I just recently found out Bravely Second is in the charts in Japan so I guess it released! The only review I've seen is Famitsu's which, of course, rated it highly. To be honest if it's more of the same I'm quite happy because I enjoyed Default.

Does anyone know when we would get a UK release? From what I can tell it's TBC..

Im pretty sure it will, Bravely Default was pretty succesful and it was published by Nintendo on NA/EU, it will take some time if its like the first game thou, had a TON of writing and voice acting, surely not easy enough.

Still haven't found the time for Bravely Default yet. It's looked amazing to me from day 1, but I just find it so hard sometimes to justify buying expensive 3DS games (which seemingly never decrease in price) when I can spend significantly less a lot of the time to get even more games on the PS3/4/V :/

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

@Faruko Was the delay in the Western release of BD simply down to the translation or were they undecided as to whether to release here or not? Hopefully it's a case of the later and we'll see the sequel much quicker.

@SteveButlet2210 It's a game not without its problems but I actually got a 3DS just for it in February 2014 and outside of the new Pokemon (which I really don't like!) it's the only game I've purchased. I don't regret getting the console specifically for it but I can see it not being up everybodies street either. My wish would be for a little more exploration within towns and villages, and a little more music since - as good as it is - some of it does loop a little too often and begin to grate.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the second has done much to address these two issues I had with the first game, but no matter - it's not enough to put me off.

@kyleforrester87: Definitely, loved the first one, was one of only a couple of JRPs I've actually finished over the last few years.

I was kind of over-leveled by the time @TripleGK's (legitimate!) complaint registered in my game, so I just turned off spawns for that part and charged through. Can't wait to start on the 2nd one. I can even plug my 3DS into the main sound system now. It'll be fantastic!

I have never even gotten around to playing the first one yet. Perhaps one of these years.

Don't own a 3DS, but I thought the first game looked great and a lot of fun.

@kyleforrester87 Is that date confirmed for the US? Just curious, since it still states "This item will be released on December 30, 2016. " on Amazon.com. Which usually means that they don't have the exact date of release yet.

I've wanted to buy the first game for a while but have been waiting for a digital sale which is a thing apparently Nintendon't

It may be a good game, but if it isn't on PC, PS4, or PS Vita, I don't really care about it.

I'll take the Vita to the grave with me, even if Sony won't.

@TripleGK: Yeah it was a really obnoxious design choice to have the final chapter play out the way it did. Fortunately I enjoyed the combat/jobs enough to see me through but I can see why some people lost interest. As I understand the sequel doesn't have this kind of repetition toward the end game, but it's still a 60-100 hour game.

@WanderingBullet: Nah the US are getting it in April at some point (it is confirmed, I just can't remember the day!) I actually got a 3DS for the first game and haven't bought another game for it since, so it's kind of a Bravely Machine :/

@NomNom: I do the majority of my gaming on Playstation systems but sometimes a game comes along that interest me enough to buy a whole new console! It helps that 3DS's aren't hugely expensive.

@kyleforrester87: Wow, the review is already out? Isn't the game due to release in April?

Anyways, I'll be going to the local bookstore to check on that Bravely Second: End Layer art book this weekend since they've finally restocked it.
