How do you start the Automatron DLC in Fallout 4? A robot-focused expansion for the Bethesda RPG, you may be wondering how you actually access the new content. In this Fallout 4 guide, we're going to reveal how to start the Automatron DLC.
How Do You Start the Automatron DLC in Fallout 4?
To start, we're assuming that you've bought it: the content can be acquired from the PlayStation Store as part of the game's Season Pass or as a standalone purchase. Either way, you'll need to download it to your hard drive.
Once you're done, you can check that it's installed properly by selecting the 'Add-Ons' option from Fallout 4's main menu. If you see Automatron included in the list of DLC, then you should be good to go. If you don't, well, it may be worth rebooting your PS4 and then looking again. If it's still not there, check the obvious stuff: is the download complete, for example?
The Automatron quests can begin as soon as you exit Vault 111 at the beginning of the game, but it's recommended that you hit Level 15 first so that you don't get gunned down in a matter of seconds. In that sense, you may want to do some adventuring before you kick things off, or load up a save that you've already put some time into. Either way, you'll find a new quest added to your list in the Pip-Boy; the first stage is to listen to a new distress signal anywhere out in the Commonwealth.
Once you've done this you'll be asked to locate an ambush near to Wattz Consumer Electronics; this is a dungeon slightly to the north east of the Institute. We've included a map of the location that you need to track down for reference below.
