone else seems to be meeting up for, I might need to make a few investments if I want to get involved!

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

As nice at it would be to get out and meet many of the people I share a passion with, I very much doubt that I could - even at a gaming event as being disabled it limits my options greatly

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...

Sadly I live in the U.S. and I am not too fond of meeting strangers who I fear based on suspicion.

Nothing better than meeting strangers - that's how friends are made, afterall

Seriously just give it a rest. We aren't going to give up.

Are you blindly accusing me of something?

Nope not at all. Blindly would imply that I don't know. I know what your doing and you seriously need to stop. It's not worth your time or ours. We won't stop and if you think otherwise then you are a fool. Don't make this harder on yourself.

That's very true, however most conventions or new built arenas have better access - that Said I'm not disabled and if your in a wheelchair or have mobility issues I can understand as my mate was born without a leg. Maybe one day we can have a game on the c64

Yeah, even with the access a lot of venues have in place I'm not sure I'd fancy attending a big event if I was mobility impaired in some way. The only big event I've been to is the MCM Expo held at Custom House in London, and over the last 10 years the increase in the number of attendees has been insane, the crowds there now are massive and it can be difficult enough to get around at times as it is, especially if you're trying to get a look at a popular stall!

Its not just access, but the whole process of getting there and back as well as getting around. Its tiring and can be stressful enough for a fully abled person - especially if you don't know anyone personally. Not driving either puts you at the mercy of other people and/or public transport systems too and if you need to get home quickly for medical reasons, the further away, the longer it takes.
