I have a longbox copy of King's Field for PS1, and the plastic thing to hold the disc from the center has cracked and become unusable. I'm currently storing the disc in a paper CD sleeve inside the box, but would like to fix the box if possible. Also, I stupidly threw out the foam that came in the box thinking that it was just packaging from the seller. Is that needed to hold the disc in place if I fix the box? And finally, while not a big deal, there appear to be someone's initials on the label side of the disc in marker of some sorts. I've tried rubbing alcohol, but it didn't work.
I think I fixed it now. I ended up cutting the center part of a CD case out and gluing it on top of the broken part in the Longbox with Gorilla Glue. Seems to be holding well, although the disc is raised a but due to this.
