In the sunny Costa Brava last year I couldn't see the screen whilst playing on the Vita. I am about to head back to Spain in May and want to play whilst sunbathing. Do we have a solution?

I'm not sure there is one. It's funny isn't it - back in the Game Boy days, you needed to be in light to have any chance of seeing what you were doing. Now with the PSP and Vita, you need to avoid light to see what you're doing.
There might be glare covers you can get for the screen, but I doubt they're very good.

there's some on Amazon, but one review states they are screen protectors but not anti glare. Yep lights on for the gameboy, the advance didn't even have a backlight originally.

This is an interesting one, because I yearn for some sort of glare protection, too. Playing Vita or 3DS outside with any kind of sun is almost impossible - absolute pain!

One day this is gonna be a big gimmick for a device.

ISP yes, gimmick no. Last year I saved playing final fantasy 7 for ages until I went on holiday (that was hard) and when I got there I couldn't see anything sat in the sun, I made it upto the train on the way to the second mako reactor and put it down. I was gutted. I never knew it was that bad - you cant see what's going on. Also the overheating was bad it shutdown on me, I forgot to post that above.

It just doesn't really work sitting back in the sun trying to use a laptop/play games. You just get too hot and distracted. Make a little sun shade for it out of cardboard
I think he meant USP - unique selling point. Maybe?
yep that's what I meant. The I is next to the u on my keyboard on my phone sorry lads. Good work Sammy and Jaz that must of looked odd. ISP actually means internet service provider. Might look into anti glare research and development - not much out there in afraid. If anyone finds anything that works let me know.

I've always hated this. Especially for my DS since even if you turn the backlight off, you still can't see a thing.
This isn't as bad but my TV (Which has really crappy brightness) always gets hit by sunlight. Therefore, any games with dark colors I can't play in the daytime.
