Damn, jealous of that sale. Suikoden for those prices is insane!

I already have most of the numbered FFs, but will probably grab Dissidia 012, as I loved the first one when that originally launched. Also going to grab MGS3 HD (already have the PS3 versions, but would like to have 3 at least on the move). Wasn't sure about getting EDF as I'm not sure it's really for me, although at that price I might end up getting it anyway. The main other fairly cheap game I'm looking at for Vita is Oreshika.

@Clay_Davis83 to be fair they are only £3.99 each even outside of the sale, so they're never exactly expensive! It's a shame they weren't able to port Suikoden III on to the Vita though, as I'm never likely to find the time to play it on PS3!

Going back to the topic of the sale though, I have to say the PS3 section is pretty good as well (although I already have most of what I want from it). Ni no Kuni for £4, and £1.20 each for ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are absolutely mental prices.

Well I sunk 100+ hours into the first Dissidia so I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy this one. I gather it actually contains the entirety of the original game, as well as the fully fledged sequel, so if you're interested it is a pretty meaty package.

From memory, the combat was fairly fast placed and fluid, with huge amounts of customisation on offer. Story left a lot to be desired though. It'll be another day or so before I pick it up though, as I'm on the cusp of the platinum for FFX-2 (last little bit of Last Mission to do, then just filling out the bestiary) so want to finish that before I let myself get distracted from it!

If you've never played it, and enjoy TRPGs, you should also pick up FFT: War of the Lions (unless you're in the US and can get the original PS1 FFT). From what I understand, it's the original game prettied up a little bit (and in wide aspect ratio) and swapping out Cloud for some FFXII characters as optional unlockables (a shame, as I loved unlocking Cloud in the original!).

Also is that £36 including FFIV (which is still at it's usual ridiculous full price)?

@SteveButler2010 ive got war of the lions, its set In Ivalice - which just reminded me Vagrant story was £2.50 as well. But Disgaea 2 (probably spelt that wrong) is my favourite trpg - I love the story, going into your weapons own levels, going to the dark court, prinnies and the actual manga cartoon at the start of disgaea 2 blew my mind. I unfortunately only got a couple of characters over level 200 but I had to sell it when I joined the navy.

Unsure about ff4. Gonna play the vita later and will let you know, unless you get there first

Anyway its easily the best promo ive seen, would of loved p4g and dangaronpa to be a £10 as I'm yet to play them, they were both £17.50 But will probably buy ff6 and disgaea 2 - it would be daft not to at these prices. Also I'm stuck on Seymour flux on ff10 if you have any advice Steve can you put it in the ff thread it would be most welcome.

Yeah, like I said it's a refresh of the first FF Tactics, that being the first FF set in Ivalice. Vagrant Story I tried once but didn't get far before getting stuck, will give that a go again at some point! I only played the first Disgaea, which I found a step too far for me as it just seemed to take forever to get any levelling done, all seemed v grindy. I've heard good things though, so I may go back and persevere with one of them. One last honorable mention for TRPGs has to be Jeanne d'Arc. If you have access to a US vita account, give it a go, it's developed by Level 5 and comfortably sits as some of their better work I thought!

Yeah it is a great set of deals. The FF sale they tend to do once or twice a year is also good as that usually covers all the games at once, but as for sheer variety of content in this sale it's pretty insane! I got P4G really cheap ages back, never actually finished it, I really need to! I started enjoying it less, as I got too bogged down with obsessing over not missing anything and using guides, which isn't the way to go on a first playthrough, so I'm definitely going to go back and do it at my own pace. Danganronpa is really good, but yet again I stopped half way through for some reason! So much backlog :S

And I've left some tips over on that board for you, hope it helps!

@SteveButler2210 Disgaea is an acquired taste, its hard to enjoy initially, however once you get into your character builds that's where the game opens up. Number 2 is my favourite out of the first 3 games (never played 4) you can beat the game without stepping over level 50 or 60 if I remember correctly. Thanks for the ff stuff I was in work earlier. Will give it a bash tomorrow evening.

Ok well I might give them a go at some point then, maybe next time they're on sale (I'm still ploughing through FFT:A2 at the moment so won't need another TRPG for a little while (and will probably grab Fire Emblem 3DS first). My main problem was the daunting depth of the game. I'm someone who likes to see all a game has to offer (or close to it) - having a game where you could feasibly spend tens of hours levelling up one weapon was just too much for me haha! No problem mate, look forward to hearing how you get on.

I bought Trails in the Sky as part of the "Big in Japan" sale and it's excellent so far. Only about 4 hours in but I get the feeling it's a going to turn out to be a great JRPG. Granted it isn't a 'pure' Vita game, but might be worth watching a YouTube clip or two and snagging it in the sale if it's your type of game. I think the individual sale has ended but you can get a bundle with Persona 2 for around £10. Good value in my eyes.

I'm waiting for Trails to get an individual discount again. I never got on very well with the first 2 Persona games, so I'd rather wait a bit than pay extra to get it bundled with something I don't really want. Hopefully it happens sooner rather than later though, as Trails looks great and I've heard very good things about it!

I'm really enjoying Trails so far and I'm even playing it right now. Taking a break from Suikoden (i took your advice a few weeks ago and bought 1 & 2, cheers for the tip) at the minute. I like the little details such as varied characters, interesting setting, good soundtrack...etc so it's right up my street. Trails is normally £25 so it might be worth getting with Persona 2 for £10 as it is rarely on sale on the PSN store from what I've seen.

@General_Spiller: hmmm, it normally shows up a couple times a year, and I've got plenty to keep me busy for now! Good to hear some direct positive feedback on it though, as I'm now certain I'll grab it at some point

How are you finding the Suikoden games? It's years since I played Suikoden (never played II), but I really enjoyed it when I did. Very old school but I think it's nice to go back to the classics every now and then! Thinking of picking up Breath of Fire III while that's on offer, as I never finished that.
