Where Do You Find Crops, Wood, and Minerals in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

Hideout resources can be sourced from a number of different places, and these items can be used to expand and improve the buildings inside your Hideout. Doing so unlocks new abilities and features, so it's an important component of the overall experience. Below we've detailed where to find Crops, Wood, and Minerals via the three main sources we've found.

Castles

The best source of Hideout resources, where you'll find good stocks of Crops, Wood, and Minerals, are the Castles spread across the open world. When you open your map, look for the white Castle icons generally placed in the middle of towns.

The description that appears will detail their Wealth rating, which indicates how much Crops, Wood, and Minerals are stored there. They all generally have a high amount of Wealth, so exploring these places will net you lots of Hideout resources.

Port Traders

Another way to source a considerable amount of Hideout resources very quickly is from Port Traders. Generally found in cities, look out for the black and white icon of a ship anchor — this indicates the location of a Port Trader. Talk to them and browse their wares to find Crops, Wood, and Minerals for sale. However, you'll obviously have to part ways with some Mon to get them in this fashion.

General Exploration

Our final suggestion for finding Hideout resources is to always be on the lookout while you're exploring towns and settlements. To do this, hold the L2 button. The screen will become zoomed in and a white icon will appear in the middle of the screen. If you run around with the trigger held in, important resources such as the ones for Hideout upgrades will pulse with a golden light on-screen. You can then go to where the light is and take the items for yourself.
